I was asked some questions regarding the situation and told to turn the furnace off for a while in hopes that it would reset itself. It did, but I was still apprehensive about going to bed with the furnace in that condition. At my insistence, a technician was dispatched to my home to check the furnace. I expected him to be annoyed, but he was very accommodating. I appreciated the extra effort.
