A few years back I gave this place a glowing review, I've since moved away and in the fall moved back here again!! I've had a few visits to Jolie over the past few months and this place has gone from the best to well.....not even close!! I'm not sure whats gone so wrong but its safe to say that I will not be back nor will any of my friends that used to frequnt this spa. Pros: none Cons: too many more

Recently I went to Jolie for an eyebrow waxing. Having been looking for a great spa for sometime, I was very impressed with Jolie's uptown atmosphere and courteous staff. Recently I purchased a gift certificate at Jolie and was treated like a weasel. All I wanted to do was to purchase a gift certificate for my girlfriend. The staff member handling my purchase could not have been more condescending. If I had been more familiar with other spas in the area, I would not have made this mistake. Do not go there. My girlfriend will be using the certificate to buy products, not services, because of my unsavory experience (wish the certificate were refundable). more

If you want a less than friendly front desk staff, appointments you have to wait 20 minutes for and overpriced services - then this is the place for you. On my second trip I was made to wait for over 20 minutes- no explanation why. They had me down for the wrong hair service so the woman had to work like crazy just to fit in my cut. I was stressed that she was going to mess up. The blowdry was hurried and rough. In the end the talent was good, but I felt the 55$ price tag was too high given the service. To top that off, even though she was in a hurry to get my hair done the same person did my lip wax. I won't be back. I will head back to Salon Blu. THIS PLACE TOTALLY SUCKS!! I paid for a 30 min massage & only got 20 min! My friend paid for a 1 hr massage & only got 45 min... The masseuses were ok, but all the other staff were rude jerks. They treated us like we were the scum of the earth & thought... I was not impressed & would NEVER recommend this place. I wouldnt even take my dog here! Seriously, theyre that bad. more

I also felt like I needed to comment since I don't agree with the low ratings for this spa. I made an appointment after a friend had a super experience with waxing. I called and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I had lots of questions about waxing treatments and they did not make me feel stupid. My wax treatment was incredible and I can't wait to go back! Valentina is excellent!! You should give this spa a chance. It is not stuffy like some I have visited. I stopped going to Jolie for manicures following my last appointment months ago. I left bloody and in pain after the manicurist cut off my cuticle. I will never go back! more

As a long time patron of Jolie (the 2 plus years it has been Jolie) I felt the need to give my 2 cents on this board!! I'm sorry that not everyone's visits have been as wonderful as mine but everyone has bad days!! I generally make it in there at least once a week usually for nails but when possible several services!! My suggestion to those who did have a bad experience is for you to go back in and give it another try things change and you may end up as pleased as I am!! Also they were recently bought out by a large coperation so I believe this too will bring about more positive change!! No matter where you go there is always room for improvement! I was sent to jolie as a surprise for my b-day and couldn't have been happier with everything that awaited me!! Not only were the accomodating to me on my day but 4 of my girlfriends that were part of my surprise!! Our services were wonderful and we had alot of fun just being together at the spa!! I was fairly certain that my boyfriend was not creative enough to do this on his own and he finally admited to me that some of the young ladies at Jolie helped him plan and coordinate!!!!! Thanks to all of you from all of us!!! more
