I've been having my cars repaired at Jim's for a number of years and have always been comfortable with their service and I really feel that Jim is trustworthy. When I thought I had to go to the dealership for a big repair, Jim advised me about what I should do and he saved me a great deal of money. I don't know if he's more expensive than other shops, as one reviewer said, but the confidence I have in this shop, and the fact that they always keep my car running, is very important to me. And they couldn't possibly be more costly than going to a dealership! He's even made minor repairs for me at no charge at all. And his wife, who works in the office is very nice! more

I have a 750 li BMW which was leaking about a quart of oil every 3 days! And this is after my other mechanic fixed it. The previous mechanic wanted $890 and it would take about week.. I took my car to Jim.. They were absolutely amazing! They showed me what the other guys did wrong and what needed to be fixed to prevent it from leaking! I dropped the car off December 23rd and picked it up December 24th and only paid $500! Jim and his wife are a couple of the nicest people I have met in a long time! I give this auto repair shop my highest rating and would definitely recommend! more

I just picked up a Jeep and I was stunned that Jim took it upon himself to fix a problem with AC unit that I couldn't afford to fix. They decided to solve the problem at ""no cost"" to me. I am grateful for their consideration and commitment to quality service. Very thankful!! more

I have used Jims German Auto for years. I have found them to be honest, reliable and professional. After ready some of the bad reviews, I felt these were actually adds for other auto repairs shops. Unfortunately cars do break down and wear out, but you can't really blame the mechanic. I would always recommend Jim's German Auto to my friends. more

I stumbled upon Jim's automotive just by looking up BMW repair shops. My BMW X5 had an issue with a BMW coolant vent design problem. The Dealer wrote me an estimate for $10,000 - I almost passed out.. I called Jim's and spoke to Jim personally, he explained that he knows of that problem and guaranteed that he could fix the problem at a fraction of the cost.. Jim not only fixed the original problem but repaired several other potential problems at a fraction of the BMW estimate. The potential problems were valid and not a scam.. Jim and his Co-worker Frank took me into the shop and they showed me every particular part that they recommended to be fixed but never put pressure on me to have it fixed by them - we were in the work area of the shop for 45 minutes just talking.. I approved the repairs and our car is running fine, the car was done in less than a week....\r \r Jim, Frank and the other younger guy that works there are all EXTREMELY friendly, honest, and down to earth..\r \r Thanks to Jim's German Auto - I'll never trust my BMW with anyone else..\r I'm passing out business cards to all my friends who have BMW's, Range Rovers, and Mercedes Benz cars.. more

I have had them work on my BMW for several years and our other cars, as well. I have always been very pleased with their professionalism and service. In fact, they have corrected things that the BMW dealership had represented to me had been done, but the dealership had not actually done. So, I will continue to use this auto shop because it is hard to find a reputable shop. more

I have been going to Jim's for years. They have always treated me fairly and have kept my car running well. They found a difficult to diagnose electrical problem on my BMW and corrected the problem so that it ran better than ever. Jim's checks out the car entirely every time, so that major services are not as costly, definitely less than dealers. more

I have been taking my cars ('97 BMW/'00 VW) to Jim's German Auto for years and have had excellent service! The quality of service has been top notch and the cost of repairs much cheaper than the dealers. I am amazed to read some of the negative reviews...I guess people just have a hard time hearing the truth about their cars. Personally, I would appreciate a mechanic that told me when to get rid of a car rather than make me feel like it was worth repairing when it wasn't. It's hard to find an honest mechanic AND I rest assured knowing that I have! THANKS JIM and PAT!!! more

Ive had my BMW, and Porsche, Chevrolet truck serviced at Jim's going on over 10years, and I find them very honest, and reasonable. They take the time to show you what is wrong with your car, and try to explain the problem with your vehicle. Some people just dont understand, and cant comprehend the mechanical understandings that happen to a car that you relay on day after day, and the wear that you put on you vehicle, and before you know it, something happens, Believe me, take it to Jims., it's the best in town. He will tell you the truth, weather you want to hear it or not......its the truth... more

Wow, I am shocked at the poor reviews. I only have a couple experiences, but they were not for anything all that major. When I changed the battery on a BMW it lost all the programing for the windows, etc. Called BMW and they said it would take 8 hours to re-program and $500.00. THey told me only a BMW battery would work in the car. I bought it from Autozone and JCI is the same mfg and same specs for half the price. The BMW forums confirmed that the service dept story was a crock. Jim, said it takes a couple hours tops and the programmer does all the work way less than $100 later all was excellent.\r \r Not a problem with Jim's but find it really poor engineering that a car's accessories module would have to be re-programed after a battery installation. But many confirmed that was the case on a certain model and year range. more

My experiences have been nothing but Extremely Pleasant, and Thank the Good Lord my neighbor recommended Jim to us! Really!!!!\r \r I have found Jim and his staff to be professional, reliable, and most of all Honest! I asked Jim to go through my car and see if the repair I was told was needed by one of the local BMW dealers would be worth doing. He told me, honestly, yes you have a Good running car and it is worth doing the repair. I had him do just that and was also able to do some maintenance that I was behind in due to the high cost the BMW dealer charges. I left there feeling very satisfied and confident that I received the Quality work I paid for.\r \r Thank You Jim, Pat, Molly & the guys out in the shop for all you do .....your the Best!!! more

I am sorry others had a bad experience, but I was truly impressed with Jim's. After paying for high dollar repairs at the bmw dealership for years and still having problems, my friend recommended them to me. First, they were aware of what a previous mechanic had said, that I had blown a head gasket. Yet, they found that this was not the case. Second, they took me to look over my car and was shown the areas that needed addressing. Many of these I had been told before by the dealership but they always charged too much. I signed an estimate, and for the first time ever, the final total came in under estimate! I had great service by a knowledgeable technician and front office staff. more

I have owed a business in Corona for the past twenty years right down the street from Jim's German Auto. I have taken every car for both my wife and myself to Jim's for service for over 15 years. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the work they do there. Jim is honest and very knowledgeable and I have never felt he took advantage of me in any way. I have recommended dozens of friends and have never heard a bad word about the place. An honest mechanic is worth his weight in gold and as my father told me years ago when you find an honest mechanic don't ever let go. more
