Never Ordering From Jimmy Johns Again! 4/29/2012

I wish I could rate 0 stars, because the fact is that they don't deserve any. First my sandwich was delivered without meat...yes, can you believe it?! I later noticed it was also missing avocado and sprouts. They brought me out a new one after calling and complaining. Only this one was missing the sprouts. I checked the website to make sure that it was supposed to have them, and according to the menu, yes it was. (I later found out that they have MODIFIED menus depending on which location you order from.) So, I take both of the sandwiches and drive to the location, and they asked what was wrong. I asked them what was supposed to be on a #12, and he rambled off stuff. I added, ""and sprouts."" They said we haven't had sprouts here for 4 months. I sand, ""Well, perhaps someone should call corporate and tell them it's on their menu."" They told me that they have nothing to do with that. I said, ""well I'll be damned if I eat here again,"" and dropped the sandwich without meat on their counter (in the wrapper - I'm not that mean) and turned to leave, when one of them said, ""good."" I turned and asked, who the manager was. They all looked at me in silence (about 6 of them behind the counter). ""I said, ""Oh, that's right, no manager on Sunday, we'll I'll have to wait til Monday,"" and left. I'm really not sure why I continue to give them another chance. Especially when several years ago, one of them tossed my pickle (wrapped) to another person, and it fell in the trash, and they picked it out and gave it to me anyway. [for the record, it wasn't this location] That should have told me right there to never eat at a Jimmy Johns again. more

Unimpressed 3/7/2011

Went to the Jimmy Johns in Brooklyn Park. I ordered my sandwich but before paying I asked for pickles and was told they would give me a pickle spear. I said no I wanted the pickle on my sandwich so please slice the spear and put it on my sandwich. The girl making my sandwich said no. So I said no too and walked out. I will not spend my money at a place where they don't care about customer satisfaction. At the Jimmy Johns in St Paul, they sliced the pickle up for me. Their sandwiches are a typical sub, no better or worse than anyone else's. At least at the other sub places they seem to care about their customers. I might try another shop but I won't go back to the BP location. Apparently others have already decided this, the place was empty at lunch when I was there. more

Absolutely repellent. 5/24/2007

Service -- nice, with that perfunctory ""keep moving"" air of a fast food joint. Ambiance -- well, whatever. It's fast food. Food -- abhorrent. Disgusting. I've tried Jimmy John's three times, in three different locations, and I've come to the conclusion that this is some of the very worst food I've ever tried... and keep in mind I grew up eating my mother's cooking (gray food, anyone?). Take a word of advice -- your $5 would be better spent at the nasty little vending maching in your office's dingy little lunchroom. Pros: ... umm, they don't poke you with sticks? Cons: everything else more

LOVE JIMMY JOHNS!! 7/28/2002

I love this place! I first went to Jimmy John's in Ames, IA, during college. It took over a location where many a business had come and gone within a span of two years. However, when I first bit into a Jimmy John's sandwich, the difference was startling! Fresh ingredients, tasty condiments, superb bread! Definitely worth going after to Saint Paul! If you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for!? Pros: cheap, good food, fast! more
