Best

Food is really good

Worst

I'm afraid I have to rate this on the low end for the Poor Customer Service.

BEST Indian food EVER! 7/13/2008

WOW! My fav Indian place used to be Pabla (vegetarian) in Renton--and then I came here. I can't attest to their meat dishes, but their vegetarian dishes make me want to cry they are so good! I have been twice for dinner and once for the lunch buffet and all 3 times were amazing. I don't use that word lightly, this place has the best flavors I have ever tasted! The only downside is all the moron university student drivers trying to run you over while you're driving, parking, and walking. Also, the chai tastes a little weird to me, but I don't care, the food more than makes up for it. Pros: Food, food, and food! Pretty decent prices. Cons: Location (U district yahoos running around) more

Cant even get over this place, man 6/26/2008

I love Jewel of India. Seriously. Great food and awesome family friendly service. The fact that they deliver is really handy too. Really authentic foods and the Garlic Naan has a generous amount of garlic. Service is always really friendly and their kids are really nice too. Chicken Tikka Masala is fantastic. Always have a friendly, private atmosphere with delicious, spicy dishes. Also, unlike many other indian restaurants, the level of spiciness at which you order your food is always consistent. Did I mention they deliver? Pros: Delicious authentic food that delivers! Cons: parking on the ave more

Surprising buffet, great samosas 2/20/2008

So, I go into this simple Indian place in the UDistrict for lunch- I get seated right away, offered the menu or the all you can eat buffet. Of course, I head for the buffet! Frankly, I was surprised- the food was great, and those samosa things were delicious! It's about as plain as plain can be as far as decor, but the food more than makes up for it! Highly recommended! Pros: tasty food, good prices Cons: udistrict parking more

Tasty curries, Fresh Naans 2/17/2008

Awesome curries. We had the Veggie Vindaloo and the Malai Kofta. The naans (Onion Kulcha, Garlic Naan) was very fresh and yummy! Definitely recommend this place. The Gulab Jamun was a little dry though. (Stale?) Pros: Portion Size, Authenticity Cons: Ambience more

Based On Other Reviews of this Eatery 2/2/2008

Based on other reviews of this eatery, I went there and was very disappointed. I expected a buffet with many choices, and there was not much choice. The quality of the food was average to less than average. more

AVOID 12/13/2007

I went here with a friend and we both ordered different dishes, but we received the same dish and it was not what either of us had ordered. It was some kind of bean log. It tasted like poo. They forgot to give us cutlery, and when we finally got ahold of the server, he didn't understand what we asked for. Horrible service, really bad food. No wonder there is no one in here ever. Avoid at all costs. It's cheap because it is awful!!!! more

Pretty Good Indian Food for a good price 12/8/2007

I had never been to this Indian Restaurant. But, it seemed like most of the reviews were good. So I thought I'd invite my Men's Group to dinner there. The food was very good and the service was fine. It seems like a nice family owned restaurant with authentic Indian cuisine. I was not disappointed. I'm looking forward to supporting them in the future. Pros: Delicious and Authentic Indian Cuisine, Curteous and Genuine Service, Excellent Value and Location for Students Cons: Can't really think of one. more

Avoid delivery at all costs!!! 12/1/2007

When I called for delivery it was busy and remained busy for over 10 minutes. When i finally got hold of them, the woman taking my order did not understand me at all. She kept asking me something in a completely other language and didn't understand my address. She also put me on hold every ten seconds because she had another call or started talking to someone else in the restaurant. Two other people had to get on the line to take my correct address and in the end the goodness of the food was still sour from my experience with their bad service. more
