Jacks towing should be put out of business . The amount of complaints about this company is the proof that they are unprofessional . My vehicle was towed out of my apartment complex for a bad inspection sticker. I retrieved my vehicle that morning . From the time I left there lot in Norfolk va my vehicle was smoking . I immediately drove to the merchants tire on holland road . When I turned my vehicle off a huge ploof of smoke came from under the hood . I popped the hood to discover that oil was pooling below the engine . I got a mechanic to confirm what I saw which was a huge gash in my oil pan. Now mind u I didn't have any leak or gash or problem with my oil pan before they towed my car . I called to inform them of the damage and the ladies I. The office were very rude with me and uncooperative . I'm filing a civil lawsuit. . But I wanted to warn everyone that if they tow your vehicle check it for damages more

Jacks Towing company takes trailer park trash off the street and offers them jobs to illegally tow honest hard working peoples vehicles off the street , then comes up with many types of lame excuses to extort hundreds of dollars from them while keeping their vehicles to satisfiy his glutoness needs . more

My my best friend came over to my apt. for 30min...When she left she noticed that her car was gone and had been towed. We immediately got into my car to go to the front office to get their ph# as we pulled up WE noticed the tow truck driver had towed a RESIDENTS VAN that has been living for years !!!!! WE pulled up to him to ask about my friends car & we noticed that he was LOOKING INSIDE THE VAN and NOT for the DECAL on the window !!!!! he kept whispering to someone on his phone. I told the tow truck driver MULTIPLE TIMES that the van BELONGED TO A RESIDENT LIVING HERE !!! Reminding you he is still taking his flash light looking INTO THE VAN and not looking in the windows for the decal still whispering to someone on the phone ME & MY FRIEND standing their watching him!!! After he finally see's the decal he walks back to the tow truck & starts getting inn to the VAN back to the RESIDENT parking spot that he took it from!!!!!!!! ME & MY FRIEND both said excuse me BUT can you bring my friends car back HE blew us off got into his truck as he drove away yelled the # out the truck & told us to call dispatch.... WE called dispatch & that was a complete JOKE NOT only was he UNPROFESSIONAL BUT FREAKING RUDE & NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to drive my friend all the way out to Norfolk at 10:30pm at night on a freaking week night!!! The dispatcher said we could probably catch the driver before he put the car in and by the time we got there he had already pulled my friends car in the lot. She had to pay $125.00 for a 30min visit !!! When we return back to my apt. We seen the same same driver LOOKING INTO other cars and NOT looking for decals!!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS GHETTO / UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!!!!! We are reporting them to the BBB & WE are CALLING channel 13, 10, & 3 !!!! this place needs to be put out of business for good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I would be vary of anything to do with Jack's Towing. My husband and I moved into military housing within the last week and have already had our vehicle towed by this company. We haven't even lived in this complex for a whole week. We know that the military housing complexes are decal controlled and had affixed the decal to the front windshield on my van as instructed by the office staff. My husband left to leave for work and the van was gone. Since our other vehicle is currently in the shop, this was our only transportation method. We immediately called Jack's Towing to address our vehicle being ""accidentally"" towed. The dispatcher refused to cooperate by having someone go look at the vehicle to verify that a decal was there. The response was ""maybe you forgot to affix your decal"". My husband got justifiably upset and was then hung up on. I immediately called back and the dispatcher reluctantly had someone go look. Since the decal was in place, she advised that the vehicle would be returned to me in the next 30 mins. It took them over an hour to return the vehicle. When the tow truck got to my complex the driver could not find where he was supposed to call and I spoke with the dispatcher again. This time she had a very nasty attitude when asking where I was located at and what my address was. Again stay away from this company at all costs and try to avoid any business that has them listed as the ""authorized"" towing company. more

I went to surprise my friend this weekend at there complex. This morning I got a surprise of my own. My car has been towed, with out warning. Our car hasnt been in the parking lot for 12hrs, and already towed. We couldnt get a decal because the office was closed. So my husband has to get a ride with our friend. I am not able to go with him because my car has my daughters car seat in it. They tell us that it cost 135 dollars to get our car back. And as I am writing this my husband is wait to get my car and NO ONE is there. I am not even sure if my car is there yet either. Which I dont see how that is possible if my husband is there and are car had to have been towed early this morning. TO ALL DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR PARK ANYWHERE THAT SAYS JAKE'S TOWING!!!!! more

Very unprofessinal car has been towed from in front of my residence where i park day in and day out!! Some one came by and posted green stickers on vehiles that needed to be towed but never touched mine. now tonight they came and towed my vehicle with out notice i called to make sure it was there and now they cant find my car but i watched them take it.. Very Rude employees! Pros: nothing! Cons: They are HORRIBLE! more

MY TRUCK WAS TOWED SHORTLY AFTER ARRIVING AT THE APPARTMENT COMPLEX THAT MY FAMILY LIVES IN. I WAS IN TOWN FOR THE THANKSGIVING HOLLIDAY WEEKEND. THAT NIGHT I WAS UNAWARE OF REQUIRED PARKING PERMIT. AND THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. SO THERE WAS NO AVAILABE PARKING PERMIT. MY TRUCK WAS TOWED AND I WAS STRANDED IN THE RAIN ON A HOLLIDAY. AFTER EXPLAINING THE SITUATION TO JACK'S TOWING THRY DEMANDED $135 CASH ONLY. AND THEN HAD TO HAVE FAMILY DRIVE ME TO NORFOLK ON A HOLLIDAY WEEKEND AND ALSO HAD TO PAY $135. THE TRUCK SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TOWED IN THE FIRST PLACE. JACK'S TOWING WAS NOT AT ALL CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. THEY WERE RUDE AND USED FOUL LANGUAGE AT ME IN FRONT OF MY KIDS. JACK'S TOWING RUINED THE THANKSGIVING HOLLIDAY FOR ME AND MY KIDS. Cons: WORST BUSINESS EVER more

This ""business"" should NEVER be thought of as reputable. I had my car towed recently, and I called at 8 am to inform them that they had taken my car and it should NOT have been towed. I called again at 815 to inquire about the whereabouts of my car...it was supposedly going to be brought back and they would call me to let me know when it got here. At 10 the car was still not here, so I wrote this reveiw for this SORRY excuse for a ""buisness"". I would never even tell my worst enemy to use this place cause it is so CRAPPY!!!! This business, if you want to call it that is the most irresponsible towing service in all Hampton Roads. I had my vehicle that was in an accident towed by Jack's Towing. Upon my arrival to recover my personal belongings, I had noticed all my belonging in my trunk scattered about and my spare tire missing. I informed the office and they had no explanation. Assuming it was an unfortunate loss, I accepted what had happened. Until I noticed 4 spare tires (mine included) leaning against the fence next to another vehicle with no wheels. I again informed the office that I wanted to speak with the supervisor. When the supervisor arrived he stated he instructed his employee's to remove the spare tires to use on the vehicle with none. I mentioned that I was not informed and I explained ALL belongings in any vehicles on the lot are property of the owners and removing anything from these cars without informing the owners and getting their consent is in fact stealing personal property. He said they do this all the time and it was going to be put back. He then finalized with ""No harm, No foul"" I never received an apology. more
