I hired JH Basement this year after finally deciding it was time to finish my basement. I was hesitant for so long because I am a single mom who works from home and was uneasy about having contractors in my home for an extended period of time. For a long time my husband and I wanted to finish our basement but didn't want to hire anyone we weren't absolutely sure of. My husband and I bought our home last year and it needed a lot of work. Being new to the area we weren't sure where to start. Everyone did such an incredible job!\r My husband and I have decided to refinance and had our home appraised last week. The appraisal came in for $60,000 more than we bought it for just last year! Joe was absolutely right when he told us we were not spending $53,000 but instead we were investing it! I had the good fortune to come across this company. I contracted with them to upgrade my ugly, outdated basement. The first person I met was the owner, Joseph Hannah. He came to my home to take a look at what existed there at that time, listen and discuss what we were looking for, and even made some suggestions about things that could be done that would make area more appealing. To make a long story short, every step of the process was painless and the finished product was beautiful. Mr. Hannah as well as all of his crew conducted themselves professionally as well as displaying a keen eye for detail. I am a businessman myself & I know you do not win all those BBB awards if you do shoddy work.\r \r I signed the contract to have them add 2 bedrooms,2 bathrooms & a large entertainment room. Not only were they the lowest price but they quoted the shortest finish time 6 weeks. Everything went very smoothly. If I had any questions or concerns Joe would get back to me right away and my basement turned out better than I could imagined. It flows with the rest of the house, which is exactly what I wanted.\r \r We now spend more time in the basement than in the rest of the house.\r \r I would (and have) recommend JH Basement to anyone. more

The process was professional and timely. There were no additional charges, the work process went smoothly, a lock box was placed on the door so we did not need to be be present or bothered with the comings and goings. We had our home appraised directly after construction and the appraisal increase was for more than the basement cost. We are able to recoup our total investment.
