I highly recommend Interstate Roofing. We had 5 bids. Lance from Interstate found issues that the other four bidders did not. We had massive dry rot under the eaves and several plywood decking sheets. Mark and Eric were very communicative and consultative on plans to fix areas that needed attention. This is a very customer service oriented organization. We hit a window of nice weather and they hustled to finish before the next heavy rain. Well done. more

I called them back to let them know I was interested and they got someone on the line immediately to set up a date. We needed a whole new re-roofing and the price they gave us was competitive. Interstate Roofing replaced the roof and all the gutters on my home. This was my first time working with them and I like the way it turned out. It was expensive, but they had to replace about 60 some sheaths of sheeting, so it added up. I got four estimates when I was shopping around and they were kind of on the higher middle end of the estimates. I liked what they had to say and checked on their reputation. It sounded good to me so I decided to go with them and it turned out just fine. more

Interstate Roofing put redid our roof recently with composition roofing and I have to say their work was phenomenal. The crew was excellent. They started their day at 7 AM and finished each day by 7 PM. Throughout the job, you couldn't even tell there was actual work being done because the clean up was so thorough and no debris was left on the side of the house. The workers were safely harnessed at all times during work on the roof, so as a home owner I wasn't concerned at all about safety issues because they clearly were using good safety practices. The staff was attentive and they provided us with all the info we needed to prepare for the actual work itself. They talked to us about making sure that our attic was clear of any belongings and to prep the attic with drop cloths in case there was any debris that would come into the attic. As I already mentioned, it was their responsibility to take care of all the clean up outside the house, and they did a formidable job, but we were responsible for cleaning up the attic. In the end, there was very little debris that came through because they did such a good job keeping the debris from the roof tear off on the roof itself. The administrative folks and the supervisors were all very attentive to our questions. Their sales person who came out to go over the materials and describe what would actually happen with the crew. They did a really good job letting us know what to expect and describing the composition roofing we were going to purchase. They talked about the type of felt that would be used to cover the plywood and about how they would vent the roof after the plywood was in place. They placed the drop-box right where we needed them to so we could still have access to the garage. We were very happy with everything and have already told a number of our neighbors about how pleased we were. The neighbors seem to think the roof looks good too. We figured it was going to be a 3-4 day job, but they probably finished 90% of the work in the first 2 days and then they came back once more to complete the venting and some finishing touches. As far as the cost factor, it was very good. We had already gotten three bids from other roofing companies in the area and I think they were right in the middle of the pack in terms of cost. For us, it came down to a couple of things. For one, we have known the business and the principles involved in the business for probably about 20 years. The other is that we have seen their work throughout the area very often and have never heard anything negative about their work at all. Interstate Roofing has probably done work on about 75% of the housing in our neighborhood over the past year or so. Their reputation around here seems to be pretty good. more

The work that they did for me turned out great so I don't have any complaints about the final results. The pricing for their work was nice, so it wasn't a problem using them from start to finish. Interstate installed roofing on my home 8 years ago. The job was well done. However, in the last 8 years I have had recurrent problems with leaks. First, a leak developed over my front porch, where flashing was not properly installed at a roof valley. They sent out a man named "Rick", who identified and fixed the problem. Then, a leak developed around my chimney. At my request, Rick came out several times, in an attempt to locate and fix the problem. Although he replaced some 'sealant' (which he admitted had been problematic), he was unable to stop the leak. Then, I noticed a change in their responsiveness to my problems. They suggested the problem was in my chimney masonry, and recommended I call a chimney/masonry expert. I did, and was told by him that the chimney itself was not the problem. I reported this to Interstate, so they again sent Rick. He immediately started taking photos of the problem area, and informed me that if they couldn't identify the leak as a roofing issue, I would be charged for their efforts. Rick had a new boss (Dave Walsh) with a new 'customer service' policy. I was forced to 'wrap' my chimney to prove it was not the source of the leak, and only I seemed to realize that the most likely source of the leak was the flashing they installed at the base of the chimney and had never sealed properly. Rick came out, sealed the flashing I had suspected, and the leak was finally fixed. During the years it took to get this problem resolved, the leak had caused some visible interior damage to my home (i.e. stained masonry, drywall, ceiling, etc.). I have no idea what structural damage/rot may have occurred in areas I cannot see. I was happy that the leak was fixed, but politely asked if they could help me the damages (at least the visible ones). Dave Walsh told me he would speak with upper management and get back to me within the week. After two weeks, I called him again to leave a message/reminder. I have never heard back from Dave (or anyone else from Interstate). Nobody ever came to take photos of the interior damages, as I had suggested. Apparently, photos are only important when it is in their interest. I can't afford to file a legal suit against them, and even told them I thought we could work this out on our own. But, they have become completely unresponsive on any level of customer service or warranty. I can see how they might label me a 'complainer', but I think I've been very patient with them over the last 8 years (until now). DO NOT HIRE INTERSTATE ROOFING IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE OR WARRANTY SUPPORT. It seems they have gotten too big for their britches. more

I used the services from Interstate Roofing to help with roofing and gutters in my home. The pricing was a little bit high, but overall I thought it was fair with the work that they did. It was my first time using them, and I was recommended to them by other people. We had a quick problem within the process, but the team came right back and fixed it, so I was satisfied. We didn't have any scheduling problems with them and they were more than respectful of the home. Overall, they delivered nice service and I would recommend them. more

Interstate Roofing did an excellent job for us. They were just extremely easy to work with. They did an appraisal for us for the job,and when we had to leave town for a while, but they were very flexible in terms of scheduling the work with us. After our initial project was complete, we later called them back to do our gutters. Again, we had to be out of town, and they were very accommodating about working around us and the weather. They came in on time and completed the work with professionalism and efficiency. We were very happy with how everything turned out. They also have excellent customer service and follow up. We had to call them come back to adjust something--it looked like the shingle was listing to one side--and they were responsive. They came out the same day to fix it. The gentleman who came out to do the final repair not only took care of the issue, but he spotted a couple of other things that needed fixing and took care of them. They were just very, very, very good. Everybody was very nice, and it was a great experience dealing with them. more
