I really liked the way that the people at Interstate Roofing treated me throughout our entire interaction. These guys were just really easy to talk to and ask questions, because they gave me excellent explanations and in some cases demonstrations. Along with their great communication skills they were also very thorough in their work and making sure that everything was up to code. Once they were finished my roof looked incredible and I had no problems with it. The guys who did the work cleaned up very nice which I really appreciated. more

The guys over at Interstate Roofing really impressed me with how professional they were from start to finish. They were very easy to talk to and the person who did the job for me really took the time to explain the details and nuances of what he had done. There bid for the job was very competitive and was nice for us. The end result was fantastic, they did did some really great work, but most of all I just really appreciated the fact that they explained every step of the process very thoroughly so that it was really easy to understand what was going on in each step of the process. more

Great people to work with. There bid was totally layout in a easy to read form. I knew what I would be getting as well as any options with costs. Other bidders only give me the total cost with out telling me what I would be getting. Their roofing crew kept the job site clean when they left for the day. At job completion, my yard was cleaner then before. more

There was no high pressure sales technique. I got five other estimates. Their estimate was half of one competitor and marginally higher than some. We discovered some rotting wood at one corner. I watched as the crew repaired the area quickly and correctly. The additional cost for the repair was more than reasonable. Scheduling, timing, duration, and communication was right on target. Clean up was also very good. more

We selected Interstate Roofing to do our roofing project for a number of reasons. We know their quality of work and their reputation are excellent. In 1993 I worked for Interstate Roofing, so I know that they are a great company. We solicited numerous bids to make sure we knew what to expect to pay. We were pleased when Interstate’s bid came in extremely competitive with other roofing companies. Although we did have a few problems with the gutter installation, and some landscaping/debris problems (my wife is very particular about her shrubs), the representative was quick to resolve the issues and everything was completed to our satisfaction. Our roof and gutters look wonderful. Overall, we are very happy and satisfied with the work completed by everyone at Interstate Roofing. We definitely will recommend them to all family, friends, neighbors and everyone else! more

Interstate Roofing re-roofed my house and put new gutters on and the quality of the work, I have no qualms with whatsoever. The people that I dealt with were all very professional and I like what they did and how they did it. I expected it to take a little less time and I thought it was difficult to get good and prompt communication at points. There were a few different times when I thought it would be much more simple to get a reply and the last issue about communication was perhaps the one part of the process that made me think that I was spending a lot of money, much more money than I anticipated, and when I had to repeatedly email to try and get an answer I thought that maybe they could have done something, a text an email a phone call, something, to keep me up to speed. I think again, I did appreciate everything and all the communication that happened with the people that I met and it was also great that they were the only company that handed me a full plan that made sense to me for my house which is in a extreme location with a lot of extreme nature around it. I was concerned about a number of issues regarding dealing with the elements and they showed me how they would deal with that to address my concerns about the nature around. The answered all my questions about that. more

When I first called and talked to the estimator he was so professional. Interstate Roofing in general is very professional, when he showed up he had a nice truck it was clean he was in a uniform and just very polite. We had other bids and he wasn't the lowest but he was the most professional and the company we felt most comfortable going with. They cleaned up after themselves at night and they did a good job,. They never pulled off the job until it was completely done. I'm retired now but I was in the construction business and I know a lot of times they will leave for another job, Interstate didn't do that. They explained everything to my wife and I while it was going on, It was just a very good experience. more

We had our roof done by Interstate Roofing and it was excellent. They did a tear off and replace of our roof and the entire process was smooth and we had no issues. I shopped around before choosing Interstate Roofing and they were hands down the best quality to value ratio in the area. Their prices are the best that I've found and they have the best quality roofing, in my opinion. Jeremy, who takes care of the financial billing, did a great job working with me after there were a few billing snafus and the entire staff provided excellent service. This company was fantastic to work with, from the sales person that came out for the quote, to the office staff, to the crews here on site. They were very up front and service oriented, and presented high quality work with lots of experience behind it. The work here was efficient and clean, the roof looks great. Their price was in the middle of the three quotes I got and worth every penny. They really went the extra mile for me. Tresa, who does scheduling, arranged to move me up in their schedule so the job would not coincide with my son's home birth. She called other clients to approve the schedule change and my roof was completed one day before I went into labor. I would recommend Interstate to anyone. more

Just had a new roof replaced in July 2015. Interstate Roofing was recommended by our neighbor who had their roof replaced by them. Interstate Roofing team was knowledgeable and professional from estimator thru final inspection. Finished the job in 4 days and it looks great! Had a final inspection and warranty coverage beyond what we expected. They actually fixed our vinyl siding where there was a crack and replaced J channel which was originally missing. Enjoyable team to work with. Phone calls & emails were returned promptly. I highly recommend using them. more

January 2013 we had Interstate Roofing put a new roof on our home. We liked their work so well that when we built our shop this January 2015 we had them put a new roof on it as well. Interstate Roofing is professional, timely, and they do the job right. They also kept the job site very clean. We would highly recommend Interstate Roofing to anyone. After receiving bids from 3 different local roofing companies, Interstate fell right in the middle but had far superior customer service. The estimator was more thorough, and always took the time to answer my questions over the several weeks we were finalizing the quote. The install crew and superintendent were fast, respectful, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I worked with the crew on my own project up on the roof while they were working and they were very easy to work with. I even had their carpenters replace some siding around my chimney while they were up there and they also did a great job. Communication could have been slightly better, but frankly Interstate had far better communication than the other companies I received bids from (and a couple that apparently didn't need my business enough to call be back for an estimate!). I feel I must start out by saying this was the best experience I could have hoped for. My roof was severely damaged by a major wind storm in the Portland/Vancouver area in December 2014. My homeowners insurance informed me they had over 400 claims open over the weekend, due to the storm, and expected everything to take much longer than normal. I started by contacting 4 companies for bids. Interstate was the first to respond and the first to arrive for a free inspection/assessment. The other 3 companies got back to me the following week and said they couldn?t even come out for the inspection for another 2 weeks. When it was all said and done Interstate Roofing had the lowest bid by almost $1000. They also included a lot that the other companies considered upgrades. These upgrades included better roofing paper, new metal vents (they even included additional vents as they said I didn?t have enough), architectural shingles, metal drip edge and an excellent lifetime warranty. As soon as the insurance approved the estimate the work started the very next week. Interstate said they would wait for the insurance money so I only had to put down a small deposit. They actually took the time to communicate with my insurance company for me. The work was done in 2 days and they left the ground area exactly as it was before they arrived. I could not be happier with the work and customer service I received during what should have been a very stressful time. I am very happy to be able to post this review. Three years after we bought a new roof a 10,000 pound free fell on our roof during a wind storm, forcing us to replace the new roof!\r Interstate Roofing Company demonstrated from day one they were interested in the best way to repair, as well as quality parts and service without needing to figure out every quality decision for ourselves. A solid and effective company like Interstate Roofing in Portland Oregon can be hard to find these days but they won the bid with flying colors. We learned they only use metal vents vs. plastic like many other companies, they include drip edge, only use nails and their warranty inspection guy checked all details including making sure all kitchen and bathroom vents were actually hooked up and working. Interstate proved to be a significantly higher quality product and service from the get go without needing to argue or research. We got bids from at least 4 companies to reroof our house in an upscale neighborhood in NW Portland. Interstate was not the cheapest bid, but Tresa was the the most response sales representative. She was always immediately available for any questions we had. They had a fantastic installation crew with a very knowledgable supervisor. They would only work when he was on-site. He got sick one day and they couldn't work. I was mildly irritated by this, but now I know why! We have since moved to another house, and by a quirk of fate were not able to use Interstate to install the exact same roofing product on the second house. OMG, the results have been a disaster. I won't name the second company (yet) because we are in negotiations to correct the problem. But I can tell you Interstate is HEAD and SHOULDERS above this second company on every level: customer service, quality of work, follow up, You name it.\r It's really hard to find a good roofer and if you're buying an expensive roof don't risk dealing with someone who's not an expert in installing them. It turns out there are technical specifications that make a huge difference in the appearance. If you just want something to keep the rain out, then get a cheap 3-tab and hire your cousin. If you want a beautiful roof that you (and your neighbors) love, hire Interstate. more

From start to finish I received excellent customer service, they answered all my silly questions, gave me detailed instructions for product delivery and my roof looks amazing!! My neighbors even commented about how great it looks and that the Interstate crew was very friendly to her German Shepherd when he came over for an unexpected visit. Wish more businesses were like Interstate Roofing. more
