I have been following Michelle for about 2 years now and would follow her to the ends of the earth. I feel blessed to have found her. My mother was a stylist but moved too far away and stopped doing hair so I had to go on the crazy adventure of trying out new stylists. NOT FUN!! Well, after many scary results, I found Michelle and have been a ""groupie"" ever since. I get colors and cuts from Michelle and have so many compliments. I always look forward to my visit at Intermezzo Salon Spa. The welcoming staff, beautiful decor, smock to wear, sparkling water to drink all contribute to making my time an enjoyable experience. Stylist, Michelle McCrossen, always does an excellent job cutting my hair. It grows out well and she offers free trims for my bangs before my next visit. I have been going to Holly for 4 years now for my eyebrows, and I'll never trust another soul with them, not even myself !! When I first started going to her I'd come from a horrific experience at one of the Anastsia stations set up inside of Nordstrom, and all the hype they put into how no one does brows like them I thought my brows would look wedding day perfect from there on - well - not the case - not only did they mutilate my brows, but I actually left the chair bleeding and have never had my natural arch since because the lady ripped it off of my face -AWFUL !! I went to Holly scared as ever telling her I was putting my life in her hands, and I've never turned back !! She is amazing, truly an artist, listens to what you want, takes criticism well, is gentle and kind, makes you comfortable, and you leave feeling and looking like a princess !! I can honestly say that every single time I leave her I feel like I could be a brow model, and they look perfect every single time !!!! Consistency is hard to come by, and she is worth every penny - you will not regret going to her and I promise you will keep going back to her time and time again !!!! Holly is the best !!!! more

I was so pleased with the facial I received from Holly. I had never had a facial before and she was so accomodating to explain the process to me. The salon/spa couldn't be decorated better. Okay, so I had lost my stylist of 12 years, which is devastating as I?m sure you can imagine. So i found intermezzo and Shawn Michael through a friend of mine. I walk in to this place and, oh my god! It?s so cute! Kinda French style with beautiful chandeliers and decor. The staff is super nice and the atmosphere is really classy and relaxed. more

I have a tough head of hair and have paid $100+ for haircuts that were not as good as what I received at this salon. My stylist Shawn used a dry cutting technique in which he painstakingly cut each hair on my head. His attention to detail and the hour plus he spent cutting, resulted in a cut that framed my face beautifully. The salon is beautiful, the location is excellent, and I will return again and again.. more

This salon is exactly what Queen Anne needed! It is not only super easy and convenient to get to, the staff is SO accomodating! My stylist took the time to discuss several different cuts with me and made sure I was completely comfortable with my new cut. (And she did a great job!) I am used to going downtown and trying to find parking every time I get my hair done. Never again. This is definately my new spot! And, they have a great spa program. I just got my hair cut at Intermezzo Salon & Spa and left feeling pampered and beautiful. I saw Shawn their dry cut specialist and watched him transform puffy hair into a sleek modern style. Their staff was so friendly, after getting my haircut the skin care girl offered to touch up my make up before I went out (it was a Friday night) I left with beautiful hair, gorgeous skin, and a great new lip gloss. I was very disappointed in the cut and color I received at this salon. Stylist didn't appear to have listened to what I asked for and my hair ended up much shorter, the wrong color and styled differently than I'd asked for. Maybe this was because the stylist had too much to drink the night before. This was not my assumption - he told me so. With the quaint location on Queen Anne and the chic, opulent style inside one can't help but find themselves walking in the door to be pampered. Once inside your are greeted by the warm smiles and chatter of a salon. My favorite part is heading upstairs to get a facial or brow wax from Holly. Suddenly the world and all its noise fades away and I'm under the care and skill of this tiny little gem of a gal. Holly is my dream come true! Time and time again she diligently saves me from my self neglect. I have been following her for 4 years and am so excited she is a part of a salon and spa that rises to her glamorous style and virtue. more

What a treat! I just discovered Intermezzo, a hair salon and spa on Queen Anne. This gem of a beauty boutique is in a cute house just down the street from Trader Joe's, real easy to find. I can't say enough about this place, everyone was so friendly and the decor was over the top glamorous! I'll be coming back - and bringing my girlfriends! Pros: Ambience, glamour, elegant, fun! I have horrible brows. HORRIBLE. What's worse, is that I'm terrible about keeping up on them, which always makes for an uncomfortable conversation when I feel the need to have to apologize for my ""bad brow behavior"". I went and saw Holly in the spa part of the salon and she was AMAZING! In addition to being kind, sweet and charming, she (very gently) took away all the ugly and made me pretty again! Whoosh! Just like that! I've never ever had people comment my eyebrows of all things, and since she did my brows, I've had people actually compliment them. :-) Holly did a great job and the spa is so cute! After seeing the one negative review about this place, I felt compelled to write in defense of this salon & its fabulous owner, Marnie---enough that I actually joined citysearch (I am not normally a review-writer). I have been going to Intermezzo Piccolo for my hair cuts and coloring literally for years, and have followed this salon to its now third location on Galer Street. In the past I would occasionally try another salon, just to mix things up, but I always ended up wondering why and going back to Intermezzo. Nowadays, I would not let anyone else color my hair. In addition to being a very talented colorist and hair stylist, Marnie has a wonderful eye for what looks good on me and always gives me her opinion straight-up. Perhaps it's this straight-up quality that the grumpy reviewer didn't like. Anyway, I have several friends who are just as loyal to Intermezzo as I am, and we would all recommend it highly. more

Pleasantly surprised to find this new salon on Galer Street! Since I used to work in Bellevue, I'd been going to Gene Juarez there (Emily rocks!). But since I relocated my biz to Seattle, I was a little anxious about where to go. Intermezzo to the rescue! My sister and I both received a FANTASTIC cut & color. They're located in a cool house on Galer. I believe they only have 3-4 stylists (Loni and Marnie are both awesome) and there is a spa upstairs but haven't checked that out yet. Pros: Great service and stylists Cons: Sign should be lit at night, drove right by it. more
