I recently used the very kind lady at Hope Tailors to alter four suits i recently purchasd for almost 3,000.00 total. Only one of the suits was close to being right and the others were simply atrocious. I kid you not, one of the suit pants were so short there wer four inches between my ankle and the fabric... I looked like a clown.... a clown in a wrecked 600 dollar Hugo Boss suit. I am reasonable and often choose to avoid conflict at all costs. In this scenario i remained calm and simply mentioned they looked a tad short. She profusely apologized and said, ""OH MY, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED!"". I just reassured her and said its ok we all make mistakes i'm sure we can fix this. In the end, one of the four i am satisfied with, two i can live with but they are not perfect, and the final one was so badly shortened the first time that there wasn't enough fabric to make the length right. So, i contacted the Hugo Boss store where i purchased my suits to order the same pair of pants, which she agreed to pay for and..... they only sell them as a pair........... So, now bc i do not want her to have to buy me an entirely new suit i will have to have the manager of the HB store find me a pair of pants that will make what was once intended to be a suit coat..... a blazer. So, long story short, i am sad that this has all transpired and regret having written this 100 percent accurate account of my experience minus emotion, bc i know it may hurt her business, but if i'd read an account like this i would probably have 4 gorgous well fitted business suits in my closet. Instead, i have a hodge podge of shoddy tailored suits. Business men, i emplore you.. if you want your suits to fit right, find another tailor. Hopefully this posting will save another person from having the same experience as mine.
Pros: The woman who owns the shop is very kind
Cons: Terrible work
