Good: Will come to house anytime of day or night, although it will cost you a lot. Bad: Replaces with inferior parts not recommended by manufacturer (not OEM)and charges you a flat fee that includes the price of the parts even when the parts are free under warranty. Their guarantee is useless because if they find nothing wrong on the free tuneup visit, they will recommend upgrades required to keep your unit qualifying for their guarantee (usually starting with an expensive surge protection and a drain switch/alarm). Violated Texas Deceptive Practices Act many times over. Very rude on phone.. Improvements: Should work on Honesty, ethical, courtesy, kindness,... or be put out of business. Other: Have worst BBB rating of F. Under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission, Texas Department of Registration and Licensing and Texas State Attorney general for violations of many consumer protection laws.. more

This company is the same as Hobson Air Conditioning, Inc. I received a flyer in the mail, so I called them when I had problems with my air conditioning. They replace parts with the cheapest part they can find instead of the OEM manufacturer's recommended part, which will cancel any manufacturer's warranty leaving you stuck with them. They charged me twice the fee for replacing one part assembly, saying that it is really two parts although the parts distributor notified me the part is never sold as two parts (comes as a pre-assembled unit). They do not take advantage of free replacement parts via warranty but charge you for all parts. In order to keep qualifying for their "fixed right or it's free" guarantee, you must keep paying for addition upgrades on every free tuneup visit. Their team leader was arrogant, impolite, and outright rude on the telephone. more

Hobson/ AC Genius/ Comfort Experts...three names that all point back to one crooked company, especially when you call on them to repair your system. Their main goal is to sell you as many parts as possible, whether you need them or not. Unfortunately, they took me for quite a bit of money before I wised up. They are not BBB accredited; in fact, the BBB has given them an F rating due to all the complaints against them. I sure wished I had researched this company better. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess. Oh, and their "guarantees" are a JOKE. They have absolutely no intention of ever honoring them. Don't get burned by these people! more

I agreed to purchase an AC system from this company. They agreed to install a certain brand, quality and size unit. They also made multiple guarantees in their advertising and sales presentation. When they installed the equipment, it was the wrong brand and in the wrong location of the HVAC closet. They would not honor any of their guarantees they had advertised or promised in their sales presentation. This has been a $10,000 mistake. The system never worked as promised. Be careful. Their ads are slick. They go under multiple names Hobson Air Conditioning Inc and Comfort Experts Inc. Do your homework. In my experience they are much better at marketing than servicing their customers or keeping their promises. In my case the guarantees were worthless. This company agreed to install a specified brand and size of AC system in my home. After three attempts they never installed the agreed unit. I requested that they honor their "bullet proof" guarantees as promised in their advertising and sales pitch. They refused to honor any of their guarantees. Please don't make the mistake I did. We are out mare than $10,000 in this matter so far. Do research. Check with everyone you can. The guarantees are worthless. Please be careful. They are very slick. This is the worst purchase experience of my entire life. more
