Best

Great food and they always deliver very promptly--usually in half the time Grubhub estimates.

Worst

It was my first time having them... There burgers are good, but there wings are not the best! WingStop over them any day!

Ample & tasty wings, GREAT service (why is that so rare in L.A.?) 8/17/2006

There's certainly a huge buzz about this place and you'll probably be quite surprised initially when you pull up to find that it's just a curbside ""shack""-style joint. It's also kind of in the ""hood"" a bit (hey, I live a few blocks from this place so I can say that). Anyways, it is so refreshing to go to a place, especially a cheap take out place in the middle of the city, where you get excellent, excellent service. Don't get me wrong, the wings are also very good (they're big, cheap, and tasty; I like the lemon-pepper best). But I really think the key to their success is that they honestly greet you with warm openness and seek to make you feel satisfied. That just seems like ""How To Run A Successful Business 101,"" but apparently most folks in L.A. never took that class. My hat is off to these guys (and they do seem like young guys from the neighborhood who are running this business), and I am spreading the word to patronize this place because you'll be satisfied with the food and with the service. Pros: good wings-big, cheap, & tasty-and GREAT service (keep it up!) Cons: Venice is a noisy street, so I don't like eating there (but most do take-out anyways) more

What a joke. 8/17/2006

I decided to check this place out after reading all the glowing reviews and how a Harvard grad and some Cordon Blu graduates owned it. The people who made my highly over rated hoagie and wings combo looked more like Pep Boys graduates. My theory is that friends of the owners wrote these reviews because the food was not that tastey and it took a long time to receive even though it was not busy. I think from now on I'll try places that only have bad reviews. I would NEVER eat there again or recommend this to any of my friends. Don't be fooled by all the misleading reviews. Cons: Below average food at best. What a crock. more

Best Cheesesteak in LA 8/15/2006

This place has the best cheesesteak, makes you think that you're actually eating in Philly. There fries have good seasoning. I had the Steak Hoagie with fries and wings. Everything taste great but the sandwich was what makes this place stand out. It located on a corner in a residential area and you might pass it trying to find it but it's well worth the drive. more

yum yum & yum 8/2/2006

I am still drooling over the fries and wings I had yesterday....so much for my diet! I highly highly highly recommend Hoagies & Wings...best food, sandwiches, wings of course and service is impeccable. These guys are truly invested in their place and its very evident in how they treat every customer. Nice work guys! Pros: they deliver and the food's hot! more

Great Wings and Hoagies 7/24/2006

Found this restaurant on this site and thought we'd give it a try. Late Sunday afternoon we called in an order for wings and their Chicken Ranch sandwich for delivery. Person on the phone couldn't have been friendlier. He apologized that it might be an hour before they could deliver, which was fine. Less than 30 minutes later our food was there, and everything was great. Thought the lemon pepper wings were a bit bland, but the hot wings and especially the hoagie was quite tasty. Pros: Fast Delivery, Great Food more

Best Wings!!!!!!!!! 7/8/2006

Wings are one of my favorite foods and I've tried wings all over the country. I can honestly say that H & W has THE best wings! The hoagies are very delicious too, but their wings are AMAZING! And they have a great variety of flavors. Pros: WINGS!! Super friendly staff. Cons: It's not as convenient to eat at the restaurant, but it's great to-go! more

Great Wings, Good Hoagies, Excellent atmosphere 7/5/2006

I live down the street from there and been there since they first opened. The guys are great people. Great customer service. They make it an initiative to remember all people that go there. There Lemon pepper wings are definitely a choice on the Menu to try. Fries are also something to look forward to. Over all this place has a great atmosphere especially if your into sports. Always something exciting there when theres a sporting event. Nothing but good people that work there and customers. If your looking for some tasty wings, great hoagies, relaxing atmosphere and a place to socialize, this is definitely a place to check out. Hands down a definite place to check out. Pros: Lemon Wings, Customer service, Socializing Cons: parking. but still worth it for the food more

Best Hoagies anywhere. 7/4/2006

The thing that makes Hoagies and wings the best is it's originality. They make everything with there own twist. The taste is just amazing! You haven't had hoagies and wings untill you've had Hoagies and Wings. Don't sleep folks! more

You can feel the calories coming on... 5/9/2006

I live down the street from this place. It's a great place to get a quick and cheap bit to eat. The young owners are nice and welcoming. Although, most people go there for the wings, you must also try a hoagie or the fries. more

These guys have a sick sense of humor 3/21/2006

I love hot wings. When I saw this place was rated high, I checked it out. Now, I can eat extremely spicy. I can eat a whole raw jalepeno like it's nothing. We ordered the suicide wings because at most places, suicide wings are just a hint of hot for me. When I ordered them, I made the mistake of joking, ""I can take it"" when they asked me if I was sure. I said yes, but when I saw them smirk and look at each other, I immediately said, ""but don't make them spicier than you normally would."" I think they were messing with us because these wings were not edible. They were like swallowing a raging volcano, making the actual wings tasteless. Yet, the hot wings aren't that hot. Go figure. The lemon pepper wings, on the other hand, are to die for. Pros: lemon pepper wings, good value, fast service Cons: "hot" not hot enough more

Outstanding Food and Service 3/2/2006

They could pretty much be serving dog food at this place and it would be okay because of the unbelievable service. Just go here a few times and they will remember your name and probably what you order too. And it's not like its just one person who works there either. Every single person that I've come in contact with since going to this restaurant regulary has been extremely nice and accommodating. Oh yeah, and then there's the food. BEST WINGS IN LA!!! The sauce at Hoagies and Wings is intoxicating. After going there the first time on a lunch break, I could not work the rest of the afternoon cause of the taste left in my mouth. Everything else is amazing too. I've practically eaten my way around the entire menu and there is not a dud yet in sight. Simply, try this place out. You will be back. Pros: Service, Freshness of Food, Parking more

Best Wings in Los Angeles 1/9/2006

I happened by this place when it had only been open for a week. The two guys who own and operate the place were so enthusiastic that I'd have loved it no matter how the food was. Only then, the wings came. FANTASTIC WINGS, done right. You can get 'em a variety of ways, just flavor or burn your face off HOT! You really cant go wrong. Now I crave this place and regularly drive from the deep westside to this eatery. Try the Hoagies as well. These guys really do a concientious job of doing their thing well. You will enjoy Hoagies and Wings. Also, sign their mailing list and you will get occasional emails letting you know that the latest fight or other pay per view event is being show. A great neighborhood place, another reason to love living in Los Angeles. Pros: Fantastic Food Cons: Music can be too loud more

The Next Pink's!!! 10/6/2005

Basically this place has the best Hot Wings period, end of discussion and I'm from the East Coast. The Lemon Pepper and Honey BBQ are also so so tasty. And the Sandwiches...oh my goodness!!! They are so freakin' delicious. I found this place from Citysearch because they won Best Chicken Wings and Best Sandwich. And the taste of both the Sandwich and the Wings far exceeded my expectations. As for the sandwich, I would go with the Steak, Ultimate Steak & Chicken, or the Buffalo Style. The service is excellent by the way. I say get to know this place asap and its owners now to be part of history. And did I mention they DELIVER too!!! They will be Catering our next office party for sure...Pinks watch out!!! Pros: Inexpensive, Best Food in LA, They Deliver!!! Cons: Only one location more

THE BEST PLACE TO EAT!! 8/7/2005

This place is amazing!!! The hoagies are the best I've ever had and the wings are so good!!! And it's totally cheap! And not to mention the fact, that the service is friendly and really great! You're really missing out if you haven't been here yet! Pros: food, prices, service more

Great Wings 7/30/2005

Mmmmmm ,Iam in love with the barbacue wings Nice and juicy. The prices are very reasonable.Absolutely recommend this place to anyone.. Pros: Wings Cons: Parking more

User review by dantetd 7/29/2005

The ONLY place for real wings and the best fries in LA. I wish they had a better place to hang out but the food and excellent service more than makes up for that. As I speak, my girlfriend is picking up from there. Gotta go! more

Not a Philly Hoagie but still pretty good... 7/12/2005

As a Philadelphia transplant, I was excited to see a new Hoagie place open up down the street. However, when I saw what they were calling a hoagie, I was sadly disappointed. This is no cold cut style sandwich that I was used to. This was a hot meat sandwich. The sandwich was good, but the real treat was the chicken wings. I've tried most of the flavors and they're all very good. Pros: Chicken Wings, Service Cons: not philly hoagie more

The Wings ARE Scrumptious!!! 7/12/2005

Since I'm not a hot wing connoiseur like the others, I can't speak to hotness situation but I can speak to the lemon pepper wings. OHMIGOD! They are so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. There is fantastic after-taste that you'd wish lasted a little bit longer. I also highly recomment the steak hoagie because it seriously melts in your mouth. Every bit is tasty. They don't really have a parking lot but there's plenty of street parking. Even when there is a fight on t.v. and a lot of people are there, there's always plenty of street parking. The prices are great but the other great thing about Hoagies and Wings (other than the food and cost), is that the staff is super friendly. Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive, Good Parking Cons: Outdoors Seating Only more

Good food, Great Service 7/10/2005

Everything is fresh and clean. The service is INCREDIBLE! The wings are a nice healthy size (not like most joints). I had the hot and they were delicious. Probably the best buffalo wings I've had outside of mom's kitchen. I also had the steak sandwich: tender beef, grilled onions, FRESH-CRISP lettuce and tomatoes, soft toasted roll= Juicy and flavorful. Also, cool atmosphere and patrons. I live down the street in Culver City so it will become a regular haunt. Pros: Service, Food, Atmosphere Cons: Limited Parking more

Truly the best of the best 6/24/2005

If you are looking for a cool spot for some great wings, this is the place! more
