Great food and they always deliver very promptly--usually in half the time Grubhub estimates.

It was my first time having them... There burgers are good, but there wings are not the best! WingStop over them any day!

It was good as usual. more

Wonderful fries, nailed the sweet potato. The ranch chicken hoagie was a bit bland and not a lot of chicken for the price. If they are from a region of the country that uses the word "hoagie" properly, then I believe they skipped my extra cheese request. The turkey burger was great but also small for the price. Delivery was early during rush hour, so happy! We'll try them again. more

I ordered the boneless wings..... I never thought you could go wrong with this. They were so dry, I could barely eat them. I also ordered a large fry, and it was the size of a kids meal fry from mcdonalds. I would definitely not recommend this place. What a waste of money. more

Their wings are great. I always ask for extra crispy, and when I receive them they're still warm and crispy. I'm a traditionalist, so I stick to the Buffalo style spicy wings. more

I liked my wings, but my wife didn't - probably something to do with the fact that the order was completely wrong.... She asked for mild and got hot.. more

Hoagies and wings 10/13/2007

When they opened their new location on La Cienega BLVD I was very excited because I love Hot WINGS!. I was even more excited when I found out they Deliver until 12Am. When I called in they guy that answered the phone was sooooooooooooooooooo RUDE! In spite of his rudeness I placed My order. All was well until he told me it would take 4hours for them to deliver to me even though i'm less than 4 blocks away.Even though i know they must have a lot of orders I still felt they should have more people delivering. I felt like 4 hours was just too damn long to wait for food when my family and I were already starving so i canceled my order. You would think he would understand and be polite but instead he hung up in my face! Cons: EVERYTHING more

Used to be great 2005-now a lost cause 2007 10/5/2007

Well I can honestly say that I won't be taking the drive to either of their locations for Wings any time soon nor their new 3rd location. I am sincerely disappointed that their wing quality has deteriorated. Those who recently posted negative comments unfortunately are correct in their assessment. All the glowing reviews in 2005/early 2006 were definitely earned but now so are the negative ones. I hope the owners-Akida, Bryan & Jimmy pay attention. It was a grassroots effort that brought you glowing reviews & contributed to your success. I'd hate for you guys not to make the Best of....list in 2008 but unless you can return to your original recipe for success...quality and service I won't be voting for you this year. Anyone who has eaten here from when they opened can attest to the decline in quality of wing, dry-overcooked, miniature wings and definitely poor service. I would suggest to those who have supported these guys from the beginning to be honest in their assessment so as to encourage these guys to go back to what made them a success to begin with. To those new to this joint..only the flavors are still good. It just used to be so much better. If you don't walk in with any expectations you won't be dissapointed but if you read any of the glowing reviews-YOU WILL-because you are not eating the same food we ate back then. Sorry you are at least 1-1/2 years too late. The reviews dated from Late 2006 to now are very true they are not that good anymore. There is a new wing franchise that is growing faster than a Starbucks & is going to give these guys a run for their money. The flavors are not as good but the quality of the wing is far superior. If you don't pay attention guys you won't go past 5 yrs in business. I'm harsh because I care & MISS your GOOD WINGS. Pros: Sandwiches are still good Cons: Wings are not more

Something's amiss... 8/9/2007

In my opinion, Hoagies & Wings is NOT a Best of Citysearch contender. It's interesting that so many of the glowing reviews of this place are by 'users' who only have the one review. more

The Best Hot Wing of City Search?? Don't Buy It For a Minute. 8/3/2007

I have never made a practice to comment, but I'm so underwhelmed, I actually took the time to sign up just to be heard. I am a HUGE fan of hot wings...HUGE! Just moved here and chose this spot solely based on the ""Best of City Search"" claim to fame, and apparently I know no better. Le Cordon Bleu grad? I have never seen anything quite so misrepresented. Hands down, and not one ounce of lie, these aren't any bigger than just an INCH!! The taste is below bland and beyond blah. I emphatically tell you...Do not waste your time. Trust me. Cons: Worst Deliver Order I've Ever Had more

this place sux! 7/26/2007

this is by far the worst place i have ever eaten at. the service is bad, the staff is rude, and the food is completely overprice. and not to mention how bad it tastes. i do not recommend hoagies and wings to anybody in their right mind. stay away from this place! Cons: everything more

Best food in town!!!! 7/7/2007

I have been a customer of Hoagies and Wings since it opened. They have some of the best food in town. The wings are delicious (especially the honey barbeque) and they have great sandwiches too. If you are having a get together, fight party or any other social gathering I highly recommend getting a variety of wing flavors and some hoagies!!! Pros: Friendly service, great lunch spot, try it once and you'll be hooked... more

Horrible Service/Over Priced Food 7/5/2007

It's not all the hype that it deserves. People have different ideas and tastes for food and me and my friends didn't like the place, serivce or the food. The orders take forever and it seems like they buy cheap chicken. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone more

Wow! Wow! 3/26/2007

the steak hoagies (add the sauteed mushrooms) at this place were unbelievable! the lemon pepper wings were fantastic! I'm a believer and will go back again and again! Pros: steak hoagie, lemon wings Cons: 10-15 minute wait for food more

Love it 11/2/2006

Great place for weekend grease food. Also easy to get to (cruise down Cochran or Venice) and the food stays fresh (not soggy) til you get it home. Check it out. Pros: Food Cons: Ambience more

wings are pretty good 9/18/2006

this place is pretty good. i've tried all the wing flavors, but i haven't tried the hoagies so i can't rate that aspect...but i would give the wings maybe a 7 out of 10. the sauce is kind of thin (looks like they mix some kind of powder into the sauce??) and the quality of chicken that they use is below what i buy at a supermarket like ralph's (yep - ralph's has wings, foster farms). the guys that work here are genuinely nice and even though their orders take longer than you'd like, they have newspapers and tv, so it's cool. Pros: ok wings, never crowded Cons: too much hype more

i love this place 9/14/2006

I tryed this place for the first time a week ago and it was great!!! i love the steak hoagie, and the fries are the best!! It feels realy great to be supporting local l.a. I am forever a costomer, and fav. is the cute guy taking my order!!!(those eyes) Pros: great food, fun, and a place to bring the kids more

Great wings, great service, great price 9/13/2006

My boyfriend and I have searched far and wide in the great city of Los Angeles for the best wings. Some were too tough, some were too dry, some were not hot enough and some just were inedible. I came across this review on citysearch and was a little skeptic. I tried another wing place with a friend of mine that was recommended by other users and it was horrible. But, I decided to give it one more shot, just when we thought there were no good wing places in LA. I ordered a huge order of hot wings and a large order of their garlic fries. I have to admit, this has got to be the best wing place in LA, actually one of the best wing places I've ever been to! The sauce was perfect, just hot enough, with a kick. Some places skimp on the sauce, so I ordered an extra side of sauce and when I opened the box, the wings were perfectly drenched with just the right amount. The fries were incredible and everything was still hot when I brought it home. The service? Phenomenal. Very friendly, hip, young staff and helpful. I highly recommend this place to everyone. The only con? I wish they had plasma tv's and ice cold beer on tap. Pros: Awesome food, phenomenal service and delivery! Cons: None more

Uh...I don't think so 8/26/2006

It's to be expected that not everyone has the same tastes. But to imply that everyone who disagrees with you must be a liar or imposter is going a bit too far. How do we know that an overexaggerated negative review isn't the product of a competitor? Pros: Great selection of tasty wings. Cons: Noisy location. Uncomfortable, outdoor seating. more
