Hercules Moving & Storage Inc

I recently had Hercules Moving Service and was extremely pleased with the care that was received. From the initial email requesting a quote, to the scheduling of the date, to the drivers arrival.....EXTREMELY PLEASED!! The drivers were to arrive between 9A-930A and they did not arrive until 945A, I did call and spoke to Stephanie and she was very attentive to contact the driver's to find the were abouts. Once they arrived, the were on it immediately, they came in, took a quick look around to ""size up the truck"" and immediately began the process. This was my 3rd-4th at least that my family has used Hercules and we have never had a complaint about the quality of their care and service. They did not mess around. Upon arrival into the new home, I had concerns on which room to make the Master Bedroom and the mover gave his recommendations and the reasons why and that helped me make my decision. They were in and out in 2.5 hours with everything in place as how it was at the old home. Very pleased with Hercules and will use them again as needed but hopefully will not need for quite sometime. more

The move seemed to be going well and we were pleased with how efficiently they were loading the two 16 PODS that would be moved to Florida. As they were moving a large desk into the last POD they damaged it and wrote up an acknowledgement on the bill. We called after unloading the item in Florida as instructed and they agreed to pay us $50 for the damage which was acceptable. \r \r That's where the ""good"" stops. When they were loading the PODs there was a stack of smaller plastic boxes that were taped closed and placed in one location that they were told they could use as filler in drawers and shelves. After the PODs were loaded and the movers were gone, I realized they had packed a similar box that had been sitting on the bathroom sink containing day-to-day items we were keeping. I had also placed several pieces of jewelry in the box because we had already shrink wrapped my jewelry box for moving in the car and my fingers were swelling from the lifting. I assumed it was an accident and even told people when I relayed the story, that I felt fully comfortable that when we unloaded, the rings would be there.\r \r My husband found the box in the POD while unloading and the rings were not in it. I tore every box apart looking 2 and 3 times for the rings because I just couldn't believe they were gone and that I had been so wrong and gullible. I spent two weeks trying to get the owner, Ron, to call me before finally putting in writing about the missing jewelry. I just wanted to talk to him before filing the police report that would be needed for insurance. Trying to be open and upfront. He never returned my requests for a call so I told him about the rings via email. Of course he was offended and said there was no proof his men removed the jewelry from the box prior loading - and he's right. They were just the last ones to touch the box and that would have to be noted when I made the police report. \r \r Ron never once called me to discuss our concerns. He said I would have to sign a document to get the $50 but it was a document about a ""compromise of a doubtful and disputed claim"" (which the desk was not because they acknowledged in writing that they had caused the damage) which basically stated that I would ""refrain from making any derogatory reviews of Hercules Moving & Storage, Inc. via any media"". It's not worth $50 for me to not be able to give an honest review of their service. more

I used Hercules Moving and Storage on 1/5/15 and was very disappointed in their service. Not only was a cushion missing, but they expected to be paid prior to retrieving the cushion and returning my left behind property from their storage facility prior to the service being completed. My cushion was being held HOSTAGE for service that was not yet complete. I was charged not only for them loading my property from their own storage unit ( that I had been paying for 1.5 years), but also for time for them to reattached the things that they had unattached while moving my furniture from the previous location.\r They brought two guys this time when the job to move from my previous location by them was three, which caused the time to increase.\r I will NEVER use Hercules to move anything. more

Joe and Daryl (movers for Hercules) are awesome!!!! They moved me from two locations in 3 hours on Sunday, March 30, 2014. Not one time did they goof off or attempt to stretch time. I was very impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, and work ethic. Hercules Moving and Storage really have a gem in these two employees. I will most certainly use this company again and will highly recommend it to others needing a moving company with the proper business ethics and employees. One last comment--Don't forget to ask for Daryl and Joe for your next move. Wonderful movers. more

I wanted to share my gratitude for Dave and Brandon and the awesome job they did moving me on 2/28/14. They were professional, fast, courteous and quite funny to work with. Hercules did an excellent job. They turned a highly emotional event into a great outcome. They were on time and moved in the time they projected. We moved into a condo which made it more complicated, but not for Hercules. Great job. Thanks. more

We moved our furniture out of a two story house last weekend and the Hercules crew (Joe and Nick) were really hard-working. Within four hours they'd loaded the truck and delivered the contents to two nearby locations. They were polite, careful, and inexpensive--everything we could have asked. more

I just utilized Hercules for a local residential move yesterday, and they did an excellent job! Everything, from coordinating with the administrative assistant, to the actual move itself, was a positive experience. The movers were very friendly, efficient, and did a great job. Additionally, Hercules provided extremely reasonable pricing, and was readily available for a Sunday move, (which I had trouble finding with other moving companies). I highly recommend! more

The owner of Hercules personally came to quote our large, complicated move. We left a 4 bedroom home of 25 years and were downsizing/storing/waiting for a townhouse to become available. I was so impressed by how professionally Ron assessed our situation and how calmly he reassured us that they would handle our move. We have antiques, collections & items of value that were treated with care and respect. We also had a time crunch, so we asked for a quote that would include total packing. To my surprise, the packing estimate was extremely reasonable and Ron personally packed our most fragile things. When the actual move occurred, it was completely smooth and easy....but happened the week before Christmas. (yikes!) So, when we arrived at our new home, I decided to keep one of Hercules' workers to help me unpack and remove the boxes and packing materials. A friend referred me to Hercules Moving & Storage and they moved us last weekend. We were very pleased with the experience. The moving men they sent were not only polite but amazingly strong. They worked quickly without breaking anything. In the end, the cost was lower than quoted. 5 years ago we'd used 2 men and a truck and had a pretty horrible experience, so we'd been expecting the worst. I would recommend Hercules Moving. more

I wish I could give this company a negative rating! Stay away from them.\r \r I hired them to move me on November 29, 2011. I had lots of totes packed with my possessions & they were all clearly labeled as to contents & which floor or room they were to go. The movers completely ignored the labels & it has taken me over a month to unpack the boxes & carry things upstairs that were left downstairs & upstairs to downstairs. Lots of breakage & lids to many totes were cracked.\r \r In addition, a drawer to a chest was damaged & I have been waiting for about a month to have that fixed. (Needless to say, no one called to give me an update.) They reassembled a bookcase (wall to wall & floor to ceiling) incorrectly & it now sways from side to side. I am going to have to get rid of it because it would be fatal to my dogs or me if it should fall over. Also, when I unrolled a carpet that had been in front of another bookcase, I discovered a large crack at the base.\r \r Finally, I discovere more

The movers refused to move my hanging clothing and glass in my apartment and did not make me aware until they already moved the truck. I understand my materials weren't packaged correctly. However, the issue could've been avoided very easily: [1] the movers could've called my cell phone to inform me of this the day of and [2] the company could have provided me detailed guidelines beforehand. more

We used this service for moving from Ohio to Boston as well as storage and a short local move. The company has true moving professionals. more

I decided to use Hercules Moving after doing some research on the Internet. They looked more professional than other moving companies that I had investigated: They had references and they were an accredited business on the Better Business Bureau Cincinnati. Hercules Moving had 3 men moving us for the price that a lot of other companies were charging for a 2-man crew. They arrived on time, moved us quickly, and were quite reasonable in terms of cost. The movers were very nice and respectful of our house and furniture, putting down pads and coverings to protect everything. We moved from a storage unit to a condominium, so they had to go up and down 3 flights of stairs. They asked where things should go and moved them all over the house for us. Initially, I was nervous about the rain prediction for the day of our move, but I emailed back and forth with the woman in the office at Hercules Moving and she reassured me that it would be fine. Everything went smoothly and I have already recommended Hercules to other people. more

Hercules Moving is fabulous. I have hired them privately 2 times in the last 3 months and they also delivered furniture that I bought from a furniture company that happened to be using them as well. Based on my experiences with them, I was so glad that the furniture company had also chosen Hercules Moving. They are on time, personable, very careful in handling furniture, and they follow instructions to the letter. They do what they say they will and arrive when they say they will, to the minute, if you call ahead of time and make any specific requests. I would highly recommend Hercules Moving to anybody based on their timeliness, efficiency, and care. Their service is better than you would ever dream because they make it extremely easy. M.
