Im just getting time to do this but I want to say THANK YOU HAIRSTONS!!!! I had my ladys surprise party there last saturday and it was the BEST!!I want to thank Jennifer who I met anxiously a month before the party who gave me the best customer service and attention on booking the party she was so damn cool !! and knew her club! I bugged her every week because I had to make this perfect and she was patient and kind every time I called her,reassuring me everything was going to be great and it was!!! My lady had the best party ever! The platinum party deal was great the price was right and the area was set up exactly how Jennifer promised.The food was delicious!!From the time we walked in the door the hostess was pleasant and knew just were to sit us the server was on time she had our drinks and food coming out to us without long waits.We danced just about all night it was tight. Yall did yall thing for me and my lady and I want to say it was a class act! I have and will keep recommending Hairstons for the mature and classy !! Although I've been coming to Hairston's Dinner Club in Stone Mountain since 2005, every experience is more spectacular than the previous one. I decided to write about my last experience, because it is the reason I continue to go to Hairston's for very special occasions. Last year in July what began as three couples coming to Hairston's to celebrate our July birhdays turned into a Party of 15 complete with the absolute best food - especially the blackened salmon and potatoes - Mmmm...loved it! Todd had our table ready - complete with balloons - a perfect touch to a birthday celebration - with more than half our party celebrating our birthdays. We loved it so much, we plan to celebrate again in July with many more people in our party!!. more

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! I want to first say the person who said you guys looked like a warehouse must have forgot to wear her glasses!! Ya'lI looked great! I came on Friday and on Sunday and yall were set!! On Friday the valentine decor was beautiful the mood was soooo great the rose petals and candles on the tables really was romantic.Then on Sunday I came back to check out your Red Alert Sundays and YALL ROCKED THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm from up state New York and I was HOME at Hairstons last night!!! The place was jumping on both nights great food great music and the place looks great .The Vanilla Room is gorgeous so chic'. I'm a professional woman and me and all 8 of my guest loved the club.We have been to all the spots around town, Encore, Pearls and Ambiance and yall hold the torch for class and just a great time!! You have manner able staff nothing like the places I've named(city search wont let me write the word its starts with a G and ends with a O)(hint- street folk) your bartenders are FINE! and they know how to make tasty drinks with a smile! The female manager Jennifer was awesome she was so professional and knew her club Im doing my party there in May and I already know its going to Awesome! Went there on a Sunday night and the DJ who is from 102.5 is the bomb. The music was great and the $3.00 martinis were good. NIce mature crowd for a Sunday night. more

I don't usually take time to write reviews, but after my experience last night, I must! Do not waste your time going to this place! The pictures on the internet looks nothing like the actual inside and the service was even worse! It looks like an old warehouse on the inside! I called to make reservations for my our "girls night" get-to-gether. It included myself and 4 sisters; when we got there, they didn't have our reservation. We were told to wait and the manager "find" will find us a table. He stuck us at a table in a back corner where we couldn't even see the dance floor! After being seated it took 45 min to get a drink. My sisters and I placed our dinner orders at the same time! Almost an hour after placing the order, the waitress brought the orders for 2 members of our party, and my side order of rice! 20 min later she brings what is supposed to be the rest of my order, but it was totally not what I ordered along with part of the dinner for my sister! She's still missing 1 of the dinner orders! Needless to say, byt this time, we had had enough, so we asked to speak with Todd (manager) - all he did was apologige, but we were over it at this point! We paid for our drinks and left. Like I said, we were looking forward to getting out having a nice relaxed evening after a long week at work, but was extremely disappointed! Again If you truely want an "upsacle club" DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME going to this place! Pros: The service staff was courteous Cons: They were extremely unorganized and slow! more

I recently had my 50th b-day celebration at Hairston's. I had never been there before and wasn't quite sure what to expect. From the get go, the waitress assigned to me assured me I would have a great time and she would take care of me and my party guests. Now, that's what I like to hear. She did exactly that. Her name is Patrice or Patrica. She's was friendly, smiling and professional throughout the entire evening. Kudos to you, Patrice or Patricia! Now, on to my party. I HAD A BLAST. I'm a very youthful and energetic 50 year old. The music was on the money. The drinks were potent. The management at Hairston's, I thought, were professional and friendly. Would I go back...YOU BETCHA! I forgot to thank Jennifer. Her personality came across over the phone. She returned all phones calls. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet her. PARTY, PARTY, PARTY, PARTY!!!! All I can say is-I had one of the best times/fun with friends & other party goers this Saturday at Hairstons. I celebrated my 44th Birthday there. We had an awesome time with a mature, adult & classy atmosphere of people. Not to mention the awesome staff (Jennifer, Todd & Marcella). They helped to make this event a precious part of my memories that I will have to cherish. Thank you guys!! :-) As always, if you are looking for an atmosphere of adults, maturity, fun, excitement & enjoyment. Then please allow Hairstons Diner club to make it happen for you. Whether you want to take a few steps back-1980 or stay in 2008. The music will provide you with what you want to hear to make your night a night to remember. I had my 50th birthday party at Hairstons last night and I had a FABULOUS time!! I booked my party with Steve and he immediately directed me to the event planner Jennifer and she was fantastic , very sweet and my area she put me was great!! Montell Jordan was there and the crowd was pumped up.The club looks awesome the renovations brings alot of posh to the club and it is still a classic mature club.The head server Michelle was our waitress and she was super! she was busy but she took great care of us and invited us back out and I told her for sure!!The food was great we had the party platters and it was affordable and took care all 30 of my guests. I danced my shoes right off my feet I had such a good time. Jennifer came over at the end of the night to thank me for having my party with Hairstons and I told her nooo THANK YOU!!! Hairstons I am SORRY!! I made the mistake of listening to a fired manager of yours. He convinced me to have my 40th birthday party at the club Ambience and I should have known better! I canceled my party with Hairstons and strutted me and my 30 guest down to Ambience last Saturday and boy oh boy was I sorry for my choice.The building is beautiful that much I can say but that is it!!!! Not only did they lie about the "free" admission for ladies all night but now I see why Cecil is no longer with you guys, He wanted us to tip him to get our seats and his want to be event planner girlfriend acted like she forgot what she promised me for my party plans!!!! At 10pm after seeing just what clubs on memorial drive bring in (riff raff) me and my guest high tailed it out of there !!! I called Jennifer and Todd at Hairstons and told them of my major mistake and they were both SUPER gracious!!Jennifer told me the club was packed but we were more then welcome to come down and we would be seated asap.We got there and it was packed and full of energy and we were sat within 20 minutes in their beautiful sophisticated vanilla room!! We stayed until they turned on the lights and we had a blast!!!!!!! Thank You Patrice our server who was on the ball ,to Todd and Jennifer who welcomed us and took great care of us !!! The new menu and the new look is the bomb!!! You guys still have what it takes to make your guests feel great!!!!! I had my daughters 30th party this weekend and it was great! At first I thought she may have thought it wasnt gonna be a success because of her age but I was so wrong the mixture of the younger(30 and over) with the more mature was great!! we danced all night long!! I made the initial reservation with Jennifer the event planner and she was on time!! she was so pleasant she made sure I knew the rules , the dress code, the time to be there and I ordered the party platters and they were delicious! The manager Cecil was great!! he made sure all the ladies in my section were taken care of and our service was on point she knew the specials and knew what to recommend and we had a blast!!! What I loved about our time at Hairstons was the personal care I received from the time I made the call to the very end when we was leaving the other manager Steve thanked us for coming , gave us passes to come back and made sure security escorted us to our vehicles thats class!! the one thing all these new clubs lack!! I reserved my mother's 50th birthday party there last week .I called and spoke with the event planner Jennifer and she was great!!!! She was able to accommodate me with all the information I needed from what I needed to do to hold the space which was not a fee as long as my guest ate down to the decorations which the staff did a great job. She was very professional as well as very informative and followed up tp confirm with me as she promised from the first time I called. The club has gone through some renovations and it looks great!!! The new Vailla room is the bomb! It felt like a posh lounge environment and when you step out of the room it was on !!!with the crowd the music and the great new menu!!! My mother is a retired IRS executive and I'm a RN and every year my mother has an event there and her and her guests loved it!!! They were able to have a good time in a environment that had a mature respectful crowd!!!The birthdayshow was a blast this is the only clubin Atlanta that does it and has been for years and the crowd loves it !!! I want to thank Jennifer, Todd, and Maria who was the best server for making sure my mom had the best time for her birthday!! Keep doing what you have been doing for the last 16years. The only place worse than Hairston's is hell. It's been around for a very long time and it looks the same today as it did when it opened 15 years ago. The owners of the club haven't invested one dime to update the look of that dump! They certainly make it easy for places like Encore to become a HOT SPOT over night!!. Hairston's is not the kind of club where you will find patrons of discriminating taste. It's a raggedy hole in the wall...LITERALLY! When I am forced to go to Hairston's with my friends, I don't use their restroom and I don't order anything from the bar or kitchen because the place is so filthy!! If you ever sit at the bar, take a look at the floor behind the bar and you will see why I say the place is disgusting. I highly doubt the floor behind the bar has ever been mopped judging by all the jet black dirt along the baseboards and in the corners. Now imagine what the kitchen must look like! I am dying for the day when I trip and fall over one of those raggedy loose tiles that I have stumbled over several times. You would think that at a minimum, the owners would want to limit their exposure to liability by making sure floor tiles are securely in place so customers won't fall and break bones! The last time I was there was about a month ago and the crowd was very light because Encore in Duluth has taken much of Hairston's Friday night crowd...I AM SO HAPPY! Maybe competition like Encore will force them to remodel that dilapidated a** club! If they improve the aesthetics, then maybe they will draw a more cosmopolitan crowd as oppose to the retired pimps and washed up prostitutes who currently patronize the club. One positive thing I can say about the joint is you are guaranteed to get a laugh! The people and their lack of style and class is comical to watch. If you want to socialize with a trendy, upscale, cosmopolitan, upper echelon crowd, then don't go to Hairston's. Club Wal Mart is cleaner and has a classier crowd than Hairstons. Don't have an event here! We called almost 6 weeks b4 the event and spoke with Jennifer (coordinator) don't trust your event to her. She was "nice" in the beginning, assured me that having our event their was not a problem. From day one I told her of our plan to begin the baby shower at 3:00pm To make a long story short, I reserved the time with her on that day, giving her the number of guests expected (30 people) & choosing the menu. She quoted me the price for the food, I asked if their was a reservation fee & she said no. Invitations were sent . I had questions about setting up & tried calling her several times. She never returned my calls. Two weeks before event I finally reached her, at this time she mentioned that she was having a meeting with her manager that night, & I should call back to verify time was okay on date requested. I was very upset to hear this since a confirmation already been made, again she assured me that there was not a problem. They already had an event scheduled on that day, she just wanted to let him know that we would also be there. I tried calling her back 4 a week to ask if we could arrive a little early to setup , no response! I left messages with person answering phone. week of event I desperately called 4 times again to simply touch base with her, I was leaving messages praying that this was just a bad misunderstanding and that she must have been really busy and not just unprofessional. Wrong on my part, the night before the event she FINALLY called pretending that she didn't know who I was. WTH? once that didn't work she tried to call manager at last minute & couldn't make it happen. she did the unthinkable, she slammed the phone down in my ear! I called back and spoke with her manager steve, he too told me that my event wasn't happening the next day (in a nicer way) I appreciated his trying to be nice but the damage had been done. and his coordinator Jennifer,LOSER! rude and terribly unprofessional. Hairston's is a great place for people over 35 to eat, relax, mingle and get their groove on. No need to be enbaressed if you don't know the latest dances because no one cares. They play old skool to current R&B and HipHop. This is a great place for parties, I have attended Birthday and Christmas parties there and I enjoyed the food and the fact that I'm not stared at like a piece of meat all night long. Women can even go alone and be comfortable. There are a variety of DJ so you may want to call ahead to find out what style of music the DJ speclializes in. Parking is really bad if you get there late, sometimes you have to park across the street in the strip-mall parking lot. They offer valet parking so that is another option. They do have cater to age ranges from 30 - 85, yes I have seen some older couples come in and shake their groove thang. This establishment is a long time footprint of the mature grown club seekers. It has a delightful atmosphere. The music spands for old school hip hop to new school top fourty. The mature theme is in the house. The food and drinks are amongst Atlanta 's best. I have had birthday parties there for the last three years and they keep getting better. My out of town friends love it. Both male and female alike. This club is a great mingling spot for after work as well as having an overall shake your tail-feature good time. The first night it opened...I was in the house; been going back ever since. Great spot on Fridays early for the old school set and better spot late Fridays for the hip hoppers; haven't attended any other night. Dress code has been relaxed somewhat since a change in ownership; I don't particularly care for jeans in an evening setting. Music is always great...just wish there were more ladies that knows some of the old school dances (jitterbug, hand dancing, swing dancing, etc...dying art you know). Preparation and presentation of the food is amoung the best I've had in Atlanta. The bartenders and wait staff is courteous and professional. I have recommended the club to several out of town visitors and have gotten rave reviews from all of them. Would definitely recommend the place I call the "spot". I have been going to Hairston's off and on for 12 years. The food is always delicious and the music is great. This is the perfect place for a party, get together with friends or a romantic evening. Whatever you are looking for - Hairston's has it all!!!! more
