H Design Salon LLC

I tried this place out with a Crowd Cut coupon for a mani/pedi. The person who did my mani/pedi was nice enough, and enthusiastic, but clearly not a nail technician. I checked her card as I was checking out, and sure enough, a hair stylist only. It took forever because she didn't really know what she was doing, and my fingers clearly show that as well. I could have done a better job at home. My toes look ok, I did get a good deal, and it was clear that they do have nail technicians working there who I'm sure do a great job. But I guess because I had a coupon I didn't get an appointment with someone who has experience actually doing nails. I also agree with the other reviewer about the lack of professionalism. Although everyone seems friendly, they were hostile and insulting about a customer behind her back in front of several other customers. I'm sure there are some terrible customers that come in, but talk about it away from other paying customers! If you have a coupon, consider yourself warned. more

Calvin Carlson is absolutely incredible. By far the best hair stylist I have ever been to. I have worked in multiple salons over the years and he beats all! Extremely detailed and thorough with his cuts and he takes the time to build a goal with you so it'll last! more

I was pleased with the hair cut and blow out I received after purchasing a package on a local couponing site, so much so that I wanted to schedule a follow-up appointment with the same stylist. After one failed attempt to reach a customer service rep DURING business hours I decided to give it another shot the next day. I have been on hold for the past 16 minutes and still have not been connected with anyone. Overall very disappointed with the level of customer service provided both on- and off-site. more

I was very pleased w/ my layered hair cut & Brazilian blow out. The gal (pretty bi-racial) that cut my hair did an amazing job. more

Jenni Mastermann is great for curly hair. The atmosphere is very friendly, and they don't try to hard-sell you on product. more

I recently came to town on work related matters. I come to minneapolis about 2 weekends out of the month. I heard of H Design Salon from a friend who had just gotten there color done there. I didnt make a appoitment i just walked in But i needed major help i needed a color a cut and and brow wax. I was super worried that they would be able to fit me in. They were so sweet and inviting and got me in right away. Not only was the salon amazing,clean and open it had that calming aura about it. Not only were the girls at the front desk so helpfull and plesant Brandon the stylist was Amazing,sweet and very suggestive but at the same time listened to everything i had to say. One major thing for me was i got to stay with same stylist for all 3 of my services. Made it easier to relax. All in all i had Wonderful experince and will go back any time im in town. I recently had a massage from Tammy Boots at her new home: H Design Salon and couldn't be happier about her new salon. I have been a client of Tammy's for 6+ years and couldn't be happier about the new location and salon. Both are a HUGE improvement for the client and Boots! The salon is modern and amazing lighting, great use of space and a very friendly/cute staff! I look forward to coming back to H Design time and time again! Pros: Amazingly gifted masseuse! more
