Went there for my birthday, had about 6 girls, 2 guys and the guy at the door wanted me to pay $4000 for 2 bottles. RIDICULOUS. Next time I'll just buy my own organic wine and celebrate at home with friends. Don't waste your money. The place is green because of how much they charge! I went to this club with my friends last weekend, and it's the BEST club in New York! The music is extremely good. I didn't stop dancing all night. The inside is beautiful and really unique. Packed with good looking people...AND! it's good for our environment! they use special lights I hear that don't waste so much energy.. and do other things to save energy. that's great! and the staff was so friendly and fun. Great Recommendation 4/21/2009

One of my girlfriends was bragging about this club in the city. I'm very skeptical when it comes to clubs but she knows how I am so I figured I give the place a chance. We went and the line was filled with so many hotties. I was like WOW!!! We finally get inside and we had a table in a great section. One of my best night's ever. I took my super hot girl, and now she thinks I'm the king of NYC. We went with her brother two girlfriends visiting from Denmark. Rocking birthday party 4/20/2009

Went for my friends birthday party last weekend and had a blast... I was skeptical being that it was saturday night. I usually can't stand to go out on the weekends anymore. We hung out downstairs in this crazy leaf filled room. Sounds weird but it looks really cool. The crowd was a cool mix of downtown cool kids and sophisticated Euro's. They had house music playing upstairs but we liked the vibe in the basement so much we never even made it to the main floor. I'll have to check out the house music room next time I go back. I have been to this place countless times since it opened and every night my friends and I have had a blast! The music is great, the energy and vibe of the place is always right on and the crowd is HOT! The staff is pretty friendly, too. I love this place and don't understand how so many bad reviews have been written! My friends and I have NEVER had a problem. It's the place to be any night of the week. Sick club - the haters out there are morons! 4/20/2009

I have seen and partied at every top club in NYC and can say without a doubt Greenhouse is easily one of the coolest and most chill clubs in the city. I usually do not write in these types of forums but after reading some of the ridiculous negative comments I felt compelled to do so. Not every club is perfect but if you are looking to hang with friends in a very cool and unique environment then I would highly recommend checking this place out and avoid reading the retarded comments below. A group fo us went here 2 weeks ago and felt no pressure to buy bottles and found the door staff to be incredibly professional and polite! Pros: Incredible ambiance - very cool place Cons: NONE more

Best Club Hands Down 4/20/2009

Love the place. Hot people. Great two floors of great music. Its amazing. I love the uniforms of the staff. and I love the drinks. Attempted to go on saturday night. 6 girls , 3 guys all attractive people and dressed well. The minute we got in line it was trouble the people in front of us stormed off saying dont even waste your time. Shortly there after the bouncer told us the ONLY way we could get in is we bought three bottles. Now i am a drinker but 3 people per bottle is a lot of drinking to do. We did not even bother got off the line n went else where. So if you plan on visiting Greenhouse be prepared to buy 1 bottle per every 3 people Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

Best Club In NY! 3/17/2009

A few friends and I decided to swing by Greenhouse last Saturday on the recommendation of a co-worker and I couldnt have been happier with the results. The place was perfectly packed with the right people and the music was incredible. We ended up staying until around 4 am. Greenhouse is definitely my new favorite club. i question any of the 5 star reviews below....this place is truly trashy, and a short-time "club" in this city for sure. learn how to treat your patrons...you guys have a lot of work ahead of you....actually please just close down for Christ's sake. Although not many other clubs on the block, its New York City, grab a cab and go somewhere else. The 5 bucks you spend on a cab is well worth your sanity.     This New York City Event Space is New York City's first L.E.E.D. registered Eco-friendly Event Space. This 2 floor, 6,000 square foot event space is built from recycled or recyclable materials; and has an environmentally conscious construction & design.     Among Greenhouse's most spectacular attributes is the transparent ceiling fixture, comprised of over 5,000 individually hung crystals, which is designed to emulate a rolling landscape & the bars which are comprised of clear recycled glass panorama designs.

  • Jon B. (of Guesthouse and Home) puts a politically correct twist on the New York nightlife scene at this 6,000-square-foot bi-level club, located near the base of the Holland Tunnel. Five-thousand crystals dangle from the ceiling, while lush natural scenes peek out from the recycled glass bars. Bamboo floors and leafy wall coverings complete the heady look, giving Greenhouse an almost trippy "Alice in Wonderland" vibe. Upstairs, house music blares as club-goers pour bottles from the comfort of reserved tables. The downstairs bar area boasts a more traditional lounge. Both have VIP sections.

    Hits: The downstairs lounge is where it's at. Low ceilings, perimeter seating and a great soundtrack of mostly old-school hip-hop provide a more intimate, relaxed atmosphere than the clubby scene that dominates the upstairs.

    Misses: Although it seems that everyone in Hollywood has gone green, don't expect to mingle with celebs here unless there's a private party. It's generally the same crowd that hangs in the MePa District.
