The people at Great Green Cleaning are Angels - I am in the middle of renovating a home I'm living in - and you can only imaging the dust and the mess and the stress- I called Great Green at the last minute to see if they could do an emergency cleaning to get some of the dust out - and they arranged to have 4 people with a young man supervising the next day. It was a life saver- they brought everything with them and left the place immaculate. I am very happy about the quality of the work they did-- but they also handled a situation that was stressful and emotionally explosive ( the contractor was still working ) delicately with professionalism. They will continue to clean for me until my renovation is complete. Thank You Great Green! We finished the incredible messy renovation - so I wanted to update my review and add- I have been using them on a regular basis and it is such a relief to know that they always have a someone wonderful available for me every time I call. I am very fussy about my home and my ""stuff"" - and I have been through many many cleaning girls, and several services. I like Great Green, they are not cheap but they get right down to business and the person they sent did a good job - at first I thought she was too slow and was going to take too much time - but when she finished I noticed that she really got all the spots my last cleaning lady missed- so all in all - it was worth the price tag - very thorough, took direction well - And put my things back where she found them A+ more

Great Green Cleaning wins the prize-- I have 2 kids and 2 cats and my apartment takes a beating. I've tried every cleaning service in the city with chronic frustration, no shows, lateness, a broken mirror and some don't speak English - that doesn't work for me. . Great Green is about the same price as my last service BUT they do the job right AND they do my laundry! I really like these guys- I used them 4 times and then I gave them a key. Not only does Michele come on time- but she looks like she LIKES to clean ( great because I don't ) I also like that I can call them at night if I can't find where she put something - and they actually answered the phone at 10pm-- I was amazed! They definitely know something about good customer service - I believe I found a winner after MANY bad experiences with other companies. more

I had a terrific first experience with Great Green cleaning - in fact I am signing up for weekly housekeeping service. They are very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I have a 4 year old daughter with allergies and the supplies they clean with are unscented and hypoallergenic- important to us, plus they bring everything so I don't have to prepare. I used other services and these folks are far superior. The woman who came to clean, Susan, was very sweet and worked steadily. I felt comfortable enough to take my daughter out while she cleaned. I came back to a very clean home and liked that she walked me through the place to make sure I was satisfied. A job well done - I will recommend these folks to my friends and family. It's nice to have a cleaning service that not only shows up on time ( last company was always late ) and brings the supplies, but communicates clearly and does what they say they are going to do. Try them you won't regret it. more

THEY USED TO BE MIRACLE MAIDS (STILL ARE TECHNICALLY). Miraclemaidscleaning dot com CHECK OUT BOTH SITES AND COMPARE FOR YOURSELF I'm very suspicious of a lot of the positive reviews on here because they seem to be written with language that hits all the major points a company would want to advertise....and most of the reviews have mention of (and the exact spelling of uncommon) maids' names. My experience: Set up and appointment. Maid was a no-show and no one even called me to warn me that she was ""sick"". When I called, they scrambled to say they'd send one same day but that fell through. The next day, one just showed up at 8:45 AM, no warning. She was not very kind, no introduction past ""i'm here to clean your apartment"" AND she was on her cell phone for about 30 minutes of the 4 1/2 hours!! No comps from the company. Seems they could care less once your card is charged. more

It must be a bad week, or month. I had the exact same experience as the reviewer below. I wasn't as persistent but, after a call and two emails, I moved on! Got a great service booked on the first call to a local competitor. more

I was in need of a one-time cleaning with the potential for monthly service. Great Green came recommended by a girlfriend who had used them a few months back. She said they had a referral program so I was happy she'd get a free hour for future use. I called them around 5PM one day and was told their ""rep"" was busy but to expect a call back in 15-20 minutes. I asked if I could just book 5 hours (exactly what my friend booked and her place is one room larger!) and was told, ""no - you need to be run through a quote"". An hour passed, no call, I called back and turns out the rep was no longer there. Fine - these things happen. I was told I'd be called between 9-10 AM the next day. 12 Noon the next day, no call. I called and now all their reps were busy - I asked for the manager and was told they were busy too. Finally, I sent emails expressing my frustration and asking if I could just book. Did they not want my business? Are they doing that well? Guess what......four days have passed and no email reply! more

I purchased a voucher for 4 hours of green cleaning through Living Social at a discounted rate. I called to schedule my appointment and was promptly transferred to a telemarketer type guy who seemed like he was working on commission. He tried to pressure me into buying more time. I explained to him that my apartment was tiny (under 500 Square feet) and that all I wanted was a gentle wipe down of the inside and outside surfaces. There was no heavy cleaning involved as all the appliances were new and I haven't even eaten in the apartment. When he saw I would not add any more time he proceeded to make a list of every little thing I wanted done. For example I couldn't just say bathroom vanity, I had to say outside vanity doors, inside vanity cabinet, counter on top of vanity around sink, inside sink - all this for a tiny vanity with a sink in it. He said he was making the list so that we both knew exactly what was going to be done. After we made the list he said he couldn't agree to having the work done in 4 hours because according to his estimate I needed more time. When I told him to let the cleaning person come and if she couldn't finish my apartment in 4 hours she could leave without finishing it (knowing full well that there was no way the cleaner wouldn't finish in 4 hours, I've had the place cleaned before in 2 and 1/2 hours) the guy said it seemed like the service wasn't for me and that I should call Living Social to get a refund. \r \r I see that many people gave this company an ok review, which means perhaps they do a decent job cleaning. The question is how much have they overpaid for that service? There are many good cleaning services out there for a fair price. Perhaps they are just conning the Living Soical clients because we paid $85 for 4 hours as a speical deal and this company only offered the special with the intention of manipulating every person who takes up this deal to buy more time. I don't know what happened but I felt completely scammed. \r \r If you do call this company, especially if you are using the Living Social deal, do not let them manipulate you into paying more money for more time if you know you don't need it. If they start pressuring you, just get a refund from Living Social. more

On Tuesday night I came home to find the painters had finished in a bedroom on our 2nd floor and a stairwell on the 1st...but, I had completely forgotten that there would be dust all over from sanding, and I had a housefull of guests coming on Saturday. Panicked, I combed the web and sent a desperate email to the Great Green Cleaning and Maid Service, but at 9:15 at night, I didn't hold out much hope. A shot in the web-dark couldn't do much good, could it?\r Within 15 minutes I received a call from Zac....he walked me through (and calmed me down in the process) an assessment of our needs for getting the place cleaned and polished by Saturday. ""When would you like them to be there?"" sounded so heavenly to me! Wow!\r On Thursday morning promptly at 8 am, Caroline and Michele arrived with their Great Green cleansers and set to work immediately and pleasantly. I cannot believe what these two did in 4 hours-----dusting from the crown molding to the floor, wiping down walls, doors, staircases, woodwork; dusting off of 35 floor-to-ceiling bookshelves; detail work in polishing the wood around the house; a complete cleaning of the kitchen from floor to ceiling, vacuuming furniture, rugs and floors, cleaning of the bathroom and tile surfaces, dusting/polishing all the frames and vases etc around the house.....the list goes on. And, to top it off, they took it upon themselves to clean the drops and splatters that (annoyingly) happened in the painted areas, much to my delight. \r Great Green is truly great. They did everything promised plus more....and I felt the price was a true bargain. Thank you so much, Zac and Great Green, for coming through in a pinch!\r more

Got coupon, called and ordered service, Pleasant, informed call service. Got date two days before Thanksgiving.\r \r Although that is a VERY hectic time of year, Maria arrived on time and prepared. She was pleasant, respectful and focused. She resisted my offers of help. I have a great deal of crystal and she was careful. I have a cat, and she was mindfull of its movements. She took dfirection well. She cleaned hard and thoroughly. SHe explained ""green"" alternatives to me along the way - why use vinegar here, why use baking soda there. \r \r This serviice was excellent for a special occassion - and priced very well when using the coupon. I would use them again - particularly if I could get Maria again. more

We found out about them through a coupon on livingsocial. We scheduled our first cleaning without a hitch and we were satisfied with the cleanng. They followed up with us after the clean, and were very professional. They asked if we could set up a time to discuss a recurring appointment, which I was interested in, and they promised to call me on Friday. That is where the professionalism ended. Friday came and went, with no call. Two weeks passed. I figured I would give them another chance, so I called them again, and asked to make an appointment for the following day because I was having some guests. I was told that I would get a call back in 1 hour. No call ever came. Two weeks later I decided I would give them one more chance. I called up and spoke with Andrew, who once again was friendly as can be, apologized for the missing calls, and assured us that someone would call back at 10AM the next morning to schedule something. We reiterated to please make sure that it happened, and he said he would. You guessed it, no one called the next morning (today). At 11:30 I called up and asked to speak with someone. I was told that they were all busy, but that they could call me back within one hour. I expressed my frustration as I had been told that 3 prior times and no one ever called. She assured me that she would hand deliver the message, but that there was no one available to talk to me. Not surprisingly, 1 hour later, there was no call. However someone called 2 hours later, and we inquired about getting a possible discount, considering the treatment. They told us that was not possible... It's sad, because if they stepped up, admitted fault, and offered us something small in return for these repeated errors, we would have used them reassuringly. We offered to make amends. So use at your own risk. We are looking for someone new now, who has time to take our calls. more

Acceptable, though.... I guess. We used their service four times, and two of the four were good, while the other two not so much. I guess it all depends on who you get. Still, better than having to do it on your own. more

Just had a fabulous cleaning done from Great Green! I have dealt with several maid services in the past and have always been slighly disappointed with the results, but I must say I could not have done a better job if I tried myself. That is, if I would get my lazy butt up and actually clean myself.\r \r My cleaning girls kindly introduced themselves to me when they arrived with a smile on their face and I instantly felt at ease to have 2 strangers in my apt (so much so that I actually left my apt for a bit to run some errands). \r \r The ladies were very thorough with their cleaning and were even playing with my cat :) (Yes, I have a cat, but I swear I'm not a crazy cat lady)\r \r I must also give kudos to their customer service team. They were very sweet to me when I called to make my appointment and took the time to explain what my cleaning would cover. They even called me after my cleaning to make sure everything was up to my standards.\r \r Overall, a wonderful experience!\r \r more

had a move-in cleaning done. Ginou showed up on time and really cleaned the kitchen and scrubbed the bathroom. last guy who lived there did not clean at all before he left. I was so happy to see that what I thought was a yellow refrigerator was actually a white one! great job and professional. can't wait for the next cleaning. more

Last week I had an excellent cleaning by Michelle. She was incredibly detailed as well as efficient with her time (she even had time to dust my wood blinds!). Relative to the expense, I felt like I got a lot of value for the 6 hours of cleaning time. I would recommend GGC with out hesitation. more

Very good service. We've been using them for months now, and they never let us down. They take initiative in their work, and are always pleasant to speak to so you never feel awful asking them to help you with something. WOW!! My roomates and I decided to hire a cleaning service to help with pre/post 4th of July party cleanup (the best idea we've had in a long time!!). Both of the maids sent to us were professional, punctual, and incredibly thorough. Zac was great on the phone.
