Good For You Massage & Spa

I have been a client for years now and always recommend this massage spa to friends, co-workers and acquaintances. The new location is so easy to get to and when I arrive early, I can relax in the waiting area and sip a cup of tea and have a hot pack until my appointment time. The staff is always warm and friendly and knowledgeable about the products they have for sale. There are a handful of different therapists and they each have slightly different techniques and modalities, which makes it nice to meet my treatment goals for maintenance. The therapists are all experienced, very professional and discreet. Each of the treatment rooms are different and named fittingly so (Lemongrass, Sage, etc.), but all have heated massage tables, fountains, candles and soothing music. One thing I like about this massage spa is that the therapists use hot stones in their standard massage and there is no extra charge for it! I have never experienced that anywhere else here in Washington or during my travels. They also offer massage cupping, which to me has the affect of a deep tissue massage without any discomfort. For those special occasions with my husband, we will get the couples massage in the same room. I enjoy unwinding via their skincare therapy that is offered as well! I start with a Red Clay Mud Wrap and while I am wrapped up in the warmth of the mud, I have a 30-minute maintenance facial including a deep cleanse with steam, an exfoliation, facial pressure-point massage and finishing mask. Then usually off to an hour massage after that. If you are in need of relaxation or treatment for a problem area, this is the place to go and they bill most major insurances. Enjoy! more

I have been to this spa more than a few times now and I keep going back. The prices are fair, and I think the services performed exceed the price. They add hot rocks and heated beds for no extra charge. Each time I go in I feel "at home" and well taken care of. I even went in when I was pregnant and the massage therapist was very informative and educated. I swear each time I go in I always come out saying, "That was the best massage I ever had!" The spa is so comfortable, you don't feel like you need to do your hair and makeup to go in there, yet it is very clean, well decorated and comfortable. I have also had a european facial there and i loved it! the esthetician exfoliated me with organic coffee grinds and my skin felt so good for about a month. I will definately go in again. I think if you try this place out you will not be disappointed. Clean, professional, well priced, comfortable atmosphere, nice and personal staff, educated therapists, you can't go wrong. I have been a client at this office for 4 years now and can honestly say I have never been disappointed. The owner is very professional and works hard to provide top notch customer service and quality. I have tried several of their massage therapists and although they are all different in style, they are all wonderful!!!! They use hot stones, heat packs, and provide lots of little extras for no additional charge. I have also tried some of their facials and spa services... very nice too! I would recommend a "pamper package" where you can get a massage, facial, and mud wrap. The prices are very reasonable, atmosphere is relaxing and clean, and staff is friendly. You won't be disappointed! more

I visited the Good For You Massage & Day Spa with two objectives in mind - get an unpleasant bikini wax, and then relax with a massage. As a new customer, I got a great deal on an 80 minute massage and felt extremely pampered. Bikini waxes are a necessary evil, but this one was at least fast. The technician was very efficient and managed to do a great job with a minimum amount of discomfort. She used a really good quality wax, which didn't irritate my skin and leave me with red bumps everywhere. Everything felt smooth and soft afterwards, which is a very good thing. The massage I had next was easily one of the best ones I've ever enjoyed. I was putty in the therapist's hands, and she maintained the perfect balance between exerting enough pressure while keeping it comfortable. I have two or three massages a month, so when I say this was the best one, it really means something. I've decided I owe it to myself to visit this spa again as soon as possible. What are the odds on finding such a great spa that also happens to be two minutes down the road from my house? Sometimes fortune really does smile on you. more

I wanted to take the time to write about my wonderful experience at Good For You Massage. I met the owner and Esthetician at the Farmers' Market and they were both very friendly and welcoming. I had a lot of questions about the skincare treatments, all of which were answered with great detail. The next day, I went in for a facial and massage. My facial was great, I was able to choose all of the things I wanted and she built me a custom facial, complete with all of my favorite treatments. I also recieved a fabulous massage, complete with Massage Cupping and an after-session stretching lesson. I left feeling rejuventated and informed, with a water bottle in hand. after a REALLY stressful week at work, i came into Good For You Spa for there 'buy a facial get a free one hour massage' special. I had never been in before and was very pleased with the spa environment. the staff there were both friendly and extremely professional. I had my facial first by Sam. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She took extra special attention to my very sensitive skin type. After, my skin felt amazing! Directly after my facial, I was given a fluffy robe and slippers and led to one of the massage treatment rooms, where the therapist Kat gave me a wonderful relaxing massage. She really helped loosen all the stress and tension knots in my shoulders and arms! Cheers to the staff at Good For you! The facial I received was okay. I think the lady doing the facial might have been having a bad day, because whenever I asked her questions she cut me off and barely answered my questions. I think the spa could have a more tranqil setting by removing some of the clutter in the foyer. more

I found this place tucked away in a quaint little space in the heard of Federal Way. It is adorable inside and the staff and owner is very friendly and customer service oriented. I had a massage & facial, both were excellent. My skin looked great and Sam, the esthetician really knew her stuff. I will definitely be back and will tell all my friends too! more

I am an advid massage go-er, and have been for years, so I am pretty picky. I also have a lot of back and neck issues, so I love deep tissue and treatment work. This place exceeded my expectations and I felt great after the session. I ended up buying a 5 pack, which they offer at a good discounted rate, so that I can stay on track with my massage needs. In addition to the great massage, the office was clean, nicely decorated, and very friendly staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Pros: Relaxing, therapeutic, professional Cons: wanted more!!! more

I had the best experience at Good for you Massage & Day Spa. I met with the Esthetician to see about a package of Chemical Peels or Microdermabrasion. She was very informative, She explained to me the procedure in ways I could understand and made me feel extremely comfortable. I did purchase a package, they have very fair prices on all the services. I got a 1/2 hour massage also, and I wish I had gotten an hour. I will be back, No doubt. Pros: Very personal, I didn't feel like a number. Great Equipment Cons: A little difficult to find more

My fiance and I were looking for an inexpensive couples massage for my birthday. We knew that by doing something on the cheaper side we would have to make a few sacrifices. We found a few places on city search that we checked out. We ended up makeing appts for a place in Bothell. After discussing it, we decided Bothell was a little to far, a little mor than what we wanted to spend and the reviews, really werent all that great. There were several complaints about some of the staff, mainly just the receptionist. However, the complaints about the receptionist were in almost every review and thats just not how I wanted to celebrate my birthday. We continued to look and found on Craigs List a place that was much closer and about $50 cheaper. It didnt offer quite as many services that the Bothell business had to offer but it didnt have any horrible review so we decided to try it out. Long story short, we were very pleased. The massages were wonderful and the staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. The office had a professional but relaxing appearance and demeanor. We began with a foot soak followed by a one hour side by side massage. I had a fabulous time and I think our expectations were well exceeded. I didnt expect much more than a visit to a massage therapist at a chiropractors office. Excpet that we would be side by side. The entire visit was not quite what it would have been at an upscale spa by any means but it was a wonderful second choice for the price we paid. I will definitely be going back. Its about the same price as a chiropractors office but it is more personal and professional. Feels more like a spa than a doctors office. Pros: Awesome price for a couples massage and decent location. Cons: Not as upscale as a salon but didnt expect that for the price we paid. more
