This is one of the WORST clubs EVER. I just don't understand why people line up here for HOURS and get abused just to go in... I work for SBE and I know how they work and this is NOT the place to go if you'r down to just let lose and have a good time. There's so much politics behind the scene and they are really not in it to make a profit. Maybe that expalins why they are failing so badly. They try so hard to promote and publicize this place but it's practically run by this dude at the front door by the name of Chris (the tall, cross-eyed beeotch who thinks he's the man) who's in it just to F the chicks. If you're not on a guest list, expect to be in line for upwards of 3 hours. AWEFUL PLACE, NOT WHERE YOU WOULD GO FOR A WEEKEND NIGHT ON THE TOWN. I went to this place twice now with about 6 to 8 people. Everytime got the bottle service and in my opinion they do a good job with the fruits, soft drinks etc. My comments on the place: Good music, great service and nice environment. I would not agree with the editors about model or hot looking girls. 70% of girls look average. Only 25% would be considered slightly better than the average. From the time I made the birthday reservation for 10 people over the phone, there was drama. They overstressed how prompt we had to be or the party could not be seated. They claimed to have 130 dinner reservations for the evening. When we got there, the place was empty and they were still giving us grief because 2 members of our party were not there yet and they said if they didn't arrive in the next 5 minutes, they wouldn't be able to join us for dinner. After looking around at the empty room, we ignored them, were rushed to our table and forced to order our food immediately. The waitress hung around until we ordered. The last 2 of our party did finally show, and they let them sit. I felt like we were constantly being rushed. They kept reminding us that they table had to be given up at 10:15pm. The place was still relatively empty. They said we couldn't order food after 9pm, but of course we did. The key to enjoying yourself is ignoring the rush. If you can get past all that, some of the food was really good. Especially the chilean sea bass hand roll (we ordered 10) and the spicy tuna cut roll. The drinks were generously poured. I think we were able to stay a bit longer at our table, because we brought a cake for the birthday girl. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but again if you can get past the Hollywood Hype. You would swear we were trying to break into the best hollywood hot spot with A-list celebrities!!!! So I went tonight on a wednesday and it was relatively fun, lots of people, fairly attractive girls and guys, cool decor, ok music. The main really bad thing was that the valet tried to charge me 20 DOLLARS!!! Watch out, don't let them fool you. The sign for how much valet costs was slightly hidden so I didn't see that it said $10. I almost drove off scratching my head at the exorbitantly high price of valet. But instead of driving away thanks I waited and got a good look at the sign and it said $10. After I had already paid $20 and the guy had gone back to the sidewalk with my money I pulled down my window and asked "how much did you say valet is?" The guy rushed to my window and said "Its more after 9 pm." Then I asked another guy and he said "SUV's cost more." Then I said "but the sign says 10 dollars. They suddenly gave me my ten dollars change after that. I guess they panicked. Don't let them rip you off at Goa's valet! They do have a hot crowd and I love that they don't let in most of the trash from the Valley but why do all those idiots wait in line for two hours and then post a bad review on citysearch. If you don't get in within 15 minutes your probably ugly and should stay in the Valley or go to a sh*tty club like Cabana or Blvd 3 or maybe head west and go to Republic. I can't speak for any other night than Wednesday, but if you want to be in the most exclusive Wed environment in Hollywood then Goa is the place to be. The Wednesday promotion team of BToll, NightVision, GoldenBoy etc. means the hottest young Hollywood girls make up at least 2/3 of the scene. In all seriousness, every bad review I read of this place was based on the length of the line/"rudeness" of the bouncers. If nothing else that tells me this place is A+ because they care about their quality levels. I mean Big D is there every Wed/Thurs and if anyone wants to challenge me and say he doesn't know whats up go ahead. GOA defines Wed. night in Hollywood. If you don't like having to know people or looking good then go back to whatever land you came from. Hollywood (and GOA Wednesdays) are just not your scene. Oh and the house DJ's on Wed have been world class this summer. more

I never write reviews, but this place was sooo obnoxious, I just had to. Wow...45 minutes outside in line for our dinner reservation because they'd rather make the place look busy and popular than have four people inside buying drinks and appetizers. Apparently they were so busy that if our other guests weren't there, we were gonna lose the table....we went inside to find the place half empty! We were seated at our table for four (the one we would lose, that couldn't possibly accomodate more than four...no way) which was a hard carpeted shelf around a coffee table that could comfortably seat 8. On to the mediocre sushi....45 minutes later we were hussled of the table because we didn't want to pay $400 for a bottle of Absolut. We decided to sit at the bar instead since the music was pretty decent, and a few more folks were arriving. Apparently you can't sit ANYWHERE in this place unless you're buying bottles. We stood at the bar watching the crowd. For every 1 A@#hole guy, there were 8 pussycat doll rejects - nice odds for the douches! We decided to leave. On our way out, we danced up on to the raised area which takes up most of the dancefloor and the most amazing thing happened.....a girl with a pink feather boa started pushing my friend off the floor yelling at her - and this is no joke - "YOU CAN'T DANCE HERE...THIS IS A PRIVATE DANCEFLOOR.........I PAAAAIIIIDD TO DANCE HEEERRR!!!" I don't have the words to describe this scene. This was quite simply the most obnoxious, funny, ridiculous clubbing experience in 20 years of going out. I'm European, so maybe I'm crazy, but this is NOT what clubbing is about, and thankfully it's not like this anywhere else in the world. The oriental interior trim and exotic decoration of this upscale spot is really impressive. I loved the unity of colors and styles. It is certainly not only a place to celebrate but also a piece of art. Though it is a real pity that not everybody is able to get inside but only those on the guest list. This club is definitely worth the experience and certainly a place for special celebrations and occasions. Me and my girlfriend went and ate dinner with 2 guy friends...she was told on the phone we could stay after dinner because we were already on a guest list since we had dinner reservations. After we are done dinner the waitress comes over and says she hates this part of the night, will you guys buy a bottle? if not I have to ask you to wait outside in line again....ummm what we just ate dinner and your telling us to leave unless we spend another $500....well sorry that place doesn't look like its worth a $100 cover charge...and while the waitress was absolutely beautiful and amazing personality, once it turned to a club we wouldn't be associated with her, it would of been some ugly chubba that was collecting our plates making us feel rushed. I was invited by one of the promoters and decided I would give this place a try on a Friday night. I?m a Brazilian model and brought a couple of non-model friends with me. The door guy that looked like a short busted Ryan Phillippe basically ignored us and just said he would see what he could do to get us in. After waiting for 20 minutes I wanted to leave but my friends thought there was still hope to get in because he kept saying ?hold on and we will see if we can get you guys in?. After an hour I told my friends we were wasting our time and left. You have to understand that at these types of places the door men (if you can call them that?they are almost always 5-foot-nothings) are very judgmental and look to let in model/blondebigboobfake types. All others get treated as the door guys gets treated his everyday life?they are ignored and get no attention from anyone because they are losers outside the club doors. Seriously, the door guys are dressed in cheap clothing, cheap shoes and have the old type of flip phones?must live at home too. Do your self a favor. If you are not in 15-20min you are not getting in and you will be kept around to make the line look long. You are just advertisement for the club/bar. The door guys will NOT tell you they are not planning to let you in. P.S. I?ve had been there in the past for a PRIVATE red carpet event which was a guest list only event and had a great time. It seemed like everyone who was on the list and their guests were getting in. They had no issues or questioned any of my guests. I saw Kat VonD, Adam Levine many other celebs.
