Great experience from the initial service call to the repairs/replacement made. 12/11/2012

This is our second time using GDS in the last two years for two different issues. James was very efficient, called prior to arriving since it was ealier than was expected, explained the problem to me so that I understood what needed to be replaced, and in general was very plesant and good at explaining my options to me. I will reccomend GDS to those needing garage door service! My call was returned very quickly in the morning and service was completed very quickly as well. more

I had a issue with the garage remote and they sent a technician right away. Mike was really polite and very knowledgeable about the garage opener. Gave me a quick tutorial on diagnosing the usual issues that may come up and only require a simple fix. He switched out the remote opener and in all it took less than 10 mind to have the issue resolved. Would recommended using this company for any garage related services. more

Super fast and friendly one-day service! 12/3/2012

My garage door opener quit working last week, and I never received a call back from the company that installed it. So I went looking for Plan B in the yellow pages today and my first call was to Girard's. A live person answered the phone and after explaining the situation I had an appointment for this evening. James, the service technician, called ahead to let me know he was on his way and arrived right on time as scheduled. He explained the problem, what needed to happen to fix it, and gave me an estimate of the cost. Once I gave him the green light James had the job completed in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend Girard's to anyone needing assistance with repair or replacement of their garage door opener. more

A life-saver right before Thanksgiving 12/2/2012

I enthusiastically recommend Girard's Garage Door! When my door spring broke and I was stuck in my garage the day before Thanksgiving, and none of the other companies I called even managed to call me back, Girard's provided outstanding service in every respect. The customer service rep even called me to tell me the technician was a bit delayed (how often does that happen?) The service tech was friendly, knowledgeable, and worked efficiently and cleanly. Thank you! more

James was knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. He explained exactly what he was doing. He tried everything to try to stop a noise when the door was 3/4 down. He pulled the cover off of the motor and greased everything. It still made the noise. (Note: the noise did disapear in about two days.) He also pulled the metal frame away from the wood to allow more clearance when the door opens and closes. Put in spacers. more

James came to replace our original garage door spring and cable. He was efficient in his work, as well as a nice guy. The replacement was well done and he checked our door as well as our liftmaster opener. I would use you guys for any further repairs we need. A job well done with a good price and warranty. more

James called a few minutes prior to his arrrival. He was exactly on time. He fixed the problem and explained all the details to my wife. That does not always happen with service people. Good job more
