Great service, professional and friendly technician, very prompt. 12/28/2012

I had a door out of alignment that I tried to fix myself and probably made it worse. Girard's fixed everything for us (changed all hardware and leveled the door). Unfortunately about a year later, one of the new wheels fell off. Girard came out promptly, fixed the part per warranty, and I had them fix my other door as well. Ryan, the technician, was very professional and very friendly; he answered questions politely and was nice to my kids and dog too. I am very pleased and would recommend to others. Also they offer a great warranty. more

We hired Girards to replace two older Genie openers - Blair was our salesman and installer. He did a fantastic job for us - prompt, professional, and the installation job was perfect. We added the internet garage gateway as well as the most quiet lift master openers on the market. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of workmanship and the product. I would DEFINITELY recommend Girard's (and Blair) to my friends and family. If you are searching for a garage door company that gets the job done right the first time (we have used a number of companies in the area where we had bad experiences) you MUST call Girard's - ask for Blair he is the best! Excellent Service, fast response 12/24/2012

Pete is the guy to get! 12/24/2012

Pete demonstrated his depth of knowledge, customer-orientation, and electro-mechanical skills to our delight on Christmas Eve. The cable on one side of the 2-car door had broken, and the wood was pulled from the wall. He is a customer-oriented guy. Friendly. He has a pleasing personality and a winning attitude. He taught us what we needed to know and explained everything so we would understand what was going on. What he did: First: he arrived on time with everything he needed. Second: Pete quickly sized up the problem, realigned the track to get the door open, replaced the broken cable, lagged the bad side back in place, aligned the door, lagged the second side in, as a precautionary measure (impressing us), tightened and realigned the door and its limit switch to get it to smoothly close evenly on both sides, lubed the rollers, hinges and opener screw. How he did it: Efficently. He only took about 30 minutes to solve our problem completely. Thoughtfully. Again, lagging in the undamaged side impressed us. Seeing that the door had a gap on one side when closed, he put in the time to correct that non-emergency flaw. And we now know to us silicon for the rollers and hinges and the petroleum based lube for the screw. Thank-you, Pete. more

We arrived home yesterday and the garage door would not go up after many tries. It was about 3:45 PM. I went to the yellow pages and chose Girard's and made the call. The man who answered understood the problem immediately and dispatched Ryan who was in our service area. He gave me a "window" of 4-6PM for Ryan's arrival. Ryan came by 4:30PM, found the problem - defective springs and had everything on the truck to fix it. He did a great job and we were very grateful for the fast, professional service! I'm glad I picked the right Company from the yellow pages. more

From my call for service to completion of the work, the entire thing took less than 2 hours. I've never had anyone show up that quickly and complete the work that fast. Mike the tech did a wonderful job and was very patient explaining the problem (and fix). I would highly recommend them! more

I backed into my garage door (don't ask) and while I was trying to straighten it out, the opener crashed to the floor. I was picturing a huge expense, with a repair sometime in 2013. I called Girards this morning and by nightfall, James had everything fixed, all the bolts on both openers replaced with longer ones, actually in the studs (the originals weren't well placed) - all with a smile and courtesy. Great work! more

Great service with personable technicians 12/13/2012

James came out initially to determine the problem with my garage door and the spring had broken, but he also explained that the opener wasn't the best for my door which is very high. He recommended a different opener and we decided to change it. James and Blair came out to change the unit. They were the best. They explained everything to me and were such nice guys. I would recommend them to anyone. more

Great price for a great job 12/12/2012

Over the past month, our old garage door snapped a cable and then the rollers started breaking and coming out of the track. When I finally couldn't open it anymore, I checked Angie's List and found Girard's GDS. Mike came out the next day to take a look and gave us a quote. We were interested in replacing the door parts and putting in an opener. They were able to get creative with some discounts and got everything within our budget. Scheduled the work on the door replacement, and Mike showed up as scheduled to do the work himself. Not sure how he did it, but a few hours later our garage door was working again. It was a tough job and took him longer than expected, but he stuck to the quoted price. From past experience, 8 contractors out of 10 would have pushed additional charges, but that never even came up. Even added some additional support for the door for an issue that wasn't noticed when he originally came out. Great price, great service, and on time. Highly recommend if you ever need work on your garage door! more
