I went in to get some fenders and a bikerack installed. When I came back I no longer had a kickstand. I went back inside and was like ""ummm... I used to have a kickstand"". The repair guy was nice enough, and explained that it was either that or the fenders, because they can't be in the same place at the same time, and offered to put on a different type of kickstand that wouldn't interfere with the existence of fenders. This is good, because as I told him, I'd rather have a kickstand than fenders. It would also have been nice if they'd asked me before they just did away with my kickstand, but that's a separate complaint altogether. Anyway, the counter lady asked repair guy what he was doing still messing with my bike. He explained that they'd taken my kickstand to install fenders and he was installing a different kickstand. She said ""well that's not OUR fault."" I fail to see how it's not their fault that they didn't tell me that in order to install these fenders I could no longer have my kickstand! They had my contact information. She just had a bad attitude, and even though it's really conveniently located to where I live, it made me never want to go there again. The store was also really small and didn't have much selection. I recommend Recycled Cycles in the U-District.
