Although we didnt get our shoes here, I applaud Formal Headquarters for having exceptional tuxedos, a top notch show room, and professional service. Throughout the course of my tuxedo search, an expedidition that was constructed under the pretense of satiating my wife, I visited in total 8 tuxedo companies, wore over 25 tuxedos, and narrowed my selection to a 3 button from Jean Yves and another one by Ralph Lauren. In the end, Formal Headquarters won out (the 08 parisian rocks!) Chaps had some of the more masculine and fitted outifts. I think some of the Chaps stuff is too commercialized, but its made of nice material and fits well. I'm sure all their sales people know their stuff, but I'd recommend asking for the lady that helped us, I think her name was Amy. She was a wealth of knowledge who told us she has worked at this shop for many years and she says it like it is....which I personally appreciated. I was especially impressed when she told us not to buy the shoes from Formal headquarters since I told her I am not a fan of renting shoes, and additionally I don?t like patent leather (tuxedo shoes). She suggested we go to a place nearby, because we could get something in between patent leather and non patent leather and save ourselves hundreds of dollars. She said this way we could buy something we really wanted, since we were going to be keeping the shoes and not renting. And get this...she even offered to come with us to the place on her day off to help us find the perfect shoes to compliment the tux. Now thats good service. The only draw back was that they always seemed to be really packed. Every time we had to go in for a fitting or even the initial appointment which was on a Tuesday (I assume hardly a normally busy shopping day), it was hard to get into a dressing room with so many people crawling around. Over all we really liked this place, definitly recommend it...
