Good: The selection is great. They have older movies, tv series and even anime. Great service to the GLBT community by marking movies with GLBT content.. Bad: The service is horrible. Every time I go in there the workers lack any form of energy. I never get greeted or thanked and even when I'm at the counter ready to hand over money, it's a hassle to get the worker to acknowledge my presence.. Improvements: Employees that are customer service oriented and actually give a damn about their jobs should be hired. Removal of the dog would be great too. Maybe then the store could take advantage of the large Somali population in the area, make some money, and do some much needed repairs.. more

where else can you get "Wham-Bam Thank you Mam," a cheesy soft-core porn movie based on horny aliens who beds the elite women of hollywood. okay, i may be off on the synopsis but its close enough. my point being is you can find basically anything there. so if you live in minneapolis or within the twin cities, mother F'ing go to Nicollet Village Video. It's a must if you want to find even the rarest flicks. I was in awe when i first discovered Village Video (i came from hick-town USA with a few block busters and family videos on nearest location). it was luck that i only lived a few blocks down the store...or was it that i was meant to find that small peice of happiness in my life. you tell me. now go!!! dee dee mao! what part of dee dee mao didn't you understand!!! more

Nicollet village video is a place to rent cheap older movies, I usually tend to go to a larger video store to get a better value on new releases. If you like watching older classic movies at a great price go for it! I will continue to occasionally rent from them more

This is one of the best video store selections I've ever seen. They have tons of new releases, but they're not the ones you find in blockbuster, and they generally only have one or two coppies of any given movie. So don't go here for the latest big budget hollywood movie. Instead, find pretty much any kung fu movie released in the US, find tons and tons of independent films, find something new, find something you wouldn't have otherwise seen. Oh yeah, and it's hard to beat their 4 movies for $5 on non-new-releases. more
