Considering I went to Feast on a recommendation, I must say I was very disappointed by my experience. It was very average food and I didn't feel like it was worth the amount of m...

WEEKEND RITUAL 7/8/2006

This has to be the best place in Chicago to start of Saturday morning, its become our ritual. The bloody marys are THE BEST IN CHICAGO, believe me weve tried them everywhere. Our favorite spot to eat and start our day is the bar where our bartender/waiter knows our names and treats us like we were long time friends. Once we walk in he makes us our drinks without asking. Hes GREAT! Not to mention the AWSOME food, its unreal. The staff is great; food is excellent along with fresh atmosphere and music. Pros: VALET, Service food and street parking(if your lucky) Cons: NONE AT THIS TIME:) more

Definitely worth a try 7/3/2006

The food here is wonderful! Everything from the burgers to the halibut has exceeded my expectations. The staff is attentive; I will say that some servers are better than others (Beth is great). The patio is charming on a nice evening, and they have fabulous wine specials on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you are up for great food and good service, you should give it a try! more

Yummy and a good time - who could ask for more? 6/22/2006

Boo! to the folks who think this isn't as good as everyone says. I first went to Feast 2 years ago and have been back many times. I've taken advantage of the 1/2-price bottle of wine and eaten a number of items on the menu. Everything I've had was consistently good. This is WAY better than the over-priced, over-hyped Meritage down the street! If it wasn't great the first time, I encourage you to give it another chance! Pros: Always good food, always good service more

A Grand Feast! 6/16/2006

One of our fav local spots! The Tortilla Soup, Clams & Crabcakes are to die for....\r The BBQ Salmon, Glazed Porkchop & Stuffed Chicken Breast are divine!! The Creme Brulee is superb.... and 1/2 price bottle of wine is a great deal for an excellent dinner out in the city!!! Pros: Outside Seating, Taste, Service Cons: Parking more

overrated 6/12/2005

Feast did not live up to most of the glowing reviews I had read before making reservations. I arrived with friend at 9:00 on a weeknight. Service was some of the worst I've experienced in the city. Our waiter was abrupt, unfriendly, and made it clear that we were his last table and that he wanted us out the door asap. Tried several times to take both of our plates while we were clearly still eating. As if that wasn't bad enough, the food was uninspired for the price. I will never go back. Cons: terrible service more

Don't miss 8/24/2004

Feast is an incredible place... offering great food, ambiance and value. I am constantly taking friends to lunch and dinner there. The weekend brunch can't be beat either. As if a great brunch isn't enough, the valet parking is free! Pros: Free valet parking, Great food, Great ambiance more

I love this place! 12/1/2003

A friend of mine lives in Bucktown. Everytime I visit she jokes that this is the only place I'll eat. There are several great places to eat in the area, but for brunch, Feast is it. The breakfast potato skins and the eggs benedict are fantastic. I'll be back! Pros: Great food, Reasonable price more

Creative Breakfasts 10/24/2002

I tried this place for the first time a few Sundays ago. The mimosas were some of the freshest I have had, and it was diffucult to choose between all of the interesting menu items. I finally decided on eggs portabello, and I was not disappointed. This is a place I would definitely like to take someone who was visiting. Cute, cozy, and fabulous food! more

A waste of time 8/15/2002

Bad service and worse food equal a wasted evening for a big price. more

Nice Surprise 7/21/2002

This was the first restaurant that I ate at whenever I moved to the city two years ago. My friends and I still go every once in a while for brunch. The food has always been fresh and creative and the staff, although not overly friendly is helpful and attentive. Pros: Nice atrium Cons: out of the way more

Summer evening on the patio 6/24/2002

I came here with a group of 10 or so people, and found the service to be very adept. The hosts were friendly and our waiter was great--very efficient and amiable without hovering or rushing. I enjoyed the food--an eclectic menu with spicy Southwestern undertones. Nice atmosphere and comfortable patio. Pros: Crowded Cons: Parking more
