Worst

Prices are higher than most. I my situation, I was told that I needed struts and it would $950.00 and a tuneup for $400.00. I brought the car to the dealer and was charged $480.00...

Awesome Service! 10/17/2011

Steve and the guys at Family Auto Service in Baldwin are awesome. They make sure my car is checked regularly and they take the time to show me whenever something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I recommend everyone take their cars to Family Auto. foreign cars, luxury cars, hybrids, or whatever. They do it all. You can trust them. more

Def the best place to go! 10/13/2011

I went in for my oil change, air filter and new tire.\r They showed me all of the problems and Steve the owner is very honest. He does not use cheap products they use all of the best and best of all their prices are amazinggg!!\r The people are great! I would def recommend this placee! more

REBUTTAL TO "NOT A BIG FAN X 9/23/2010

"THIS IS A REBUTTAL ON THE ONE LEFT BY"NOT A BIG FAN X".\r The car did in fact break down upstate due to a defective part that failed.Th problem was that the repair shop upstate did not follow procedure as AAA requires.They sold her a distributor based on the fact that a screw had fallen out and made its way under the cap and ruined the entire distributor.We told the customer to save the old parts as the repair shop refused to process this under the aaa warranty.The customer did not save the parts and her husband called us demanding money and became verbally abusive to me and my staff.I called the repair shop upstate and asked for the old parts.When they sent ot to me the distributor was actually fine,just the ignition rotor was defective.We realized that the shop upstate had been dishonest and i called the customer who refused to entertain an explanation.Yes,the part(rotor) was defective and would have been warrantied,but the shop did not follow the rules.We started an investigation of more

Family Auto Svc is World Class 6/27/2009

I have used Family Auto for over 15 years. They are the ONLY facility i will let touch my car. I know that I can trust Steve and his crew to do a fabulous job. Steve makes me feel as if I am taking my car to a family member. He is professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. more

this is the best place to take your car 12/2/2008

they will spend the time to diagnose your problem.the car was just at a shop down the block and that shop missed the fact that my ball joints were about to fail.steve took digital movies(wow!) and e mailed them to me to see the problem.they saved all the old parts as well.i will admit they are not the cheapest but they offer the best warranty i have ever seen(lifetime parts and labor).they delivered my car washed as well..modern and efficient. more

Reviews are correct, they do overcharge, but you can bargain with them and they do a good repair job. the staff is knowledgable and they do most any repair you need. PROS: a little pricey CONS: none more

Price is enough to feed 10 familys 8/30/2005

i visited this place when my brother had a broken windshield. I visited them for the price and wow by the time i saw it, i was shocked. Stay away from this store if you can not afford a repair. I do not recommend this store to anyone under 21. It will be a disaster in the future. more

Okay, Overpriced 7/10/2005

I went to Family Auto Service as recommended by the AAA membership. I thought I was getting a good deal on my car, however, I realized that I was overcharged for some of the repair they did to my car. For example, one charge was for $19.99 windshield wipers which did not include labor. When I went to an Auto Store I saw the same wipers for $8.99. On the other hand, my car is running smoothly and I have not had any problems so far. more
