I've been going to Falls Rd. Animal Hospital for 2 years and while I find the vets to be reliable for the most part, I find the people who are checking you out to be lacking knowl...

courteous and understanding 5/11/2011

Very professional, yet courteous and understanding of my relationship with my cat. I was informed at every step of the care and treatment and, when appropriate, was allowed to enter the treatment area to see him. You will not go wrong in trusting your pet in their care of the vets and their staff. more

Great for emergency situations 5/6/2011

Best price for spay/neuter, but would get other things done elsewhere. Great for emergency situations (open 24 hours). more

loved it! 5/4/2011

I have delt with falls road animal hospital for a few hand fed birds and exotics, and they have been nothing but excellent to me. they were friendly, and caring, and explained to me all of the procedures and options, and realistically what the would recommend i do personally, for my budget the cost wasn't a suprise like it can be at other places. they are very direct. loved it! more

Falls Road Animal Hospital is superb in my eyes and the night shift is exceptional!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Perfect 4/26/2011

I've been coming here for at least 20 years. It has always been a superb experience for my cats and for me. more

happy and health 4/21/2011

I had a good experience at Falls Rd when I brought my rat in to have an abcess looked at. The doctor was very kind and patient, didn't try to push any tests that I couldn't afford (perhaps because of patients species), and had no trouble holding and treating my rat. I paid only $40 for a visit, needle aspiration, and 2 Rxs. By the next week my rat was happy and healthy. more

so grateful 4/19/2011

I was so overwhelmed with the condition of my pet when I arrived at Falls Road Animal Hospital in the middle of the night. I was so grateful they were open. The staff immediately assessed my kitty's condition and took him back to be examined right away. They put my fears to rest and took great care of Felix. I actually switched my vet to Dr. Hammond, he's the best in Baltimore. more

GO ELSEWHERE: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 4/18/2011

I came to this vet for dental surgery for my cat, because my regular vet didn't provide dental care. I went to fall road animal hospital based on reviews that I read online. I would not recommend this vet to anyone. The office staff was very rude, and very unhelpful. At one time, returning a call from them after the procedure was preformed, they told me they could find any record of them even having my pet (that is only one example of their rudeness, the list is too long to list). I only saw the vet once for my predental appointment 2 weeks prior and only for a few minutes. On the day of the procedure, I never saw her and very little post-op help was provided. They didn't give me any information on how to feed my cat, when pain meds should be administered and gave no help or reassurance on how to care for my cat post-op. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this vet, the only reason I gave them a 2 was because I felt like the price was reasonable and they didn't try to ""nickel and dime"" me, but other then that I would never recommend anyone take their animal there, unless you don't mind terrible service, and would like your vet and/or vet staff to not care about your animal or its wellbeing. more

wonderful 4/14/2011

when I took my animals to them about a year ago, they were wonderful. The staff was friendly and really seemed to care about my pets. The only complaint I have is the waiting time, but I only had to wait when there were people in front of me, not when nobody else was there, like some other people said. They are the only vet I know of in Maryland that treats guinea pigs and is open 24/7. Their prices for flea, tick, and hartworm medicines are actually cheaper than the vet I had been taking my dog to more

supportive environment 4/13/2011

I appreciate the supportive environment and responsiveness to my concerns. more

she is enjoying coming here. 4/11/2011

The staff treat Sadie very well. I think she is enjoying coming here. more

Thank you Falls Road for being there when I needed you. 4/8/2011

I made the mistake of taking my dog elsewhere to be spayed. She was sent home that same evening with no pain medication. I was told she probably would not need it. Later that evening she kept whining, and couldn’t get comfortable, I guessed she was in pain. Frantic I called the place where she was spayed, they were closed with no number for emergency contact to them. Luckily my friend gave me the number to Falls Road. I called them and was given some at home advice with the recommendation to bring her in if condition worsened or remained the same. I ended up at the hospital a few hours later. The staff was great, going over at home care, medications, and warning signs to look out for. They gave me the option of keeping her overnight, and although it was more than I had hoped to pay, I wanted the reassurance that she would be monitored by knowledgeable staff round the clock. All in all, where I thought I was saving money I didn’t, I found out that her spay would have been cheaper going there in the first place, AND they automatically keep both male ad female animals overnight. I am telling everyone I know to go here. You get what you pay for, superb care and a clear mind. Thank you Falls Road for being there when I needed you. more

extraordinarily thorough 4/6/2011

After a very sad health diagnosis for my dog of ten years, I want to commend the falls Road animal hospital for the work that they do, and Dr. Anthony in particular for her sensitivity in delivering bad news, and in her extraordinarily thorough treatment / surgery of our pet. What could have been very traumatic for all, especially the dog, was as comfortable as possible. The cost was high, but worth it. more

THEY are in it for our pets 4/4/2011

My cat had a swollen lip and I took him to Eastern Animal hospital. I left with a $145 Bill from numerous test and medicines they said he needed. 2 months later same issue appeared but i decided to take him to Falls Road Animal Hospital. They gave him one shot and he was done. They didn't try to make me get additional test or additional meds. I am so pleased with their quality of care. THEY are in it for our pets not the extra money! I will transfer all my pets here cause this is who can be trusted! more

ready to answer any and all questions 4/1/2011

Since I moved to Baltimore four years ago, I used a vet recommended by a friend for my dog and two cats. But when my 13-year-old dog has a seizure in the middle of the night, Falls Road was the only choice. And it turned out to be the right one, though ultimately my much-loved dog had to be put to sleep. The staff, from the techs to desk staff to the vets, were responsive, kind, and ready to answer any and all questions. When I went to visit my dog and started sobbing over her condition, the vet on duty noticed, quickly finished what he was doing and came over to talk to me and my husband. We got knowledgeable care, responsiveness, and, most of all, compassion from everyone there. They have issues--really busy being the biggest one--but I have decided to switch the care of my two cats to this facility. more

very kind and attentive 3/29/2011

Always a happy visit. Dr. Allen is wonderful very kind and attentive. more

Horrible Horrible Animal Hospital 3/27/2011

My cat had surgery and developed complications. When I called and explained to them the symptoms they put me on hold. I was on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up and called back and was told there were emergencies that had called or arrived after my call that they were treating first. I am an ER nurse and I know a complication when I see it. The staff at Falls Road are rude, ignorant, uncaring, and need further education on the proper treatment of animals and people. more

loyalty to the best animal care I know 3/22/2011

My pomeranian was hit by a ball. She fell down and was unresponsive. I rushed her to the Falls Road Animal Hospital where I was greeted promptly by very friendly staff. I handed them my beloved pet and watched as they walked away not knowing if I would ever see her again. About 10 minutes later they walked out with my Ginger in hand and she was alert and seemed fine. They assured me she was OK and she probably was knocked unconscious. They said they could run test and do x-rays but they thought all she needed was some rest. They told me I could leave her there for over night observation or to take her home and keep and eye on her and bring her back or call if anything changes. I was so surprised and happy that they didn't try and push all this stuff on me to try and get my money. They were just concerned about my pet. Thanks for your loyalty to the best animal care I know. more

great experience 3/18/2011

Dr. Herko has been great in his treatment on my two rats! It was also a great experience to be on TV. I am glad that Zip was asked to do this. I do want to thank everyone at FRAH for their care and attention to my babies. more
