Factor's Famous Deli did a poor job on estimating the time of delivery. I placed an order at 11am and received an eta of 1pm, which made no sense. 2 hours to make food, so I chatted with Grubhub to find out what was going on. Factor's notified them that the time was an error and that our food would arrive at 12:30pm. After Factor's verified that the food would arrive at 12:30pm, the food then didn't show up until 12:50pm. Very poor customer service. more

I live less than 5 minutes away so the hour and a half delivery window on top of a $5 delivery charge and over a $5 tip is unacceptable. Last order from here from me. more

ALWAYS DELICIOUS, IT WAS DELIVERED EARLIER THAN EXPECTED. more

Very average food. Good for a quick bite but nothing that will blow you away. Delivery also takes a long time. more

Someting to be Famous About 8/11/2010

This one of the old, consistent delis that won't let you down. The service staff is professional and prompt. All the food comes out the way you would expect. Much better than Jerry's Deli, which is neither Famous nor a deli! more

Reuben Anonymous 2/3/2010

A Jew's home away from home, leave it to Factor's to keep me hooked. In addition to their free wireless and sports TVs, they make the perfect reuben - three inches of meat, just enough kraut, melted swiss and perfectly toasted rye. Hi, I'm Kika, and I have a reuben problem. Hi Kika... more

Decent deli food 5/29/2008

I?m a big fan of Factors? flavorful knishes, juicy and tender pastrami sandwiches, crispy potato pancakes, and ironically for a deli, its tantalizingly cheesy mozzarella sticks. The restaurant has a relatively new buffet line of hot, side-dish deli classics, including mac & cheese as well as mashed potatoes. Rich pretty much sums up the majority of the desserts Factors offers, including its lemon and brownie bars as well as its blackout chocolate cake. You can order off the menu in the dining room, decorated with movie posters and other memorabilia, or get take-out from deli and dessert counter. The restaurant also delivers to within a three-mile radius, but service is slow, so be sure to put in your order a good two hours before you want to eat. What also makes Factors unique among the other delis in the Pico-Robertson region is that a) it?s not a kosher restaurant b) it?s open from Friday to Saturday night during the weekly Jewish Sabbath. more

Poor Service, Poor quality food 11/17/2007

I read about the deli as the 9th best deli in LA out of 10. I wanted to love this place, but I couldn't. The meat was tough and fatty. The coffee cold. We waited 10 minutes for 2 glasses of water. Parking was awful. No, I cannot recommend this place. I'd rather enjoy Nate N Al's on Beverly Drive. Cons: Doesn't measure up more

best deli in LA 4/21/2007

I'm not a big deli fan, but I love Factor's. You can actually have a healthy meal here while your company is having a cholestoral binge. They have amazing salads which are so huge they can be shared. The crowd is mixed ages as opposed to the competition which makes you feel like you are in a senior center. They deliver take-out deli platters, etc. great for a casual event like a sports gathering or kids' party. The owner is friendly and usually there. Pros: there are some healthy choices even though it's a deli more

Home of the Flavorless Omelette 4/3/2006

Factors would not be the place to go for a really tasty omelette unless you prefer something unseasoned and bland. Perhaps we made a mistake in ordering the brisket omelette. My wife smothered it in tobasco (she likes her spice) but it still couldn't be saved. Their sandwiches and soups are tasty, however. I like that the waitresses are old school and personable. Good luck finding a parking spot. Pros: sandwiches, soups, waitresses Cons: brisket omelette, parking more

Great restaurant for everyone 3/3/2006

Factors is a great alternative to the fast declining Jerry's Deli and the other LA staple, Canters. The menu selection is comparable in all three, and the quality of Factors food is pretty good overall. It's a very reasonable place for breakfast, service is quick and friendly. Parking can be an issue, especially at weekends. On the upside, I have taken large groups here (>10) and have not had to wait long for seating - of course, peak times (early at weekends) can be very busy, but I always find this a good sign. Overall, I'd recommend this place for breakfast and for large groups who have varied likes/dislikes. Pros: Food, Variety, Price Cons: Parking more

Great Sandwich 7/29/2004

Factor's is fantastic! My lunch usually consists of sandwich, soup and fries. Factor's is by far the best deli in Los Angeles. I actually live directly behind Cantor's and drive all the way to Factor's because it's that much better. I think the only deli that can compare the Factor's is Second Avenue Deli in NYC. Pros: Corned Beef, Service, Clean more

Magic! 10/15/2002

Great food and service made even better with the new addition of a house magician. The magic is sleight of hand done right at your table. The guy they hired is AMAZING! Pros: magician, valet parking, friendly more

It's all about the Turkey Reuben 5/21/2002

Sure, the food is all around solid at Factors, but I pretty much stick with the Turkey Pastrami Reuben and the Turkey Dipper. I've worked my way through the menu and landed on those two favorites. For breakfast, you can't go wrong with the cod, whitefish or lox. more
