Great Place for Used Music 1/20/2009

Yeah, its not the best place to buy new CD's cause its a semi chain, and yeah they don't have bathrooms, but Everyday Music is still bitchin. Their used collection is great, and it's addicting to spend hours looking through the "SKUF" crates for that little buried gem. Check this place out. more

Good indie record store 2/10/2006

Reasonably deep selection of rock and blues. They dedicate a lot of floor space to CDs that have just arrived, sorted by date of arrival. This didn't work so well for me as a casual visitor but seems like a cool idea for frequent customers. more

Everyday Music 8/18/2005

Located on Broadway in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, Everyday Music sells CDs, vinyl, tapes, and DVDs. The real attraction of the store is its wide music selection - the store sells music of all genres, boasting particularly strong jazz, electronic, and indie rock sections. The staff is friendly and informative. If the store doesn't have what you're looking for, then they'll order it free of charge. It's a great place to buy whatever you're looking for. more

Huge selection and variety of new and used CDs 8/18/2005

My first experience with Everyday Music was at their gigantic Sandy Boulevard store in Portland. This store in Seattle is not quite as big (although they recently almost doubled their floor space) but the selection seems just as good. If you still like to actually own physical CDs then this is a great place to shop. They group new and used discs together, so it is easy to see what is available from your favorite artists, and the list of artists in the catalog is deep. This is my favorite place in Seattle to buy music. more

Browse Everyday Music 8/17/2005

Everyday Music is your typical independent record store which has both its upsides and its downsides. The obvious upsides are that it has local flavor, is filled with interesting personalities, and has loads of used cd's and dvd's for cheap. The major flaw can be summed up with the fact that they don't keep an inventory, and, therefore, have very little idea of what they do or do not have to sell. This isn't too big a deal for the most part, except that as music gets sorted into various genres by various employees or music aficianados, it is tough to know just where to find a number of bands. They might have what you want, and they might have it used if you just take a bit to look, and while this is both good and bad, ultimately, it's what independent music stores are all about. more

Pay Cash for your DVD, CD, and Tapes. 8/12/2005

Everyday Music is a new and used CD, DVD, tape and record store located in Capital Hill. They have a huge selection of used CD's and they pay cash for all used media. In the back of the store is a wall full of used LP's with average prices ranging from $2.50-$14. You probably won't find hard to find or limited press vinyl here but it does have a good used jazz LP selection. I bought a Chick Corea and Bill Evans album for $4.20 a piece. All used LP's are in excellent condition. more
