Great Place to Buy a Car!! 2/12/2010

First - let me say that Europa Auto Centre at 717 Dexter sells high quality and luxury autos at wholesale prices. Many of the review on here refer to auto mechanic services. I rarely write reviews..it typically takes a real WOW for me to make the time to recommend or write a review. Europa Auto Centre is a WOW! If you are looking for a quality car and want the best value - you need to see these guys. They only carry great quality cars - no junk - and their prices are great. Most importantly, Howard and Micha (sorry if I misspelled your name...) are very easy to work with. They made the whole process very easy. I had been searching across the country for the car I wanted. They had one of the nicest cars I could find and their price was well below the dealership - even though their car was in better condition with more options. If you are picky about cars and want good value...you need to visit Europa. They will make it easy...no pressure - no BS. Nice cars - great value. This is where I will start next time I need a car or SUV. Save yourself the trouble of going around to overpriced dealers and high pressure auto brokers - give Europa a call. more

This is the place to buy your new car! 1/24/2010

I passed by this place on my way to work and decided stop in and take a look.I was greeted by a guy named Howard who politely welcomed me to his indoor showroom that contained a great selection used Bmw's,Mercedes,Audi's,Vw's and a couple of Lexus vehicles. The first thing I noticed was the incredible condition of these cars as well as each one containing a packet that included a carfax as well.I was surprised at the knowledge Howard possessed and his low pressure approach.Needless to say the next day I returned with my boyfriend and we purchased a beautiful Audi A4. If you are looking for a place to purchase a new used car you need to stop hehe and check these guys out. Thanks again Howard and I wish you and Misha great success at Europa Auto Centre. more

Good service but expensive 3/13/2006

I have a mixed view of this place. They are located in lower Queen Anne, right between Aurora and Dexter, and specialize in European cars, obviously. What I didn’t like about them is that they are pretty pricey: $1,800 for an inspection, brake pads, rotors and tune up. Also, when I picked up the car, it was making a terrible thudding/vibrating noise that wasn’t there before. It was a bolt whose threads have torn while they were fixing the car before, and they didn’t notice. At the same time, the customer service at Europa seems to be quite good. They took immediate care of the bolt problem, and replaced 3 other deteriorating bolts for free, and the owner drove me to work, from Queen Anne to Bellevue. more

High-end european car service 3/6/2006

I took my Audi for service at Europa recently. The staff have a good understanding of German cars, and pay significant attention to detail. They are also very service oriented. Your car is returned clean (they give it a very thorough exterior wash) and they offer to drop you off if you're going somewhere nearby. We had our brake pads and rotors replaced. After we picked up the car, we heard a sound in the back right. We took the car back, and they found that a few bolts used in the brake assembly had rusted a bit. I would have liked them to have taken care of this when they replaced the brakes, but they replaced the bolts and didn't charge us for anything. I really appreciate this level of service, and it indicates that they are an honest shop. Europa is not cheap. They are very service oriented and you pay for that. I believe their mechanic labor rates are around $95 an hour. more

Talk to Josef 10/27/2005

Josef at Europa on Dexter has a thick, confidence-inspiring German accent. What's more, he is a great mechanic for anything Teutonic. Until recently, Josef ran his own shop, but now he has sold his business into Europa and works out of there. The other people are nice enough, but when you talk to Josef, you know you are not getting the run around. more

over and above the call of duty 8/20/2005

We all know how hard it is to find a good mechanic, but Lloy Drinkard and his shop is such a find. All businesses have the occasional problem, but what really sets a good business apart is how it handles those problems. When there was a problem getting a newly-installed clutch to work properly, Europa went far beyond the extra mile, giving us a loaner car and spending days of labor trying to figure out the problem - which turned out to be an actual counterfeit OEM clutch that was just off enough to not work right. Lloy ate all the costs - we're sure he lost plenty of money on that transaction, but he gained our gratitude and loyalty! more

used 8/11/2005

Europa Auto Centre Auto Sales usually has a nice selection of used cars and trucks. Sometimes they have some great cars at good deals - other times I have seen piles of junk on the lot. Most of the vehicles they sell are very well maintained and at a good price. Extremely Nice sales men and associates. more

Gouged! 6/7/2005

I took my 1997 VW Passat in to this repair shop to fix my driver's side door handle and window that were not working properly (the door wouldn't open and the window wouldn't roll up all the way). They charged me $500 and said it was fixed, and then when I got it home the door wouldn't lock. So I took it back and they spent another day on it, saying that they had overlooked another part that was broken and would fix it. I went back to pick it up, paid another $200 for the new part and labor, and when I went to unlock the door the lock broke. So I left it there again and when they called back they told me that the reason the lock broke was that I was jerking the key too hard, and if I didn't do that it would be fine. But what if a friend drives my car or I want to sell it in a few years (which I do): I will have spent $700 to pass on the word that my drivers door works fine only if you turn the key gently!! I don't think so. I am incensed and feel taken advantage of. I would not recommend this shop. more
