Eden Day Spa

I regularly get pedicures at Eden. It's like a mini-vacation. The pedicure takes about 1 hour and every minute is a delight. First, a soak in a flower petal and lemon slice-strewn tub, then, remove old polish, trim nails, trim cuticles, massage feet with a sandy massage cream, scrub to clear away calluses, followed by a wonderful leg massage, a hot towel wrap for your feet, and lastly, the nail polish. Each step is done with great care and the pedicurist is always checking on your comfort: “Is the water too hot?” “Am I massaging too hard?” I am a stickler for hygiene at a spa. The tools are all disinfected and the initial foot soak is in a wooden tub with a disposable liner. I should not rave that the polish lasts for weeks (but it does). I’ve also indulged in facials and body massages. I’m working through their “menu” of selections and so far, I cannot say that I have a favorite – each is wonderful. Everyone is personable and attentive. The lighting is soft, the music is relaxing, and the entire atmosphere helps you to drift into complete relaxation. more

I found this place five years ago after trying so many different places in and out of NYC and havent gone anywhere else. It is by far the best place for a massage, facial and body scrub I have ever had. The therapists are professional, accomodating and really know how to get the knots out. The mani / pedi is good but not out of this world for the price. If youre looking for a nice, relaxing, relatively inexpensive, clean spa this is your place. more

My friend and I went just for the swedish massage. It was great! We almost missed the place because the "storefront" is pretty non-descript. But once you enter the spa... its amazing! (at least to a spa novice like me...) The decor is kind of like a tropical rain forest- it's beautiful and very relaxing. We were the only ones there, so it was very quiet. The massage was heavy pressure (I like it that way, but she started that way without even asking) and no frills or extra moves. We just sat in the rainforest for a while after, then sat in the sauna. Clean, quiet, great service... I'd definitely go there again. more

I went yesterday for 1.30hr massage and 30min reflexology. The massage was beyond horrible. A woman used so much pressure that i felt more tensed than relaxed. I have a horrible pain right now on my neck and arm, i can't move my neck at all and actually just made an appt with doctor to see what the hell she did to me. The room was so tiny and there were cockroaches running on the floor. It looked like the woman didn't know what she was doing and she was very rough and in a rush. Many time I think she was touching inappropriately which was just humiliating. DON"T GO TO THIS PLACE. more

Starting out with a milk and honey bath filled with rose petals, then get a chocolate wrap, followed by an oil massage, this treatment covered everything I'd want in a body treatment. I highly recommend it, as I've done it on numerous occasions and have always come away feeling thoroughly pampered. Did I mention they were running a special on lunch being included? Nice, huh? more

I absolutely loved the massage I received here. For $88 it was a total steal! I told the massage therapist to focus on my upper back since I had a lot of pain and tension there. She listened to my needs and by the end of the massage, I could not believe how much better I felt. She was very strong and when I asked her to use less pressure on other parts of my body, she did exactly as I asked. After the massage I had tea and was able to eat lunch for free. The lounging area was really nice and relaxing and I was allowed to hang out as long as I wanted to which made the experience even better. I will without a doubt be back here soon! this place is so awesome and the service is unbelievable, I visited new york from Boston and I always come to this spa, the massage was just wanted I needed and by well trained therapist! the lounge area is like a rain forest indoors and I love the final touch of having a snack and tea after your service, i will definitely be back!!! more

Me and my bf received a couple's massage and it was amazing. My back feels great. I also really enjoyed the "private time" after the massage with the champagne and fruit and chocolates. beautiful facility! Some constructive critisism : robes are short, sitting area is wonderful with fountain and bamboo but while eating lunch thay were trimming toenails during a pedicure in the same area. We relocated our seat. For a first time customer, I was surprised the spa did not interview me or fill out a questionairre about medical conditions. Despite these observationsn I would definately return to Eden ! more

just yesterday i decided to come to eden for a manicure pedicure. i read all the great reviews and decided to try it out. They were SOOO right about this place i had a great time here. i was surprised that the spa was this big (certainly couldnt tell from the outside...)they brought me to a different area to have my manipedi done and they had mini tvs so i could watch. i received my pedicure first and while having that soakin in the water i was able to enjoy my comp lunch and my fruits and crackers. i had the french pedi and french mani it was perfect! the technician had very steady hands and made sure they came out very pretty x] they had hand bowls to to wash off my hands and they exfoliated my fingers... never had that done before. but i would have to say my fingers are very soft after that and of course i loved the mini hand massage that i received with my mani. everythin felt soo relaxing especially when they gave me a reflexology as well!!! i almost fell asleep during my pedicure... after everything they allowed me to use the facilities as well. i stayed in the lounge for hrs just relaxing and using the sauna and showers. it was great! i would definitly come back next time. I have been going to Eden Spa for many years and not once have i been disappointed with the service. I had gotten a Deep Tissue massage and requested that she focused on my lower back since i was having lower back pains. Not only did she relieve the pain but i felt very relaxed and the muscle tension was gone. I am not surprised to see that this spa has such great reviews on citysearch. I went there last night after work for a facial and it was just wonderful. I gotta tell ya, I have the worst skin ever since I love sunbathing, so my skin is not only dry it was damaged due to too much sun exposure so I needed help. Not only did I receive a much needed facial, they offered me a complimentary 10 minute hand treatment and a dermal peel due to a special for the month of July that I was just in time for. I have been going to Eden for pedicures for the past 4 months - I love that I can usually get a walk-in or same day appt. I was having major back/neck/shoulder soreness and decided to book a 60 min, which they were able to accomodate my same day request at a time that I wanted. Chris was my massage therapist and was wonderful. She definitely helped release some tension in my back and gave me the kind of massage I went for (a painful-tight muscle attack and not an ooh, aah relaxing one). I would def request her again. Two days ago was my first time at Eden day spa and my experiences there have been nothing short of absolutely fabulous. My fiance had gotten me a gift certificate for a facial and a massage. After about three hours there, I did not want to leave! The massage and facial there were so great, each and every one of the technicians were so attentive. My skin was glowing with healthy radiance thanks to the facial, I gotta admit it must have been the best facial I've ever had. I was in much need of a massage too since I've been having bad neck and shoulder pain and they sure relieved it. My masseuse had the perfect amount of pressure (I got a deep tissue massage) and really worked the areas I asked her to focus on. Two days later I still feel like a million dollars. I came to eden day spa last week during their spring special week. I got the 45 minute massage and the 45 minute facial and they were both amazing. I only paid $65 for each of them as part of their special! The staff were all really friendly and extremely attentive - especially my massage therapist who concentrated on the specific body parts that i told her had been really tense lately. My facial was super relaxing and my face felt so smooth and clean afterwards. I ordered their pasta dish for lunch (it was free with the service) and it was absolutely amazing. After everything, i sat in the sauna for awhile and it was great that nobody rushed me out - i stayed as long as i wanted.The receptionist told me that they have new specials every month so i will definitely be back there soon. Last weekend I arranged for my boyfriend and I to receive a one hour massage and facial. I’ve had many facials prior to my arrival at Eden and I must say, Eden was one of the best. My boyfriend and I had massages prior to our facials and it was so exhilarating, I almost fell asleep. The massaging techniques were amazing and I have never felt more relieved. I have to admit that when they were massaging my pressure points, it was a bit painful but the aftereffects were truly amazing. Following our massages, our facials were unique. The esthetician exfoliated my skin and extracted the blackheads and pimples from my face. It wasn’t too painful like most other facials. For a guy, my boyfriend's excitement for the treatments excelled mine. My boyfriend and I had a truly amazing time at Eden during and after our treatments. I've been coming to Eden Day Spa for about 1 1/2 years now and I must say, it has yet to fail me. Recently I went to get their new facial called Age-Loc facial and I was so surprised. The results were truly amazing, even a few days after the facial my skin has never felt so smooth and it made my dull pigmented skin looked brighter than ever. I can say that not only was my facialist warm, friendly, professional and efficient, she is also very skilled and knowledgeable! Overall I just love the atmosphere. Not only are their prices so affordable, they have a promotion every month and being a spa junkie that I am, I must've taken advantage on almost every one of them. I was provided complimentary lunch (I had the chicken/shrimp pasta and it was delish), fruits, tea, juice, small snacks, it's great and so worth my money. They don't rush you out the door once your service is over and they leave a lot of items in the locker room to help make your stay more relaxing. I just love the comfty chairs in the lounge, the wait was short but I didn't mind it because it was a very pleasant waiting room experience. I adore this place! I came in recently for a couple massage with my girlfriend and it was an incredible and memorable experience. The front desk staff greeted me as soon as I stepped in and showed me into the gentlemen's area. The massage was amazing and it seemed like I could lay there forever. Afterwards we were provided with complimentary lunch, fruits, and chocolate as well as a complimentary bottle of champagne. We were also given a free gift as we were checking out but that is a promotional special for this month only. Overall we had a great time and definitely will be coming back soon! more
