Best

I regularly get pedicures at Eden. It's like a mini-vacation. The pedicure takes about 1 hour and every minute is a delight. First, a soak in a flower petal and lemon slice-str...

I went for a massage and while I was there I realize that one of the housekeepers was cleaning the bathroom next thing I see was the same woman cooking. I thought they had a cook...

My home away from home! 1/16/2003

I have been to many spas all over NYC, but nothing compares to Eden Day Spa. The front desk girls are extremely friendly. With bright smiles and radiant energy, they made me feel right at home the moment I stepped in the door. The massage and facial I received were wonderful, but the customer service are what will keep me coming back time and time again. Pros: friendly atmosphere, soothing music, professional staff more

Wonderful getaway 1/12/2003

I received a day at the spa as a christmas gift from my boyfriend. The service was great, the employees were cordial and the massage was outstanding. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing. The only negative thing i can say about eden is that for some reason, the manager decided that it was necessary to remind me to leave a tip before i had checked out. Thats a bit tacky dont you think? Pros: wonderful service, great massage, very relaxing Cons: Tacky Management more

i think i'd still go back... 11/18/2002

my boyfriend bought me the sandy beach scrub and european facial for my birthday. the sandy beach scrub was incredible - soaking in rose petal-filled water, the fabulous Vichy shower!! the facial was relaxing, but i've gotten better results elsewhere. while the atmosphere is soothing, i didn't feel as pampered afterwards as some other users have written. since i was there by myself, it was a little awkward sitting alone while no one offered me beverages or food. =( the only questionable part was at the end in the open changing area (presumably only for women). i could hear very loud voices in the room where i had gotten my scrub - of an older male customer and female spa therapist. it was a bit disconcerting since the review said the Vichy shower was for women only, and the changing room is supposed to be open and comfortable for women. Pros: FABULOUS beach scrub, lovely interior Cons: expensive, not AS pampered, man in back room more

Fabulous Facial! 11/8/2002

This place is like a fairyland. The setting is dimly lit, cozy, beautiful, and sparkling clean. The staff is friendly and laid back. This was my first spa experience and I never felt intimidated or uncomfortable. I can't wait to go back! Pros: serene atmosphere, clean, no wait for an appt. Cons: none more

A very nice gift 10/16/2002

I came to Eden Spa with my mother-in-law as a gift from my husband. We were very impressed with the layout of the spa and the amenities--especially the nice relaxation room. We got facials and massages. Alan, the massage therapist, was very friendly and the massage was relaxing. For our facials, somehow both of us got talked into getting procedures that cost more money than what was given to us in the gift. I don't want to say there was ill-intent, but it's hard to haggle when someone is touching your face. Regardless, I think I'll give it another chance. The wooden bath looks like it would be fun. more

Great Find, but you need a lot of time 8/21/2002

I had a fabulous massage at Eden. The staff is very professional and make you feel welcomed. The interior is very relaxing. However, it was a little dark for me. I also like to get in and get out because I have such a busy schedule. This place is really if you have a lot of time to hang out in your robe and slippers and eat the nice fruit they provide. A+ on the service. more

Relaxation!! King/Queen treatment 8/19/2002

I treated a very special friend of mine to Eden Day. We each got facials and then both got reflextology (feet) at the same room. The facials were relaxing.. the personnel were very professional. What I loved the most was afterwards when we were both done with the spas, both of us were pampered in the relaxation room. We were brough fruit, tea, and catered to without asking. Really felt relaxed and treated right. Foot massage was avg - above-avg. Will def. go back and try a facial - body combo next time. Pros: Good Setting, Great Service, Pamper, Professional more

What a getaway 6/13/2002

Eden Spa is a wonderful getaway from the busy hot streets of NYC. Cant wait to get back for another massage. more

worth the trip 5/22/2002

Eden is a great downtown santuary. I work in the Ground Zero vicinity and was looking for a local spa to escape the everyday insanity of heightened security alerts, helicopters looming overhead and construction work on every street corner. The deep tissue massage with Christine was my best spa experience to date. The facial and manicure were also very good. As a frequent spa-goer, I was most impressed with their overall service and facilities. I will definitely return to splurge on their signature Sandy Beach Scrub - which looks like a real treat. Hint, Hint: Eden's website offers monthly specials that very reasonable. Pros: well-trained staff, location, hours of operation Cons: lack of privacy more

  • The Scene
Quiet and pristine, this lovely, spacious spa includes a sunny reception and store, a cavernous waiting area with snack nook, saunas, facial and body service areas, and men's and women's locker rooms. Much of the sleek, plush furniture is imported and custom-made--like the extra-wide massage tables with built-in face cradles, and the Mu-Tone, a traditional East Asian wooden bath laced with oils and flower petals. The dimly lit lounge and nail area features buttery leather armchairs with headphones tuned into the entertainment projected on large white walls.

    The Services
Quality spa fare with Asian and holistic influences. Facials use Dermologica products, essential oils and natural extracts. Massage styles include lava stone; body treatments include seaweed wraps and the "Sandy Beach Scrub," a full-body exfoliating with Mu-Tone soak, scalp mud treatment and Vichy shower (women only). Waxing, manicures and spa pedicures (with reflexology) are also available.
