Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater's Reservation Blues

The Scene
The musician's touch is obvious in the exceptional sound system and the two-foot-high stage, which offers good views from anywhere in the club. Walls feature memorabilia, like a poster for "Nuit du Blues" from Grenoble and the Chief's Native American image in blankets and headdress. Above the bar, a retired Clearwater guitar, cowboy boots and a trio of cowboy hats are on display. The club's sturdy wood, brick and restored-copper bar make up for its relative newness.

The Draw
Blues fill the club every night it's open; expect wailing harmonica, shout-outs to blues greats and vinyl nostalgia. Reservation Blues has an extensive food menu (oddly Southwestern, considering Clearwater's Mississippi heritage) that includes Indian fry-bread tacos and masa-encrusted sea bass. Order sweet-potato fries or the Big Chief buffalo burger.
