Good quality Chinese food 3/31/2006

Ecce Cafe is a great neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It's in a little strip along Broadway, and it's a cozy spot. The service is pretty good, and the food is excellent and a great value. The chicken teryaki is great, and it comes with a side of yummy tempura veggies. The pieces of chicken are small but plentiful, so you can always take a bite with both chicken and steamed rice. I'm not a sushi person, but it seemed like when I visited, almost everyone but myself and my husband were eating sushi. The prices are reasonable and the food seems very fresh... definitely a thumbs up! more

Average Asian Food 3/2/2006

This asian restaurant is a mixture of all different types of ethnic fare: Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean and more. Unfortunately, I find a lot of the food bland and boring. Their chicken teryaki is average, but their Korean spicy noodle is far from being spicy and the noodles were a bit mushy. The sushi is acceptable but nothing out of this world. more

True Pan-Asian Restaurant 8/13/2005

Most restaurants that call themselves "Pan-Asian" really aren't...Ecce offers a great mix of a variety of Asian cuisines at terrific prices. You'll find a good mix of appetizers, soups/salads, rice and noodle-based entrées, sushi and non-alcoholic drinks. (Be forewarned...Ecce's definition of spicy is inconsistent. Some things are only moderately spicy and others are very spicy.) Ecce is a BYOB restaurant (you can pick up wine and beer from Treasure Island, which is about a block away). Delivery is also available. Service is friendly, though sometimes impersonal. more
