It was one of the easiest moves I have made. I have no complains and will highly recommend E-Z movers. They delivered everything in a timely manner and provided me with brilliant customer service. But what absolutely blew me away was the way they packed my stuff! They carefully wrapped every single piece of my furniture using professional materials so nothing was damaged, scratched or destroyed. Great gob! more

I chose E-Z Movers because of promotion they had. They provided me with 15 free boxes, plus offered free storage service. I did not use storage, but I guess that free storage is a great bonus for people who really need this service. The actual move went smoothly. The pick men were great, very helpful and professional. They coordinated my move professionally and mad me feel that all of my boxes and furniture are in good hands. I also really appreciate that it took less time than estimated to move all of my belongings. As a result, I paid less than originally estimates, which was a good surprise for me. I would definitely recommend E-Z Movers and surely use them for my future moves. more

I have never used a moving company before and I was thoroughly impressed with EZ movers. The movers showed up early to do a quick inventory so they were ready to begin the move right on time, which I appreciated. At the end of the day, the cost was more than anticipated, but it was definitely worth it. My team of movers were very professional, handled ALL of my items with care, were extremely speedy, and communicated all charges and options that I had. I ultimately chose the company because I was referred, and because the 15 free boxes which were a MAJOR plus as boxes are expensive! I would definitely recommend E-Z Movers to people looking for reliable and efficient movers. more

I choose E-Z Movers because of referral. My friend used them before and had a great experience. Because of some circumstances I needed to reschedule my wove a couple of times. E-Z Movers? team was very collaborative and helpful all the time. They did their best to make a move date as well as pick up time finally work out for me. Many thanks for that. In addition, the actual move was a stress free move! ? and I should add ? a damage free as well! The moving crew was extremely careful with my belongings! You should see how carefully they packed all my belongings! Even though the packing materials cost me some extra, these expenses were absolutely worthy. I was impressed with how carefully they packed my stuff. I could not do any better! I heard that packing services might add to the cost significantly, which is true. However, to cut the cost I bought all the materials from an online store and asked the movers to pack mu stuff using these packing materials. That was smart of me. more

Overall, the best moving experience I have had in the city. The movers arrived at the first location within 30 minutes of the start of my window and completed the entire job within 2.5 hours (1.5 hrs less than the estimate). They were friendly and courteous. Language barriers sometimes made it difficult to communicate, but otherwise everything was great. more

I moved recently across town in Chicago. It was a 2-bedroom move and we were quoted $378. That was a really reasonable price compared to a lot of other quotes I had gotten from other companies. I ended up going with EZ because the company we initially wanted was booked. Scheduling was a real breeze. Maryam was very helpful on the phone and helped schedule movers so that we could be out of our apartment by the time our landlord needed us out. The day of the move came, and our movers showed up right on time in our time slot. One of our roommates was also moving out that day and had scheduled movers for the same time. But our movers were really accommodating and worked around the other company. (We did separate our belongings by room so there would be less confusion.) They loaded the truck pretty quickly, considering we did have a lot of larger furniture pieces. I have a large, very heavy, and very expensive desk. I pointed this piece out to them, and the movers were great about making sure that it was totally protected. They were also very careful with our TV. They also wrapped our couches with drop cloths so they would not get dirty. The movers were so friendly and went out of their way to help us move some damaged furniture to the back alley where it could be thrown away. It was 95 degrees on our move day, but all four of our movers were champs. When we got to our new place, it was a hassle for them to park their truck, but they worked around the inconvenience of having to park in the alley behind our house and carry everything through the yard. What really made EZ shine for me was that--unbeknownst to us before we moved in that morning--the previous tenants of our new apartment had failed to move out everything, and there were lots of furniture and garbage that our building manager was still clearing away when we moved in. Our movers worked around the building manager's people without complaint and made it as easy as possible for us to get everything where we needed it. Our total price ended up at $445. It was more than we were quoted, but that is because our movers had to work around our building manager's people. (We will definitely be asking our landlord for some compensation.) As far as some of the other reviews go on Yelp that talk about stealing, our movers asked us to physically look inside the truck before they left, and because they had been so great so far, I had no worries about them taking anything. I really don't think I could have gotten through the move without a breakdown had it not been for the really friendly, professional demeanor of our movers. more

I chose E-Z Movers because the person who answered the phone was nice, and much nicer than other places I called for estimates. I like about the company the most is that the guys worked fast and were professional, clean and respectful to me, a single woman. I also appreciated the reminder call and emails that provided me confirmation and pertinent information. However, I was surprised that costs for tape/wrapping mattresses really added up! So plan to spend more if you do not pack your stuff by yourself. Other than that, I am really impressed with E-Z Movers. more

I saw the truck driving around and figured I would call. website was very well built and easy to navigate as opposed to other companies. Also, you responded faster than other companies did. I usually don't answer numbers I do not know on my cell phone assuming if it is important you would leave me a message. Your company was the only one that left a message while about two others just called and didn't leave any message. The three guys who helped me move were incredibly professional, fast and efficient. And very nice. Got my apartment cleared out incredibly fast and did it with care. I'm sure my move would have gone even faster if they didn't have to share an elevator with another moving company. Having to share the elevator in my new building. It wasn't really anybody's fault, I think a lot of people ended up just being behind that day. But my movers handled it well. It was nice to see that we showed up after the movers we were sharing the elevator with and we were done before. Your guys were organized and moved very quickly. Watching the other company go so slow made me very happy with my choice E-Z Movers. more

Ok, yes I'll say it - The move cost was under quoted, which seems to be a recurring theme. We were quoted at $350 and ended up paying $615. Our move took longer than expected by about 1.5 hours - and no packing materials were included in the estimate. This is probably the drawback of doing an estimate over the phone. However, everything else went perfectly. The crew of 3 showed up early, worked quickly, and were careful with our belongings. My first time using this company and it was my roommates 2nd time. She has had positive experienes both times. I would recommend them to others! Also, if you're going to tip them, give them cash and don't put it on a credit card. Not that this really matters, but the entire crew was hispanic and I speak fluent Spanish. I listened to them speak in Spanish the whole time - and they didn't talk smack about me which was a plus! more

I am actually surprised to read all these negative reviews about E-Z Movers. I really liked their service. Very polite, professional, and helpful people - from sales agents to moving crew! Prices are good as well. Estimation was very close to the actual number (I needed to pay only $75 more than I expected, which is not bad). I was surprised with how fast the moving crew packed all my belongings and loaded them into their truck. No damages! The only concern I have is that the moving crew was a little bit late, but it was not a big deal to me. So overall I am happy with E-Z Movers. more

If I could give E-Z Movers a negative star review instead of one star, I would. They don't even deserve the default star that these sites are forcing me to give. Why? - They sent an estimator out to give us what we were told was a binding estimate. However, that estimator apparently underestimated our belongings and they tried to charge us $1,300 on top of the $7,000 binding estimate. - They sent a disrespectful and unprofessional packing crew to our home to pack our stuff. This crew threw (literally) our belongings into boxes in no order whatsoever, damaging items including toys, a sculpture and a guitar. They smoked in our condo building and left the truck completely unattended in an unlit alley in Chicago at 8:00pm at night. - They moved our piano to California and then did not reassemble it properly. - They told us that we had 90 days to file our claim, yet denied our claim twice for reasons contradictory to what we already had in writing from the company. To warn other consumers about E-Z Movers, we've written up our entire experience at ezmoverschicagoreview (dot) wordpress (dot) com It's a long one.
