My husband and I bought a house within the last year, and are expecting our first child, so naturally we got to work upgrading the very dated bedroom that would become the nursery. When he got to the window sills and frames, he realized there were some issues, so we figured it would be a good time to replace the windows anyway, as they, too, were old and dated and not in the best shape. He came across Dream House Windows during an online search, and THAT DAY we had an estimate scheduled. It turned out that three of our four bedrooms were in desperate need of new windows, so we scheduled our second estimate and service. They were able to work with both of our work schedules and come on a weekend, and we were very happy with the overall work, installation, and clean up, and also the professionalism with which the job was done. About two weeks later when it started getting warmer, we went to put our window AC unit back in the spot it had been in (now in the new window) and to our dismay, it didn't fit. It had been in the old window perfectly fine, and this was our ONLY source of AC for our two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. Without it, it would be brutal up there in the summer! I was going to have friends from out of state staying with us in a few weeks, upstairs of course, and my office/craft room is also upstairs in the spare bedroom. On hot days it would have been unbearable to be up there, especially with me now just about 8 months pregnant. We called the company and scheduled someone to come out and take a look at the window to see if there was something that could be done to lift the panel just a bit more (literally 1 1/2 inches was all we needed) to be able to fit the AC back in the window. He came out again on a weekend and within the scheduled time frame that we were given, gave the window an overview, and at first wasn't certain it could be done, but wanted to try his best to figure it out. (Otherwise my only option would have been to have the AC in the front window, and I really didn't want a big box hanging out the front of my house with the condensation dripping directly onto the living room roof.) He said he'd be right back, grabbed some tools from his car, came back in and got to work. Within less than 15 minutes he told my husband that the AC was in, he just needed an extra hand securing it in place, which of course my husband was happy to do. This incident basically just sealed the deal with how happy we are with the company, and shows that they truly will go above and beyond to make sure that the customer is completely satisfied. I am also a very happy pregnant lady that knows I will be nice and cool while I'm on the first part of maternity leave and able to work on my scrapbooking and crafts upstairs while staying nice and cool!
