Great happy hour, lunch and dinner can be hit-or-miss 12/4/2006

The other reviewers have hit the mark on Dragonfish's happy hour. Getting a table in the bar before 6pm can be a challenge, but great if you can swing it. The spring rolls are great, as is the crispy tofu. The drinks are a bit weak during happy hour, but for $3 each, you can order two for cheaper than one would cost during dinner. Lunch and dinner seem to be hit-or-miss. At lunch the service is really slow for no good reason. Make sure to give yourself at least 1.5 hours or you'll be late getting back to work. Their noodle dishes can be loaded down with sauce, so I recommend something else. At lunch the Bento boxes seem to be the best option and give you a sampling of several dishes for about $8. At dinner, I've enjoyed the tempura halibut, but it is one of the more expensive entrées. All in all, not a bad place to check out. more

$2 Sushi 4/13/2006

This is a good spot for happy hour. They do $1.99 sushi plates. Delicious! They also have lots of yummy appetizers priced from about $1.99 to $3.99. The only downside is happy hour ends at 6pm and it is very hard to get a table in the bar during this time. You must get there early in order to get a table. I have had dinner here as well but prefer the happy hour. Service can be questionable at times, but cheap happy hour plates make up for this! more

The Best Appetizers (and not so great dishes) 12/6/2005

Dragonfish is a great place to go during happy hour for cheap appetizers and beer. I always get a couple plates of appetizers instead of a full meal because I think the appetizers are way better than their regular dishes. For their appetizers alone, I love this place. The springrolls, potstickers and calamari are to die for. It's a nice place to go before a show at the Paramount which is just a couple blocks away. Great atmosphere, great food. more

Great Happy Hour 8/24/2005

If you looking for decent sushi at a great price for Happy Hour hit Dragonfish on 7th & Pine. Sushi specials start at $1.95 a plate and other appetizers are $2.95. They have two Happy Hour specials starting 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. and then again at 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. daily. The wait isn't very long and you can always sit at the bar. The drink special offers sake, draft beers and certain cocktails for $2.95. The best cocktails are the Lemongrass Lime Rickey and the Ruby Berry Splash. more
