We put our pool in 32 years ago and the only people we have put our trust in is Dave who manages the family owned company or someone he has recommended to us if the service needed...

Worst

I found it odd that you claim there's not much you can check on a pool that's closed but it doesn't stop you from charging $175 to "not be able to tell much with the closed pool"

Don Marcum's has been a great company for the 16 years we've owned our pool. Respond quickly whenever we've had a problem. Reasonable rates. Always work with us to let us close the pool as late in the season as possible. A real quality company. more

I am happy with Don Marcum Service, the guys that came to my house were very nice, and very fast and did an excellent job. The guys names that came were Ron and Mark, they did very well, I hope to see them again, because they knew what they were doing and other places that have came out to my house had no clue what they were doing. A one star rating is too high. 8/30/2013

Use these guys at your own peril.\r Any of the ratings here of 1 or 2 stars can be added together to express my dissatisfaction. Don Marcum Pool-Care installed a pool cover for me in 2006. Prior to which they delay my builder for 6 weeks, did not position the pool as we'd agreed, after all that - managed to NOT position the rails square, ie, a trapezoid if you will. Had I not caught it my concrete guy would have poured it so that NO cover could have ever been installed. Mindless, a simple diagonal cross check measurement was all it took, and for lack of that I would have been totally screwed. The following year they did show up to check the equipment for $170.00. The next year after telling us their sewing machine was broken, 10 week later they showed up after 6-8 calls. repair was satisfactory. Any further calls for help or repair went unanswered and we've not seen them in years now. Had to get a contractor to come from Indianapolis for repair and new cover material. I'm not a neop more

Long Time Customer Leaving Town 9/8/2011

Marcum's Pool Care has serviced my residence for the past 20 years. It has now come time for me to relocate. I figured the least I could do for the company who has shown me so much care for so long is to shed some light as to what kind of company they truly are. Through my 20 years with them I have never met a technician who I have not liked or who has shown me anything but the utmost respect. I trust them with my openings, closing, weekly service, and auto-cover maintenance. I never think twice for them to service my house when I'm not there, on the contrary I feel it may be more secure when they are servicing my house. more

I have used Don Marcum for years. They are the only place in the area that services electric pool covers. I have never had a problem with them of any kind. They are always polite, they do not overcharge and their techs know a LOT about pools. I'm always asking them questions and they always give good tips on how to do things more efficiently. I would highly recommend them. more

Helped me save money 11/24/2010

I went to Don Marcum's Pool Care for a second opinion on equipment issues that I had. The original company had told me that I needed to replace the pump and motor because it was squealing. Marcum's said all I needed was the motor - which was 1/2 the price of the first company I contacted - what a relief to find a company not trying to take advantage of the public. more

Don Marcum's Pool Care recently did an inspection for a house we purchased. After the technician completed the inspection, the staff explained to us about a few possible warning signs that the owner did not disclose to us. After having Don Marcum's prove these damages, the owner had the issues fixed and we were able to buy the house without having issues with the swimming pool. This company saved us nearly a thousand dollars. Thank you, Don Marcum. more
