Dollar Value is a dollar store but it's got plenty of unique items that you wouldn't find in the larger chain dollar stores.
In general I find that their items tend to look more like items that you would find in a non-dollar store. They seem like a higher quality than chain stores. In particular I would recommend them for candles. They have some very nice candles that you would expect to pay much more for, but here they are only $1. Also, their garden ornaments are always nice. These strike me as the very best deals in the store, though there are many.
Also, unlike a few of the larger chain stores, Dollar Value's items are all $1.
