I called the service number for an appointment.Was connected to the service director.At that point i was asked what day and time would work with my schedule. When i brought my car in, i was greeted promptly.Since this was my first time at this dealership,the service consultant had asked several questions about my previous services and if there were any other concerns i had.i was beginning to feel very comfortable with the new service center. Imagine my surprise when the service consultant had asked my permission to have a technician ride with me for one of the concerns.My car is a 2005 with 38000 miles on it and i was told by two other dealerships that the hard shift from first to second gear when cold was normal for this year and model of car.Well,the technician actually found a technical service bulletin for this problem,performed the ""reflash"" to the pcm/tcm and now the transmission shifts smooth .I actually think im getting better fuel mileage now.
