Thanksgiving Sale $3 $5 & $10 Nov. 27-30 more

Editorial review from Citysearch 12/5/2012

Seller beware. I'm not sure if they're purposefully dishonest or if they are so poorly run that they just seem like liars. It's nearly impossible to get a straight answer out of them. Additionally, they are rude and haughty---covering up for mistakes or for lies? I will never consign there again. more

Absolutely dishonest. I took in 68 items, sold 38, never received the remaining 30 even though I went in to retrieve them before they expired. The first time I went in I should have known better to consign with them. They had a young girl (probably about 13 or so) working at the computer putting in my information. I noticed on the screen how many errors she had made in my address and name. I kindly corrected her and that was that. Then I noticed the immense amount of clothing scattered around the back room (which is where they keep your items until they decide to put them out). Then they had printer issues and could not print out my contract and their store information so I decided I'd come back a different day. I went back about a week later and never should have. It took them ONE MONTH to even put my items out, which was still counting toward my allotted amount of time for selling, which is 60 days. I had to call to check on my balance to even find this out, in which they then told me they had been backed and up and didn't get around to it. They granted me another 60 days and I decided that was fine. I was still upset because I had checked in summer clothes and by then summer was almost over. So the chances of me selling much were slim. So before my 60 days was up from the day I was told my items would have a reset expiration date I called to check my balance and to let them know I'd be coming in the next day to pick up my unsold items. The lady who owns the store answered and very smugly told me that my items were expired, gone and I would not get them back. She quickly became very short, defensive and rude with me when I asked her what happened to them and why they have expired ""early"". She yelled at me and told me that I should have read my contract better and that they have the right to do whatever they want with them once they are checked in. So in other words, my beautiful satin $200 Ann Taylor skirt is most like hanging up in the owner's closet. I went in the next day, was rudely dealt with, took my $14.60 check and left. I advise everyone not to do business at De Ja Vu. They are thieves and scam artists. more

Great place for designer finds on a budget\r Provided by Judy's Book Posted by Shawn B. on 02/01/2011 \r The cleanest and most organized consignment store I have ever been in. Great selection and prices. I could not afford some of the brands I have bought if it werent for Deja Vu! Thank you.. \r by Shawn B. \r AAA++\r Provided by Judy's Book Posted by trudy w. on 05/14/2010 \r I work part time at the mall and receive a great discount and tend to buy entirely to much stuff. I wear it a few times and take items to Dejavu They have a high demand for the items I bring in. I am extremely happy with my portion. However, I never get out of that store with a check I use my store credit. Dejavu has terrific sales and I could never afford those brands unless I buy consignment. \r by trudy w. \r Good clothes at fair prices\r Provided by Judy's Book Posted by Jill P. on 03/02/2006 \r This consignment store is located on Lewis along with 2 other nice stores, which makes it easy to make the rounds of the consignment stores. Deja Vu has a good selection of nice clothes for a fair price and they have a nice selection of business suits and dresses, and even sell furs. \r Jill P. \r \r Wonderful place for CHEAP name brand clothing\r Provided by Judy's Book Posted by Suzanne D. on 07/29/2005 \r This is a cute little consignment store... they have a little bit of everything, and they ONLY take name brand clothing. What works really great is if you take some clothes you're not wearing there, and ask that you be paid in ""store credit"" (you get more than if you ask for cash). Give them about a month to sell the things you didnt' want, then come in and pick out a great outfit with your store credit. Also, more

Gone downhill 6/3/2011

Times are tough for everyone obviously, but I've noticed this store increasingly cluttered and not nearly as up-scale as it once was. I used to love this store until I saw a dress of mine in their window for sale. I had been led to believe they donate what clothes they do not sell if consignors do not pick them up. They reminded me that clothing becomes theirs after the specified date per their contract. BUT if they are going to keep these clothes on the floor longer to profit from them, then they should still pay their consignors since the information is still all there in their computer!!! How else would a consignor ever know if their items have ever been put on the floor for sale to begin with? I will NEVER shop there again and MOST DEFINITELY will NEVER consign with them again. I know all businesses have policies, but this one is just tacky and in bad taste. Consigning there was not worth it anyway because they take so much of the profit. Sorry Deja Vu. I have enjoyed your store for several years until now. more
