I never write these things, but I felt I needed to, to warn other brides-to-be! I found my wedding dress at David's and it was great. That experience was fine. The lady helping was awesome, pulled dresses she thought I would actually like, and she seemed like she actually cared. They however, wanted to charge me MORE THAN MY DRESS for the alterations. So I did not go through them. Use Linda Lee Bridal Creations, she was fantastic! She is more cost-friendly, and will do anything to make your dress comfortable, stylish, and perfect for your dream day. My bridesmaids had unpleasant experiences with David's too. They would tell me one thing and tell my bridesmaids another! I had to call the store many times to ask them to steam my maids' dresses so they didn't have to come back weeks later to pick them up. I feel like the employees were kind to me, but not my bridesmaids. This is not right. If David's wasn't the only affordable bridal store in this area I wouldn't have gone there! more

Very happy with Mary! 6/23/2009

The consultant, Mary, who helped my daughter choose her wedding dress was very pleasant and helpful. (Even though the store was very busy.) I only wish that the procedure of purchasing, fitting, adjusting, bustling, etc had all been explained in detail. I guess the employees are so familiar with the procedures that they assume the customers are, too! Finding out as you go along is very frustrating for the bride and everyone else. On another day, the bridesmaids dresses were ordered.....but when we went to pick them up discovered that the wrong dresses had been ordered. Thank goodness, we had arranged to pick them up four weeks before the ceremony, so the manager at David's was able to quickly order the correct dresses. more

Not Friendly at All 4/2/2008

I have been to David's for my own wedding dress as well as my sisters and my best friends wedding. Each time I have gone there I the staff has been very rude. Don't even dream of going to David's ""just to look"" because if you don't have an appointment then you will get lectured on the importance of having one. Unlike other bridal shops in the Omaha area, David's refuses to store your dress. And if you do not get your alterations done with them, which by the way are horribly overpriced, they refuse to steam your dress as well. My sisters alterations for her wedding dress cost more than her dress itself. Each time I have gone in optimistic that it will be ""better this time"". Each time I get the same lousy customer service. If David's wasn't one of the only bridal stores in the Omaha area....they probably would have been out of business by now.
