Best

I stopped by Cossetta last night for dinner after Festa Italiana in St Paul (yes, I needed more food). I had the veal (AMAZING), pasta and 2 HUGE slices of pizza (1 sausage ...

Worst

I saw that the reviews were so-so, so I decided to try anyway. Boy, what a sad experience. The food was really bad. Check out chewy pasta and sauce that seemed like it had been fr...

Delicious 12/25/2005

I love it here. The pizza is awesome. The slices are big and worth the 3 bucks. I haven't had much of the pasta, but what I have had is very good. Inside is two levels with italian music playing. I like to sit in the back room upstairs because it can be a lot quieter. The staff is friendly. The parking lot is small, but its helpful. The only thing that makes me avoid eating here is when there's a large event at the excel. It can get busy around dinner time too, but that's expected. Pros: great pizza, cozy atmosphere, inexpensive Cons: can be busy, parking more

User review by chelwats 12/17/2005

I ordered one of their specialty sandwhiches and wasn't impressed. It was soggy and didn't have any flavor. Ive had several food options from here and wasn't impressed. Although the place looks quite quaint and authentic, the food is average at best. more

Very, very good 11/7/2005

Cossetta's pizza, although a different style than the pizza served at Red's Savoy Inn, is excellent with a far superior hand-thrown crust. I would rank Cossetta's pizza above Red's Savoy Inn, as it more closely emulates classic Boston and New York style pizza. While the place can get quite busy and crowded at times, the help is generally friendly and courteous, which is more than I can say for the crude and rude service featured at its nearby competitor, Red's. Cossetta's also serves up some excellent made-on-the-spot salads and a well-stocked Italian deli. Cossetta's is the best in the Twin Cities. Pros: Excellent pizza, Good parking, Great salads Cons: Crowded seating, Very noisy, Overpriced more

Good, fast dining! 9/20/2005

Service could be fine-tuned here. Last time I was there, the young blonde girl behind the counter just stared at me and didn't offer a ""how may I help you"" or ... This, thankfully, is the only negative thing i can say about Cossetta's even though it happens often. All of the food is EXCEPTIONAL. I prefer the pizza and dinner plate. Also, like how diners can take home frozen versions of the original. This is great cafeteria style dining. Open a second location, dt. mpls., where the crowds are. Pros: food, atmosphere, price, speed Cons: SERVICE, location, can be crowded more

Gotta Have Cossetta's 5/24/2005

The Food is excellent, the atmosphere is fun, the italian music an awesome touch, Overall a great place! I went to college in the twin city area and no longer live in that area but a trip to Cossetta's is a must when visiting the area. A while back took the girl scouts to The Mall of America but a little detour to Cossetta's was a MUST! The girls loved it! I miss it. more

What else can you ask for?!?! 3/22/2005

Great pizza, and a great selection of other italian dishes that are cheap. I now live outside of Minnesota, but everytime I come back to visit this is a must stop for me. Some of my greatest dates have been here. A slice of pie, some Mostaccioli, a beer, and casual comfortable environment to chat. Pros: Inexpensive, dependable more

Overrated 1/20/2005

pizza is not that good, bland, and greasy. The only good thing is this place has something italian for everyone, more like an italian deli. Limited seating if they are busy. Pros: Variety more

Italian food like no where else 12/6/2003

This place is certainly great. I'm so glad my friend's dad recommended it to us. If you are in a hurry this isn't the place to go, as they usually have long lines since they are so good! If you're new to the area you must stop on by. It's totally worth any wait. more

Good 10/10/2003

I prefer Red's Savoy over Cossetta's. They're not the best & a bit greasy, but still good. Can be crowed. Almost impossible if you're heading to something at the X. Food is served cafeteria style & can be a bit confusing. Tip #1-there are two lines, there is a pizza line & an everything else line, don't go through the main line line if all you are getting is pizza. They also have a great little Italian grocery store. I buy fixings for homemade pizza & other pasta dishes in here. They have pre-made pizza dough which is fun to do with kids. Parking--they have their own lot, can get crowded, may have to wait for a spot. Tip #2-if you're doing pick-up they have special spots so make sure you tell them if that's all you're gonna do. Pros: Price, Variety/Market, Parking Cons: Greasy, Crowded, Cafeteria service more

Very Unique 8/18/2003

This place is something you'd expect to find in the Northeastern part of our country. Very good pizza and a fun environment. I love the store. Great value, great pizza, great fun. I would recommended this place. more

Wonderful 7/19/2003

This Italian caffeteria style restaurant serves the finest cuisine of its kind in the Twin Cities bar none! more

Good Sandwich! 6/12/2003

The sandwiches are great! I usually have the turkey and provalone. Very good. The service is usually very good. However, if you are going for lunch, arrive early. The line gets long, especially on nice days (some outdoor seating). more

Style never goes out of style 3/6/2003

Authentic food, good people, and great taste, is what you need to make a succesfull business! Thats what Cossettas has. Since they started out in a little shack, they have always had good quality pizza. My family has been going there for years, and they have always spoken very fondly of the owner, and his family. I no longer live in the cities, but when i come down there, Cossettas is the first stop on my list. The service there is great, the people there are friendly and always ready to help. Pros: Taste, authentic, service, friendly atmosphere Cons: gets busy, sometimes crowded, long lines more

A Taste of New York in St. Paul 2/9/2003

Cosseta's brings the East Coast deli-pizzeria to downtown St. Paul. The pizza is soft, chewy and eminently foldable. The salads are fresh and the hot entrees are almost like Mom (or Grandmom) used to make. Add to that an excellent Italian meat market and bakery. A winner! Four stars! more

Good Eats! 2/7/2003

Great pizza and pasta. Old market style, and very friendly service. Definately worth the trip St. Paul. Pros: Inexpensive, Fast, Tasty Cons: Busy, Buffet Style more

stupendemento 2/7/2003

I love that place! I had forgotten how much I like it as I moved away from St Paul years ago and hardly have a reason to go back anymore - I just re-discovered one -thanks! more

Amore! 2/7/2003

This place is great. Plenty of causual atmosphere with a kick of traditional italian ambience. The food does not disappoint. Even smelling your food when you first get it is a treat. Although quick to serve, individual with great smells and even better taste. Pros: smells wonderful, Reasonable Prices, short walk from Excel Cons: limited parking, Event crowds thick, U take my seat more

Great Pizza!!! 2/7/2003

I really enjoyed this place. I loved the food and the atmosphere of it. It was laid back and a fun place to hang out with your friends. Pros: pizza, price, service Cons: small, set up weird more

Great Atmpsphere! 1/10/2003

We walked in to the ""Godfather"" theme and knew right away that we would enjoy our meal. The service was fast, the sandwiches were great and the pizza was even better. The building is very small, but we managed to pick a time that wasn't insanely busy and parking and seating were not a problem. Pros: Inexpensive, Cosy Cons: limited parking more

that marvelous pizza 1/9/2003

With the comfortable atmosphere, it's a good place for groups, families, and couples. Overall an excellent place to go for inexpensive, good food...there's a reason it's been around so long! Pros: great pizza, fast service, nice atmosphere Cons: limited parking more
