Best

I stopped by Cossetta last night for dinner after Festa Italiana in St Paul (yes, I needed more food). I had the veal (AMAZING), pasta and 2 HUGE slices of pizza (1 sausage ...

Worst

I saw that the reviews were so-so, so I decided to try anyway. Boy, what a sad experience. The food was really bad. Check out chewy pasta and sauce that seemed like it had been fr...

Great Atmosphere 1/9/2003

The food at Cossetta's was a good value, but the atmosphere was great. I was looking to see if Vito and Michael Corleone were at any of the tables. It's a good, old-fashioned place Pros: good food, great atmosphere Cons: long lines, parking can be bad more

good food/poor set-up 12/31/2002

what a wonderful resteraunt but the too small for the volume of people that pass through this wonderful resteraunt. Pros: tastes great, variety, fast Cons: needs to be bigger, people friendlier, parking limited more

MMMMMMM! 12/6/2002

Delicious! This pizza has exceptional seasonning, and the perfect amount of cheese and toppings. And the slices are HUGE! Pros: Friendly, Yummy, Fast service Cons: Parking, Sometimes crowded more

By the Slice It Rules 12/5/2002

Great for walk-ups on your way to watch the Wild play at Excel, Cosetta has an outstanding variety of good pizza. The lines are long, but the wait is worth it. If you ever want to enjoy this place to its fullest, check it out around 11 am on Saturday morning before the big crowd shows up. Pros: big slices, tasty options Cons: long lines more

Now THIS is Pizza! 11/27/2002

This is more like it. Great taste and seasonings. The pizza is CUT right as well! Pizza was meant to be cut in triangles NOT squares! Who ever thought of the square cut must have been out of their mind. more

Best Pizza in Twin Cities 11/22/2002

Cossetta's serves, by far, the best pizza I've tried in the state. I haven't tried them all yet. I'm working on it. But I have tried some excellent pizza in the Bay Area, and Cossetta is on par. Pros: Killer Pizza, Excellent Deli, Great Dessert Cons: Crowded more

Yum! 11/20/2002

I don't get to St Paul much, and when I'm there, its usually just for a concert. However, when I'm there, the only place I eat is Cosetta's! The food is outstanding and you get way more than enough to fill you up. more

THE Best Italian! 10/29/2002

Cossetta's beats Buca for best Italian in the Twin Cities - not only do they have delicious pizza, wonderful Italian dishes, classic Italian music, and an interesting atmosphere - BUT they also have a wonderful market within the restaurant that sells all kinds of pastas, cheeses, pizza dough balls (to make your own awesome pizza), Italian breads and sweets, etc., etc. The cooks, busboys, etc. all seem to be having a good time - it FEELS like you are in Italy with all the intimate chaos going on around you. A good idea - call ahead with your pizza order so that it is ready when you get there, and avoid lunch/dinner crowds. Also, it's better not to bring large groups unless you don't mind waiting for a table. Smaller groups or couples are much better, and it can actually be surprisingly intimate! more

Love the Ziti 10/27/2002

Fabulous food, cafeteria style. Great store connected to the restaurant with all types of noodles, spices, cheese and breads. Recommend it constantly. Pros: Good Food, Great Service Cons: Crowded more

nice find 10/22/2002

Great service along with great tasting food. The market has just about anything Italian you could want for that special recipe. A very nice selection of cheeses and olive oils could make any dinner party a success Pros: service, value, decor Cons: parking more

Fresh and Tasty Italian 10/21/2002

Add my voice to the ""Mmmm, good pizza!"" side of the debate. The pepperoni was sweet/spicy and plentiful. The mix of cheese (not just mozzarella) was tasty too. Cosetta's also serves salads, sandwiches, and hot pasta dishes, always in huge portions. Serving is cafeteria style and there is seating both upstairs and down. Stroll the market to find just the right olive oil or that European chocolate that makes you drool. Tip for parents: find a table upstairs that overlooks the pizzamakers; it's fun to watch them before and during your meal. Pros: Neighborhood feel, Fresh ingredients, Wonderful aroma Cons: Parking, occasionally, First floor crowding more

Bad Pizza, Good atmosphere 10/19/2002

I can honestly say that I've had on of the worst pizzas of my life here. It was gross and overly fat saturated. (like Pizza Hut!) I expected Italian style with (e.g D'Amico) but it was more like fast food pizza. Other food looked pretty good and I'm sorry I didn't go with something else. Do not go for PIZZA here!!!!!! Ambience was good, except it was very crowded. more

Great food-NO BARGAIN 10/3/2002

I love this restaruant, but it is not cheap. If you are looking for good, authentic Italian atmosphere, eat here. It is a great place to eat before going to a Wild game. Pros: great food Cons: expensive more

deadpan 9/24/2002

Like an Italian Disneyland in St. Paul. Customers are herded like cattle. The pizza, however, is good (although it used to be far better at the old, simpler location). Pros: Pizza, Clean Cons: Crowded, Bad Parking more

good pizza 8/12/2002
