I used to go to this place all the time when I lived in the city but now that my wife and I are in the burbs we don't really get to go again. So the last time we went was awesome! The food is still great and the prices are fair. The other thing we love about this place is the relaxed atmosphere! My husband and I were driving home from work and couldn't decide what to eat for dinner, we came across Corosh and decided to try it. The restaurant is cozy with a charming atmosphere. With started off with the calamari which was great. I had the linguini carbonara which was delicious and my husband had a salmon special which he loved. The sauce on the salmon brought together the entire entree, tying the fish and the vegetables together. Our server was friendly and attentive, and we never had to wait long for a refill. By the end of the meal we were both very content and very full, but our server highly recommended the homemade tiramisu, and since his other recommendations went over so well we took his advice and it was well worth it. I dined at Corosh after having lived in the neighborhood for 2 years and walking by it many times. My wife and I had an early dinner and by all accounts it was the worst meal we have ever had at a so called ""casual dining experience"". I have eaten off of taco stands in Mexico and back road diners in the middle of nowhere, but this was the first time I was afraid of getting sick after I finished eating. I highly recommend the brunch here on Sundays it is the best place to go. Not too crowded and the food is excellent. I love when they have the sweet potatoes and the chicken fajitas. The Banana Pancakes are by far the best in Chicago. Visit them you won't be sorry. more

i love going here, because corosh (the owner) is usually waiting by the door with a big smile and a hug. the food is good, the service ain't bad, and if you go there enough you get a couple free drinks from the friendly bar staff.. nice place for families, too... more
