I've been coming to Miami for years. I'd have to say that I've probably been to every club on South Beach. No club even comes close to Mansion! This place is gigantic! The desig...

My best friend & I went down to SoBe for a long weekend. We had heard alot about Mansion so we deceided we would troop down 10 blocks to find this "amazing club". Well the minut...

I was looking forward to enjoying great hip-hop in one of the many rooms in Mansion. When we went during December 2006 only one room was open. The ambience was nice and the place was packed with lots of different kinds of people. The DJ played a hodge podge of songs, which is fine, if that's what you're looking for. As much as I like "S*xy Back," there was no need to hear it twice in 2 hours - one time regular and once with a techno twist, especially considering that the song is over 3 months old. The newest hip-hop song I heard in 3 hours was a TI song from 2004. I would go just to say that you went there, but it really isn't the spot everyone makes it out to be. Pros: Real South Beach vibe Cons: Expensive drinks, below average DJs more

It's cool but not the hype. Better clubs can be found elsewhere. 12/21/2006

My sister and I were looking for something to do at 1:30 am Dec 16. We were told by the valet at our hotel to check out the Mansion. At first we went to a club next door for about 30 min. It was empty and seemed to have a lot of unattractive people there (except the staff who was very attractive). We left and went to the mansion. Initially we were told to pay $300 for a VIP table. We wanted to see the crowd first because we were not impressed with the people on the side walk who looked real corny. After a few minutes, we were allowed inside. We did notice one of the door men was not allowing us in because we are not size zero. However, when he noticed how much attention we drew on the streets by all of the other guys, he waived us through. The drinks were very weak especially for $11. No set dance floor and a lot of pretentious people were there. It was funny to us because they wanted to be ballers but they were fakes. So that night we did not see any celebs. The music was like any other club - nothing to fresh especially for a Saturday night. The bouncers were friendly and cool. The bartender was a little snotty. She seemed really bored with making drinks and ready to get off the clock. Whereas the bartendar at the club next door was very cool and conversational, the bartendar at the Mansion could care less about working for extra tips. I would recommend it to someone who had confidence and the look. Even if you're not a size zero, as long as you're an hour glass figure (nice hips and apple butt a plus) with a cute face, you will be let into the club. Don't expect too much stardom, though. The people did seem pretty corny and weak compared to some of the upscale clubs I've been too before. Honestly, the cover charge should be $5 since you can either take this club or leave it. Pros: Something to do and place to go just to say you've been there. Very cute bouncers. Cons: Having to stand outside because the door man's thought of beauty doesn't match most men. more

KINDEST DOORMAN IN THE WORLD 11/27/2006

Apparently it is extremely difficult for males that aren't fit and well dressed to get into huge clubs like these. It is true that women get in much sooner. The TIP FOR EVERYONE IS NOT to go there when the party starts, because you have to line up AND pay. It's much better and easier to get in after 2am or so. The story I would like to share with you is that this bouncer pulled 2 bucks out of his pocket to pay for me and my girl's cover when we ran short of cash. I could not have expected it and I truly appreciate it. He already gave us 50% off the regular price too. WOW WOW WOW. and this place is huge, with a terrific sound system that distinctly separates two rooms of music. Pros: (for the ladies) extremely friendly staff, impressive interior Cons: sweaty crowd, desperate men more

Great Dancing/Music/DJ, but the weakest drinks on SoBe. 7/8/2006

Mansion has the weakest drinks I've ever had for the price ($11). I complained to the super pretty bartender, and he said that their policy is to pour 1.5 ounces of booze in a mixed drink. As a bartender myself, I'm very familiar with what 1.5 ounces is, and their's aren't. Let's put it this way--after 4 vodka tonics (Smirnoff-their well vodka) I didn't even have a buzz. What the pretty bartender recommended to get your money's worth is order whatever liquor you want "on the rocks" and for $1 more, you'll get three ounces, instead of supposed 1.5. I tried this with a different bartender at a different bar (there are many in the club) and I definitely got my money's worth this way. The DJ was AWESOME! He played everything--Rap, Hip/Hop, 80's, Rock, Reggae, Reggaeton, etc. There isn't really a set dancefloor, so people are dancing everywhere. There is also a very eclectic mix of patrons, which is refreshing. They're not all pretty boys from the frat. For us, it was $20 to get in and we didn't have to wait in line because the concierge at our hotel gave us bracelets--I think that these only prevented us waiting in line, though. I'm pretty sure the cover is at least $20 no matter what. Probably more if you are a dude waiting in the line. Check with your hotel concierge to see if they have anything for this club or any others. I HEART concierge folks in general. They are very helpful. Also, there is LOTS of smoking inside--contrary to Citysearch description. Smoking of all sorts of substances. I think this only added character to the club. Pros: Great Music/DJ/Dancing, Good Scene Cons: Expensive, weak drinks. Plastic cups. more

Mansion Stands for- Waste of A Good Evening 9/30/2005

My friend and I was in Miami for the week and decided to try the Mansion, well what did we do that for? We didn't have a long wait but I wish I was one of the people they left begging to get in outside because it was not worth my time. The dj sucked and the crowd were all wanna be's RICH that is. They were all trying to out do each other and it was just the silliest thing I ever saw. No one could dance and it was just horrible. I would NEVER waste my time going to the Mansion again. I wouldn't care who was suppose to be a guest there! People standing outside RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Get To The Exit Door , Saying Goodbye, Learning the 1st Time Cons: DJ Sucked, Staff Sucked, Waste of Time more

User review by supersokha 7/13/2005

me and 2 of my girlfriends went to Mansion about a month ago on a saturday night and it was such a great experience. from the outside we were not impressed at all. there were 2 very long lines, but we barely waited 2 minutes when the bouncer came and picked us out from the crowd to go in. when we walked in, we were amazed at how huge the club was. there were all sorts of people in there (mostly attractive). they play hip-hop in one room and dance/trance in the other, so no matter what kind of music you prefer...this place is definitely the place to party in South Beach!! more

Fun and comfortable. 3/9/2005

I went to Mansion on a Wednesday night with two of my girlfriends. The line was long, but we were allowed to move up toward the front because we are ladies (hint: men-- don't go with a huge group of your guy friends. Bring lady friends for speedier entry!) The music was a mix of hip hop, 80s, and rock. This place is supposed to have a reputation for having a tough door staff. Not even close. The door staff was very nice and polite! I think you can get in as long as you're presentable... even if you don't look like a celebrity. If you are looking for a massive club (HUGE PARTY) go to Mansion! Pros: Large dance floor, Beautiful decor, Good value for the $ Cons: Too crowded at times, Rock music?? more

Awesome place 1/4/2005

I spent New Years at the Mansion and had a blast. I can't speak for any ordenary night, though. The drinks were perfectly made and the bartenders are fast and efficient. There are 3 or 4 bars with fast service. The place is spacious and looks great. There wasn;t much floor room to dance because of VIP booths, but people found enough space. Celebrities run rampant, seeing Jason Biggs, Wilmer Valderama, Shaq and The Black Eyed Peas. It was a great night. Pros: Great service, Excellent Decor, Celebrities more
