Review content:
Mansion has the weakest drinks I've ever had for the price ($11). I complained to the super pretty bartender, and he said that their policy is to pour 1.5 ounces of booze in a mixed drink. As a bartender myself, I'm very familiar with what 1.5 ounces is, and their's aren't. Let's put it this way--after 4 vodka tonics (Smirnoff-their well vodka) I didn't even have a buzz. What the pretty bartender recommended to get your money's worth is order whatever liquor you want "on the rocks" and for $1 more, you'll get three ounces, instead of supposed 1.5. I tried this with a different bartender at a different bar (there are many in the club) and I definitely got my money's worth this way.
The DJ was AWESOME! He played everything--Rap, Hip/Hop, 80's, Rock, Reggae, Reggaeton, etc. There isn't really a set dancefloor, so people are dancing everywhere. There is also a very eclectic mix of patrons, which is refreshing. They're not all pretty boys from the frat.
For us, it was $20 to get in and we didn't have to wait in line because the concierge at our hotel gave us bracelets--I think that these only prevented us waiting in line, though. I'm pretty sure the cover is at least $20 no matter what. Probably more if you are a dude waiting in the line. Check with your hotel concierge to see if they have anything for this club or any others. I HEART concierge folks in general. They are very helpful.
Also, there is LOTS of smoking inside--contrary to Citysearch description. Smoking of all sorts of substances. I think this only added character to the club.
Pros: Great Music/DJ/Dancing, Good Scene
Cons: Expensive, weak drinks. Plastic cups.
