Club 27

I go to club27 all the time with my friends. I love it on Saturdays but like it on thursdays too(but its alittle slower then sat nights) I have been going there for a year now and i read some of these reviews and its all lies. The Security dont just jump people. I have never seen that once-they did fire alot of guys so it looks to me like alot of new people. drink wise someone complained about the cups. yes they serve small cups cause its $1 and $2 Drinks. go around the corner and go get $7 drinks. I rather stay where the girls are and better drink specials are. I dont care if its 18 to party cause the kids are not near the adults and security is very tight on that. Now people that got picked on or so called beat up-dont go to the club all ghetto and they wont have to help you out the door. i have been to the club every weekend and had not ONE issue. they are all nice there and dont let ghetto in the club. I have seen alot of changes and i love the club. more

went there couple weeks ago wit my girl it was pretty good the bouncers were nicee to us and other clubbers were chillin.. cons; the creepy forigners; small dance floor and 3 bucks for a water wtf, but had an overalll goood night.. more

Perhaps I'm being too harsh on the establishment because I've never actually been inside . . . however, the crowd that this place draws spills out onto Chestnut at 2 AM and the neighborhood is then transformed into a "block party" of blaring music, screams and yelling, and general mayhem complimented by throwing paper plates and pizza on the streets, sidewalks and WALLS of a government building. It's unsafe, it's unacceptable and I hope that this club will relocate and get out of Old City - maybe even move across the water to a more suitable location, like Camden. I would say if your giving this place stars you work there...to me it looks like the operation is just totally run bad....dj's suck worst ones i have ever seen...that means mixing an music selection...drinks are watered down....i was pretty afraid i was going to get stabbed....not to mention my girl friends phone was stolen right off the table in front of us...it was our first time and last time...i see the place closing down soon there is no way it can stay open with all 18 year olds in there...btw VIP is a bunch of ripped up couches....and the main bar serves water and soda hahaha...$25 parking so put that in ur budget....place is garbage Pros: honestly couldnt find one Cons: everything from the outside in more

So a couple nights ago we went to club 27. It was my friends birthday so we were meeting them there. So I got a message saying that I could get reduced cover. So I go to the cashier and she tells me the cover is $15 dollars! I know it wasn't worth 15 dollars because I have been there on another occasion at the end of the night and got in for free with my friend. So I show the message and she says $12! Now this being the biggest cover I have ever had at a non famous place. So we need to meet our friends so we all pay the cover even tho allot of my friends didn't want to. So we get in find our friends and everything is good. So the one girl comes with me and says that we should get a shot, so I ask for two shots of house vodka. 5 dollars a shot! and it was something like vladamir or bankers club, basically along those lines. So okay its a shot I pay it, Then my friends go to get bottles of beer, they say they want the cheapest bottles and the lady comes back and says 5 dollars! It said in the message I got "w/$2 bottle/drinks" I also got a cranberry and vodka and it was 5 dollars! And to make it worse they drinks were measured not free poured so they were extremely weak also. So we get our drinks and everything and were all talking and a random guy comes up to us. He then proceeds to keep trying to talk to the girls that were with us and made them feel extremely uncomfortable, He also went as far as getting one of the guys in the group to come and dance, grabbing his arm and pulling him. Knowing that this could escalate into a problem my one friend talks to the bar tender and then she proceeds to get bouncers over. They were nice and were helpful and were happy that we didn't fight the guy. All in all its extremely expensive and not worth it in the least, the patrons or at least some of the patrons were a problem and there are a million better options in that area. I am writing to inform you that we have changed a lot of things to better our club. We have a whole new staff, new format, and overall a new Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Night. I went there last Thursday and it turned out to be a night of hell. I was dancing with my guy when all of a sudden another dude came up and started grinding on me, and so my interest gave a kindly gesture to the dude to back off. Suddenly my guy got punched in the jaw by the dude's friend. Right after we look for security, and this 300 pound bouncer came charging at us and pulled MY GUY to this dark stairwell and was gripping him up. Meanwhile, Im flipping out wondering wtf, where he is taking my guy, and holding on to my guy for dear life. The bouncer told me over and over "YOU CAN NOT COME DOWN HERE" and he physically grabbed and pushed me out of the way several times. I wasn't having it, I stuck through it all to stay by my guy, and know he was okay. Finally, we got outside where about 5 guys were just standing and waiting. Im sure you know what they would have done if i wasn't there. I have bruises up and down my arms from the bouncer, and for no God damn reason. We had done nothing wrong. If anything those other ahole's should have gotten thrown out. If you want to go somewhere twisted, good luck, man. Pros: nice lights. Cons: The people, the bouncer, 6$ a drink? wut?. more

ok if you go to club 27 u should put urself on the guest list alwayz call each club to get ont the guest list but anyway me and my friend went early when it wasnt packed but it got packed fast. and it was cold and the club was kinda basically in an alleyway wish was crazy also watch out from them big girls dancing above u cause u can c up their dresses lol. and it kinda looked like an old warehouse on the inside especially by the bar and bathroom bring antibacterial and its no doors so watch out but it was fine beyond some exceptions Pros: good the atmosphere Cons: bad dont buy drink not worth it and the bathrooms more

I was there at Club 27 Last Saturday and had the worst time. You put your name on a VIP list and still have to wait in a long line. All they say which is false advertisement that its $9 to get and and drinks are $3 mind you they dont say what time it is till. I think they should have a drink special price and the time till. The drink are entirely to expensive and it is a kids cup of a size got $14 mix drink that they give you. It was a small dance floor on the second floor. There is 3 floors but you can only drink in certain areas. I did not have a good time I wouldnt not recommended going to this club if you are over 21. There are reduced admission tickets that they were giving come to find out you go in and pay and you can use it when doesnt say that on the web page. It was $12 to get and and it wasnt even worth $12 specailly if you over 21. I thought that this club could have been alot better the way they advertise it on the internet. This place isnt bad at all if all you are looking for is hardcore rap and hiphop. I went there saturday night and the place was packed. If you are looking for nice European techno you definitely dont want to come here. Pros: lots of young girls and guys Cons: hardcore rap music more

Club 27 is mostly downs. It does have 3 rooms to party, but most people stay on the 2nd to dance and the 3rd floor is a narrow walkway surrounding the catwalk and some of the DJ booth. The catwalk is great for girls who wanna show off what they got, except most of the girls are south phillys finest and jersey trash. For those who want a real VIP section dont even come to Club 27. It consist of two leather couches (that look worn away) and a few glass tables in the middle. I dont know how many times Ive seen random people drifiting into the VIP section, only to be kicked out minutes later. Personally, if I pay a few hundred dollars to party VIP, I dont want to see someone random siting in my spot. On New Years Eve I heard countless stories of people who never even got their paid for bottels. Did I mention the electricity that goes out everytime I have been there?? Club 27 is great for those who want a typical night out in Philly. Cons: terrible VIP service & trashy atmosphere more

Overall it was a good place to dance , but they do have false asvertisement. It Does have 3 floors but VERY SMALL. I thought the drinks were expensesive for the size. and the drinks i asked for the Bartender said she didn't have the Liquor.What? lol...but the crowd was a good feel mixture of races and for the most part everybody got along. I think 2 fights broke out but the staff handled it well. Good time..BALLIN.... Pros: Good vibe Cons: Dixie size cups for drinks and expensive....need BIGGER cup more

Aright lets just start with the staff, all great people kind of like an family... If u like to dance well there is three floors to get your boogie on, and every floor has a different vibe of music to fit just about everyone.... Then u have your Dj's witch are the hottest in philly..... You have 96.5 on fridays and Q102 on saturdays cant beat that... Then u have your vip and service, very nice size vip and the service is better then a 5 star hotel and its faster then a pat's cheese steak..... So if your lookin for a great club and great people come to club 27.... Pros: GREAT STAFF Cons: NONE more

i dont know what that person was talking about on the last comment but i went there on a saturday and waited line for almost hour got in and had the time of my life there were so many hot girls in there anyways there were three floor to party on they have five bars when i tell u great muisc it was the best i ever heard in a night club they have three djs cheapest drinks in the city so with all that said i would say to all that read this club 27 is the hottest club in philly i know i will be back there every saturday thanks 27 for the time of my life Pros: great muisc and great drinks Cons: there were none i can see more

this club is horrible we waited in line for 45 minutes and when we got in we couldnt even move we were shoulder to shoulder we were there for an hour and didnt even make it up stairs three fights broke out right next to us maybe it was just because it was saturday but im not going back to find out Pros: cheap Cons: way to packed and hard to get to if you dont know the area more

CLUB 27 - New Year's Eve 12/31/06-1/1/2007 Club 27's advertisement for New Years appeared to offer much more than it did. I paid $75 to get in this place. They were supposed to open at 9 and they were late opening. I waited in line for 30min just to get in. Open bar was from 9-12. By the time we finally got in we needed to get checked off this sheet, and the lady checking people off was soooooooo slow. I feel like they made us wait on purpose so people did not have the full time for the open bar. One of the worst parts of the night was waiting for the food. THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. (On the advertisement it said they had assorted desserts and brownies - What they really had was the cheap cookies you get at the supermarket and NO brownies!) The hot food was NOT hot and tasted like something I would have eaten at my high school cafeteria. Club 27 LACKS organization. They did NOT have enough bartenders on!!!! IT TOOK FOREVER to get a drink. WORST of all they gave drinks out in bathroom sized dixie cups! Overall, Club 27 should be ashamed of them self?s for ripping off so many people. VIP people paid $125 a ticket, and it really did not seem like they got anymore than general admission. They ate the same lame food, they danced in the ONE dance floor they have.
